123The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville yearbook was first published in 1897 as the Cardinal. The Cardinal was published through 1915, and in 1916 the name of the yearbook was changed to the Razorback.This material may depict ethnic, racial, and gender insensitivity that was once commonplace in American society. Such portrayals were wrong then and are wrong today. While not representing the views of the University of Arkansas today, the issues of this publication are being presented as they were originally created because to do otherwise would be the same as claiming these prejudices never existed
