    Fusion Method with Mean-discrete Algorithm in Feature level for Identical twins Identification

    The study on twins is an important form of study in the forensic and biometrics field as twins share similar genetic traits. A biometric is one of the common types of pattern recognition which acquires biometric data from a person. From these data, a feature is established and extracted where these features can be used to identify individual. Exiting works in biometric identification concentrate on unimodal biometric identification. The high similarity in a pair of twin’s biometric may lead to miss performance. Hence, due to their great accurateness, multimodal biometric systems have become more favored than unimodal biometric systems in identical twins identification. However, these systems are highly complex. We proposed Mean-Discrete feature based fusion algorithm for Kurdish handwriting and fingerprint for identical twins detection. Its viability and advantage over the unimodal biometric systems are highlighted. This paper employed 800 images from 50 pairs of identical twins from Kurdistan Region to carry out the experiment

    Fall Detection Using Neural Network Based on Internet of Things Streaming Data

    Fall event has become a critical health problem among elderly people. We propose a fall detection system that analyzes real-time streaming data from the Internet of Things (IoT) to detect irregular patterns related to fall. We train a deep neural network model using accelerometer data from an online physical activity monitoring dataset named, MobiAct. An IBM Cloud-based IoT data processing framework is used to manage streaming data. About 96.71% of accuracy is achieved in assessing the performance of the proposed model

    يهدف البحث الى قياس طبيعة العلاقة لمتغيرات البحث لكل من نظام الذكاء التسويقي وابعاده الفرعية واسعاد الزبون. اما مشكلة الدراسة فتتمثل بالسؤال الآتي : هل لنظام الذكاء التسويقي دور في تحقيق اسعاد الزبون في  المنظمات المبحوثة؟    اما الفرضية الرئيسة للدراسة فكانت (هناك دور لنظام الذكاء التسويقي في تحقيق اسعاد الزبون في المنظمات المبحوثة)، وبذلك تتفرع من الفرضية الرئيسة فرضيتين فرعيتين، الأولى مفادها ان هناك علاقة ارتباط  معنوية ذات دلالة احصائية بين نظام الذكاء التسويقي وابعاده وتحقيق اسعاد الزبون في المنظمات المدروسة، أما الثانية فتشير الى ان هناك تأثير معنوي ذو دلالة احصائية لنظام الذكاء التسويقي وابعاده في تحقيق اسعاد الزبون في المنظمات المدروسة. ولغرض اختبار الفرضيات تم استخدام عدد من اساليب التحليل الاحصائي كالتكرارات والنسب المئوية والأوساط الحسابية و الانحرافات المعيارية ومعامل الارتباط بالاضافة الى معامل الانحدار الخطي البسيط. وصل البحث إلى عدة إستنتاجات من اهمها ان هناك علاقة معنوية بين الذكاء التسويقي وبين اسعاد الزبون، كما تبين ان الذكاء التسويقي له تاثير معنوي في اسعاد الزبون. وبناءاً على الاستنتاجات قدمت الدرسة مجموعة من التوصيات من اهمها، ان على المنظمات المبحوثة الإهتمام بكل العوامل والابعاد التي من شأنها أن تؤدي إلى إسعاد الزبائن، تستوجب على المنظمات أن تعمل على زرع ثقافة اسعاد الزبون لدى العاملين فيها. الكلمات الدالة- الذكاء التسويقي، أبعاد الذكاء التسويقي، إسعاد الزبون، الفنادق خمس النجوم، مدينة السليمانية.  The objective of this study is to measure the nature of the relationship between research variables including the dimensions of marketing intelligent system and customer size. The study investigates whether marketing intelligent system plays the role in obtaining customer happiness in business organizations. The study tried to measure the relationship between marketing intelligence system and its dimension against customer happiness in the given organizations. It also aims to identify the impacts of moral factor of marketing intelligent system and its dimensions on customer happiness. To test given hypotheses, the study used a number of statistical analysis methods such as repetitions, percentages, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, and simple linear regression coefficient. The findings indicated that there is a strong positive relationship between marketing intelligence and customer happiness. The study also identified a strong positive correlation between moral factors of marketing intelligence and customer happiness.  The study concluded that organizations should take full consideration to the factors that delights customers. Finally, the study recommends that organizations should work through employees to cultivate a culture of customer happiness.     Fingerprint Authentication using Shark Smell Optimization Algorithm

       Recognition of people relying on biometric characteristics is a common phenomenon in our society. It has increased in recent years in most areas of life such as government, department, companies, and banks. Fingerprint identification is one of the most common and credible personal biometric identification methods. Extracting features are one of the most important steps in the fingerprint identification; the strength of any system depends mainly on this step, where whenever the features obtained are accurate whenever the identification process is more accurate. Therefore, an effective and efficient method must be used to extract the features. This paper solved two main problems that were (1) improving security by designing and implementing an accurate, efficient, and fast authentication system for the identification and verification process using an intelligent algorithm to extract the best features from the fingerprint image and (2) evaluating the strength of the Shark Smell Optimization (SSO) in the search space with a chosen set of metrics. This paper aims to extract the best features of the fingerprint image using an algorithm that depends on nature for its movement and work; therefore, the SSO was used. In this paper, the SSO algorithm is used to extract the features. SSO is a new meta-heuristic algorithm that uses smart methods and random movements to get its prey. These methods and movements were used to extract features from the fingerprint image which will be used later for identification and verification process. The proposed method is implemented through four phases, namely, create a database to store and organize data, image pre-processing using median filter, feature extraction using SSO algorithm, and matching process using euclidean distance. The results demonstrated the strength, accurate, credible, and effectiveness of the algorithm used by applying it on (150) real fingerprint samples taken from university students, where the results of false acceptation rate, false rejection rate, and correct verification rate were 0.00, 0.00666, and 99.334%, respectively

    Several years ago, China and the United States of America began experimenting with the coronavirus, which lives in the bat. It is not known until now how the virus spread and how it extended to all countries of the world. However, it is certain that this virus first appeared and spread was at the end of 2019 and in the Chinese city of Wuhan, especially in markets close to laboratories that are working on this virus. At the beginning of the year 2020, this virus began to spread very widely all over the world and began killing thousands of people every day. The world economy was destroyed until the World Health Organization considered it a pandemic. As for the research aspect, the researchers started the research work on this pandemic from many aspects, including medical, statistical, managerial, healthcare, and others. A statistical analysis depends many key factors that have been studied. This study was conducted on April 11, 2020, where a large number of research papers were downloaded using the keywords coronavirus disease (COVID)-19, which were applied in the Sciencedirect library that was examined on 100 research papers only. The obtained results indicated that most of the research papers that worked on the subject of COVID-19 confirmed that this virus infects the human respiratory system, which in turn leads to shortness of breath and death. Here, it must be noted that the human immune system has a major role in the process of overcoming this virus and gradual recovery. The obtained analysis indicated that the main fields of coronavirus are: Medicine 42%, statistics 21%, healthcare 19%, and management 18%. Through this study, it became clear that China is the first country in terms of the number of researchers and also in terms of the number of research papers related to the COVID-19

    Big Data Sentimental Analysis Using Document to Vector and Optimized Support Vector Machine

    With the rapid evolution of the internet, using social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr, is becoming so common that they have made a great impact on every aspect of human life. Twitter is one of the most popular micro-blogging social media that allow people to share their emotions in short text about variety of topics such as company’s products, people, politics, and services. Analyzing sentiment could be possible as emotions and reviews on different topics are shared every second, which makes social media to become a useful source of information in different fields such as business, politics, applications, and services. Twitter Application Programming Interface (Twitter-API), which is an interface between developers and Twitter, allows them to search for tweets based on the desired keyword using some secret keys and tokens. In this work, Twitter-API used to download the most recent tweets about four keywords, namely, (Trump, Bitcoin, IoT, and Toyota) with a different number of tweets. “Vader” that is a lexicon rule-based method used to categorize downloaded tweets into “Positive” and “Negative” based on their polarity, then the tweets were protected in Mongo database for the next processes. After pre-processing, the hold-out technique was used to split each dataset to 80% as “training-set” and rest 20% “testing-set.” After that, a deep learning-based Document to Vector model was used for feature extraction. To perform the classification task, Radial Bias Function kernel-based support vector machine (SVM) has been used. The accuracy of (RBF-SVM) mainly depends on the value of hyperplane “Soft Margin” penalty “C” and γ “gamma” parameters. The main goal of this work is to select best values for those parameters in order to improve the accuracy of RBF-SVM classifier. The objective of this study is to show the impacts of using four meta-heuristic optimizer algorithms, namely, particle swarm optimizer (PSO), modified PSO (MPSO), grey wolf optimizer (GWO), and hybrid of PSO-GWO in improving SVM classification accuracy by selecting the best values for those parameters. To the best of our knowledge, hybrid PSO-GWO has never been used in SVM optimization. The results show that these optimizers have a significant impact on increasing SVM accuracy. The best accuracy of the model with traditional SVM was 87.885%. After optimization, the highest accuracy obtained with GWO is 91.053% while PSO, hybrid PSO-GWO, and MPSO best accuracies are 90.736%, 90.657%, and 90.557%, respectively

    Quality Improvement for Exemplar-based Image Inpainting using a Modified Searching Mechanism

    Digital image processing has a significant impact in different research areas including medical image processing, biometrics, image inpainting, object detection, information hiding, and image compression. Image inpainting is a science of reconstructing damaged parts of digital images and filling-in regions in which information are missing which has many potential applications such as repairing scratched images, removing unwanted objects, filling missing area, and repairing old images. In this paper, an image inpainting algorithm is developed based on exemplar, which is one of the most important and popular images inpainting technique, to fill-in missing area that caused either by removing unwanted objects, by image compression, by scratching image, or by image transformation through internet. In general, image inpainting consists of two main steps: The first one is the priority function. In this step, the algorithm decides to select which patch has the highest priority to be filled at the first. The second step is the searching mechanism to find the most similar patch to the selected highest priority patch to be inpainted. This paper concerns the second step and an improved searching mechanism is proposed to select the most similar patch. The proposed approach entails three steps: (1) Euclidean distance is used to find the similarity between the highest priority patches which need to be inpainted with each patch of the input image, (2) the position/location distance between those two patches is calculated, and (3) the resulted value from the first step is summed with the resulted value obtained from the second step. These steps are repeated until the last patch from the input image is checked. Finally, the smallest distance value obtained in step 3 is selected as the most similar patch. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed approach gained a higher quality in terms of both objectives and subjective compared to other existing algorithms

    Hematological Impacts of the Traffic Emissions in Sulaymaniyah Governorate

    Abstract The current study was achieved to evaluate the essential hematologic impacts of traffic emission. Ninety-six cases were studied included both exposures and controls. The focal point was on Raparin District in Sulaimani Governorates. A questioner form was depended for collecting information about each case. Fresh venous blood (5ml) were collected aseptically from both exposures and controls. Hematologic Autoanalyzer (Coulter) was used for hematologic investigations. It appeared that the mean leukocyte counts were higher among exposures in comparison to controls; the period of exposure and smoking were significantly effective on total white cells. Lymphocyte counts were significantly declined among exposures. It appeared that the distance from the emission gas sources, smoking, and period of exposure was significantly effective on the total lymphocyte counts (p<0.05). No valuable effects of traffic emission were noticed on granulocytes in general (p>0.05), although the neutrophil counts were significantly higher among exposure. It was concluded that traffic emission has no significant effects on Red cell profiles, including red cell numbers, Hb, HCT, RDW, MCH in general (p>0.05). The current study revealed that there were no noticeable effects of traffic emission, generally on the total platelet counts between exposures and controls. It has concluded that the distance from the emission sources was significantly effective on platelet counts among exposures themselves (p<0.05). &nbsp

    The Challenge of Cyber Attacks in the “Information Age” and the Jus Ad Bellum

    The present paper examines the problem of cyber-attacks under existing international law. It takes the view that the (United Nations) UN Charter provisions on the use of force can be extended to cyber-attacks by means of interpretation although the relevant provisions do not explicitly address such issue. This Article argues that cyber-attacks resulting in material damage or destruction to property, death or injury to persons, or severe disruption of the functioning of critical infrastructures can be characterized as use of armed force and therefore violate the prohibition contained in article 2(4) of the Charter. However, cyber-attacks not resulting in the above consequences may be illegal intervention in the internal affairs of other states if such attacks are coercive in nature. In addition, the current study discusses that a cyber-attack which amounts to a use of armed force per se is not sufficient to give the victim state the right to self-defense, unless its scale and effects are equivalent to those of a conventional armed attack. Finally, the study concludes that an international cyber treaty is truly necessary to more effectively address cyber-attacks
