    Get PDF
Generation Z has many attributes and if we were to sum them up in one word, it is certainly specific. Although we also discuss few commonalities with Millennials in our article, Z generation presents a big challenge for brands to reach them, as their expectations of brands, as well as their own lifestyle, are diametrically opposed. At the same time, Generation Z is entering the labour market, so they are also starting to become economically active, although their behaviours and expectations in this area are also different. In our article, we looked at reaching Generation Z via the communication strategy of brands. Thus, based on the characteristics of Generation Z and primary and secondary research, the aim of the article is to look at the possible methods of reaching this target group via communication strategy in specific segments. The primary research focuses on how the representatives of Generation Z perceive brands, why they pay their attention to them and what is their approach to advertising. We will point out the results of secondary research on marketing communications and consumer behaviour of a generational cohort of young people and the impact of marketing communications and communication strategy on their lives. At the same time, with the partial results of our own survey, we will point out the preferences of factors in purchasing decisions

This manuscript aims to estimate the impact of monetary stability and commercial exposure on the agricultural sector's production of vegetable oils in Iraq for the period 2003-2020. We assume that monetary stability and commercial exposure impact the quantity of vegetable oil production. Use descriptive analytical approach and use econometric techniques estimate the impact utilizing unit root testing with the extended Dickey-Fuller (ADF) time series test. The variables became stationary after taking their first difference. According to Johansen, co-integration was observed when co-integration was tested as the vector error correction model (VECM) was applied. There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the independent monetary stability variable (X1), the independent trade exposure variable (X2), and the dependent variable of the quantity of vegetable oil production (Q). That is, there is a long-term equilibrium relationship that goes from (X1) and (X2) to (Q). The results indicate that there is a significant positive relationship (positive effect) between monetary stability (X1) and the agricultural production of vegetable oils (Q) in the long term. There is an inverse significant relationship (reverse effect) of commercial exposure (X2) on agricultural production of vegetable oils (Q) in the long term. The quality of the model's performance and its safety from standard problems were confirmed. The manuscript recommends that the government of Iraq get up prioritize supporting the vegetable oils sector by developing a strategy that works to increase production and includes providing financial and in-kind support and preparing infrastructure for the agricultural sector to reflect the increase in the production of vegetable oils because they are considered a cash crop and essential for achieving food security

The native teachers of Chinese are often perceived as lacking in critical thinking and creativity when it comes to employing culturally appropriate and relatable learning content in their lesson delivery to foreign Chinese language learners. However, there is little research pertaining to the methods  that native teachers of Chinese can use to critically and creatively transform their instructional materials, strategies, and beliefs towards localizing the Chinese language curriculum to better suit students coming from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. In an attempt to address this issue, a case study methodology, combined with photo-elicitation interviews, was adopted for data collection. It investigated a bilingual Chinese teacher-researcher who critically and flexibly utilized his cultural and linguistic repertoires in enacting translanguaging pedagogy practices in the Australian education context. This study reveals that the native Chinese teacher-researcher, was able to use his critical thinking and creative abilities backed by his indigenous Chinese linguistic and cultural concepts and metaphors to source and select appropriate localized content that facilitates student learning. Such translanguaging practices demonstrated that the native Chinese teacher-researcher’s critical thinking capability helped shape up intercultural pedagogy giving rise to a localized Chinese language curriculum in the Australian education context

This study examines the pragmatic role of ostensible lies—communicative acts in which falsehoods are mutually recognized but strategically presented as truth—in academic interactions within Jordanian culture. The problem addressed is the limited understanding of these socially coordinated lies and their functions in educational settings. The study's significance lies in its contribution to uncovering how such lies facilitate communication, negotiation of authority, and social boundaries. Data were gathered through informal interviews where participants recounted experiences with ostensible lies in academic contexts. The analysis involved identifying these lies and interpreting their off-record pragmatic purposes. The results reveal that ostensible lies serve several key functions, including avoiding compliments, softening authority, issuing indirect warnings, promoting self-reliance, easing fears of repercussions, persuasion, and maintaining interpersonal boundaries. These findings offer insights into the intersection of cultural norms and pragmatic strategies, with future research needed to explore their effects on educational outcomes and cross-cultural comparisons
