    Get PDF
This study investigates the group characteristics of WeChat users’ paradoxical privacy behaviors by constructing user portraits to fully understand the differences between user group characteristics and paradoxical privacy behaviors on social media platforms, and to provide users with personalized privacy protection and targeted services, strategy and specific instructions. This study takes WeChat users as the research object and uses the Vals2 attitude scale as a reference to construct a group image annotation system for WeChat users' paradoxical privacy behavior from the perspective of psychological preferences. By issuing questionnaires, the paradoxical privacy behavior of WeChat users was analyzed using methods such as factor analysis, cluster analysis, and discriminant analysis. Clustering users' paradoxical behaviors in privacy to obtain data and characterize different user groups. Research results show that the group image of WeChat users’ paradoxical privacy behavior can be divided into three types: experience-oriented, mature and rational, and egocentric. This study proposes an ambivalent group behavior model of social media user privacy. In the future, we will modify the group portrait model and consider using it in other scenarios

    Get PDF
This study aimed at identifying the way of Media's framing of gender while covering Twitter official accounts for the international news channels concerning Morocco's earthquake. To achieve the study objectives. The researchers used quantitative and qualitative content-analysis approach by using MAXQDA software. Adopted in Ali (2014), where similar sample-selection way and analysis categories were used. The study’s findings indicate that Al-Jazeera account was the most publishing site to mixed images (males/ females) with a total of 22 images, whereas (CNN) account was the most publishing site to women's images with a total of 17 images. The results of image-analysis, according to the category, revealed that the most common category was “helplessness” with a percentage of 46%. The images of “weakness and sickliness” were identical for the mixed and women's images, whereas only one image was for men. This revealed that women have usually been amongst the weakest categories that were more exposed to risks in case of natural disasters, such as earthquakes and floods. Image analysis revealed that the means of media supports the idea that some housework tasks are exclusive for women, and that those tasks may increase in times of natural disasters. Some images revealed that women remain physically strong and attempt to overcome this disaster, where they could break the stereotypical view implying that women are helpless in times of crises

Woldemar Voigt’s Alliance of Finite Reality with Infinite Fantasy

    Get PDF
This article tries to explain why we should ally the cerebral, vertical, and asymmetrical finiteness spared in autism with the cerebellar, horizontal, and symmetrical infinity impaired in it to avoid global warming, a super-wicked problem. The physicist Woldemar Voigt implied the alliance of detectible finiteness and lying infinity in 1887 at the University of Göttingen through the transformations of his “Shining Sphere,” or Riemann Sphere. Since they cannot lie, autistics cannot face problems, rooted in the maybe of dreaming and fantasy. The author posits that our problem is ignoring the alliance of classical asymmetry and quantum symmetry in our brainstem, Stonehenge’s builders, artless discourse, and nature’s nature. He also suggests that recalling nature’s roots will save about eight billion nonautistic liars (rooted in the “tree of knowledge”) from a disaster worse than Lisbon’s Earthquake in 1755. The ruin of life on Earth can wane by willfully grasping the union of vertical and finite asymmetry with horizontal and infinite symmetry in the “tree of life.” Asymmetrical finiteness (e.g., from front to back in a dog tick) hugs symmetrical infinity in living beings (e.g, the legs and eyes of a dog tick) as relativity hugs quantum physics; and Descartes’ cosines hug Euler’s sines in a complex plane

However, many of the previous studies only focused on the characteristics and traits of the influencers, but lack of studies was examined on the reputation aspect of the influencer. Thus, this study aims to examine the consumers’ perception of SMI’s reputation of a beauty company, which comprised of Communication Skills, Influence, Authenticity, and Expert. The study applied a quantitative design through a survey method to solicit 190 usable responses via purposive sampling. The findings demonstrated that the four dimensions of SMI’s reputation are positively perceived by the respondents, where the Expert dimension was highly perceived by the consumers of the beauty company, followed by Influence, Communication Skills, and Authenticity. Thus, the beauty brand and marketing managers should examine the qualities and reputation of the SMIs before allowing them to endorse or promote the products, to ensure they have favorable images in the public eye. Conclusion, implications, and future research were discussed

Evaluation of the Quality of Online Information About Perinatal Depression in China

    Get PDF
This study assessed the quality of Chinese-language websites that provide information about perinatal depression, focusing on their compliance with recognized quality standards, the impact of information content providers on information quality, and the correlation between search engine ranking and quality. We conducted a systematic search on the Baidu search engine and screened 55 relevant websites. The quality of these websites was assessed using the DISCERN instruments. Our findings suggest that the quality of information on websites about perinatal depression is predominantly 'poor', with commercial sites constituting the entirety of the sample, although health information content provided by non-profit organizations demonstrating significantly higher quality. There was a significant negative correlation between search engine rankings and the quality of information on perinatal depression, suggesting that higher quality content is less likely to be searched for and may hinder access to reliable information. This study highlights the urgent need for mechanisms to prioritize the display of high-quality information in search engine results to provide better assistance to Chinese patients with perinatal depression
