Aspects That Hinder Integration Of Men In Reproductive Planning: An Integrative Review
This study aimed to identify the aspects that hinder the integration of man in reproductive planning. An integrative review of the literature was made in May 2016 in the LILACS and BDENF databases using the descriptors "nursing", "family planning" and "ethics", considering the period from 2005 to 2015, resulting in 6 articles. According to data, the year 2014 had 3 publications, the Portuguese language was predominant in 5 articles and all the studies have level of evidence IV. After reading the articles in full, three aspects were identified that hinder men's participation in reproductive planning: gender social construction, inadequate health services and lack of qualification and/or professional commitment. It is concluded that new research is necessary to increase the scientific evidence and to consolidate references for the performance of professionals and for the existing public policies regarding the participation of men in reproductive planning
Influence Of Number Of Pregnancies In Peak Expiratory Flow And Body Composition Of Pregnant Women
Objectives: to describe and compare the mean values of the body composition and the peak expiratory flow (PEF) in primigravidae and multigravidae and, to determine its correlation with obstetric, anthropometric and body composition variables.
Method: it was performed a cross-sectional study of 120 healthy pregnant women at low risk, including 77 primigravidae and 43 multigravidae. The PEF was measured by spirometry and the body composition by multisegmental electrical impedance. The unpaired t test was used to compare the groups and the Pearson correlation test was used to determine the association between PEF and independent variables. A multiple linear regression was used to estimate the relationship between the dependent variable, the PEF and the independent variables.
Results: the body composition variables in multigravidae women showed higher values compared to the primigravidae, being statistically significant, except for fat mass. In primigravidae, the PEF was correlated significantly with maternal age and height. In multigravidae, the PEF was correlated with maternal age, height, pre-pregnancy and current weight, total body water, extracellular water, fat mass, lean mass and fat-free mass. A Multiple linear regression analysis showed that, in primigravidae, height and maternal age were associated with PEF, being responsible for explaining 14.5% of its variability. The current weight and the maternal age explained 42.3% of peak flow variability in multigravidae.
Conclusion: The PEF seemed to be influenced by the number of pregnancies. Changes were observed in relation to the body composition, as it was evidenced in correlation with the PEF in multigravidae women.

Removal of artificial dental calculus by use of conventional and diamond ultrasound tips.
Introduction: Periodontal disease is considered a public health problem and may lead to serious complications as the general health of patient. The main therapeutic procedure is scaling and root planing, which can be performed by a variety of techniques and instruments
Objective:The aim of the present study was to evaluate the removal of calculus, produced artificially, by using a conventional ultrasonic tip and a diamond – CVD tip.
Method: The calculus was produced with artificial sawdust and glue-based cyanoacrylate and distributed in twenty areas also standardized on two plates of acrylic resin (chemical activated), holding 10 samples per plate. Standards / samples were divided by lot into two simple groups, being A (treated with conventional tip) and B (treated with CVD tip).
Results:The treatment in Group A, promoted an average area of 20.48 ± 4.20 mm2 free of artificial calculus which is significantly higher (p <0.05) than the area removed in Group B (15.37 ± 5.29 mm2).
Conclusion:The results showed that the conventional tip presented higher results than CVD tip for efficacy in the removal of calculus
Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Associated With Uncommon Abnormalities
Congenital diaphragmatic hernia is a poor formation of the diaphragm characterized by the presence of an intestinal malrotation, It is related to abnormal position of the intestine in the thorax. This case report a stillborn at 32 weeks, that was observe anatomical abnormalities associated with congenital diaphragmatic hernia, which occurred in the left antero-posterior region, such as intestinal malrotation, hepatomegaly and nephromegaly, with the presence of a hernial ring that occupied 80 % of the left side of the diaphragm, besides a hypertrophied heart, deviated to the right, bilateral pulmonary hypotrophy. This case illustrates a rare case of diaphragmatic hernia with intestinal changes of clinical and surgical importance
Prevalence Of Burnout Syndrome And Factors Associated With University Teachers
This is a systematic review that sought to identify the prevalence and factors associated with Burnout Syndrome in university teachers. The collection of the studies was done through descriptors in databases, which resulted in the selection of 8 articles. The prevalence for burnout had a small variation, but presented worrying values. The most frequent associated factors were: work overload, accumulation of activities beyond teaching, high employment ties, devaluation of the work performed and low remuneration. Burnout is still little recognized and studied in the category of university teachers, and it is difficult to identify an exact prevalence for this category. However, the associated factors are well defined and should be considered as a starting point for the prevention of the syndrome
Predisposing Factors For Incidence Of Congenital Syphilis
The study aims to synthesize the knowledge produced in articles about the predisposing factors for the incidence of Congenital Syphilis. An integrative review was conducted in May and June 2014. Three databases were consulted and all publications available at the pre-established time frame were collected. The descriptors congenital syphilis, incidence and causality in Portuguese, English and Spanish were used, resulting in 1723 articles, of which 23 were selected. The results show deficiency in prenatal care; poor diagnosis; inadequante care of the disease; unequal socioeconomic conditions; difficult access to health services; and poor guidelines. The increasing number of new cases of congenital syphilis is due to several factors that can be prevented through quality prenatal care. Therefore, care actions during pregnancy and puerperium need to be redirected so that they are based on early diagnosis, immediate treatment of the couple and health education
Representational comparisons of health education for alcoholics: a study of AnCo-networks
Introduction: the advancement of alcoholism on the population has already been characterized as a serious public health problem, requiring the development of actions and strategies to reduce the vulnerability of these individuals.
Objective: To know the social representations from the inducer term "health education for alcoholics", and also to identify sociodemographic and defining characteristics about alcohol consumption.
Method: this is a mixed approach of research, a type of transversal, census and exploratory, which included 121 students. We used the use of technique of free evocation of words to inducing term "Health education for alcoholics", and a questionnaire that identifies the aspects related to alcohol consumption and social issues involved.
Results: 56.2% of people have consumed alcohol, and 37.2% live with people that consume alcohol daily, and when asked about the knowledge of the parents towards the consumption of alcohol 46.3% respond positively, and 62.8% dialogue before the consummation, they were identified as core words: help, support groups, lectures or family.
Conclusion: Health education as practice should be represented by care networks in mental health of the Unified Health System - SUS, which are responsible for activities that provide reeducation to alcoholics, involving the family in the context
Palliative Care in Brazil: With a View to Future Needs?
Background: Chronic non-communicable diseases (CNCD) constitute a health problem of growing magnitude in Brazil, leading concerns, to the Ministry of Health (MOH), about the care of persons with chronic conditions (due to advanced diseases), multiple harms to health, convalescents and in need of long-term care, requiring continuous assistance, physical and functional rehabilitation. However, few data exist on the size of the population potentially in need of palliative care in Brazil.
Aim: this study is to estimate the size of the Brazilian population that could benefit from palliative care across 26 federated states and the Federal District.
