An overview on Laakso spaces
Laakso's construction is a famous example of an Ahlfors -regular metric measure space admitting a weak -Poincare inequality that can not be embedded in for any . The construction is of particular interest because it works for any fixed dimension , even fractional ones. In this paper we will shed some light on Laakso's work by expanding some of his statements and proving results that were left unproved in the original paper
EnThe contribution, starting from the analysis of the phenomenon of the "alternation between proceedings and trial", through the study of case law, intends to make a proposal going back to the heart of the institution of the re-exercise of administrative power, a reflection of the principle of in-consumability of power. Orienting the arguments by means of the principle of humanity, proper to migration law, an attempt will be made to find a solution capable of limiting the in-consumability of power and, therefore, the unlimited exercise and re-exercise of administrative power
The Role of 'Concepts' in John Pocock's Methodology
The study of 'concepts' is one of the problematic issues in the methodology of the history of political thought. The different dimensions of the problem cannot be understood without following the discussions of the 'Cambridge School', of which John Pocock is recognised as one of the main figures, and its debates with approaches such as the 'history of concepts'. But, given that in Pocock's theory, 'language(s)' and linguistic structures such as 'discourse' and 'paradigm' are more important, the role of 'concepts' in his methodology has not been properly investigated. Melvin Richter even once declared that Pocock's approach lacks attention to the history of concepts. This article tries to demonstrate that not only does Pocock not neglect concepts theoretically, and in his research he investigates practically the history of concepts wherever needed, but also, the concepts in his methodology become more effective than he initially assumes
A New Ridge – type in the Bell Regression Model
In scenario analysis, collinearity is a big issue in analyzing such relationship as between the response variable and several explanatory variables. As for these difficulties, the linear regression model, often traditionally, offers a range of shrinkage estimators. One such estimator is the ridge estimator. Thus, in order to fit count data with over-dispersion, for the bell regression model, this paper presents an improvement of the new Ridge-type estimator. Judging from the Monte Carlo simulation and the application of the Bell regression model, it was noted that the proposed estimate yields on average a smaller mean squared error than the other candidate estimators
