Per un'edizione delle postille di Niccolò Tommaseo alla Crusca veronese del Cesari
Get PDFThis article examines the handwritten annotations made by Niccolò Tommaseo in the first volume of the Crusca veronese edited by Abbot Antonio Cesari. It retraces the research process carried out by the author, with particular attention to the transcription and analysis of these annotations, aiming to reconstruct the Dalmatian scholar's linguistic reflections and lexicographic methods. The study highlights the systematic nature of Tommaseo's annotations and connects them to his later lexicographic works, such as the Nuovo dizionario de' sinonimi and the Dizionario della lingua italiana. Finally, the article presents a sample critical edition of selected annotations, accompanied by a discussion of the editorial criteria applied
Abnormal honeycomb stingrays Himantura uarnak (Dasyatidae) from the Syrian coast (Eastern Mediterranean Sea)
Get PDFThe authors report in the present paper from the Syrian coast the captures of two specimens of the honeycomb stingray, Himantura uarnak (Forskål, 1775) displaying a morphological abnormality. Both specimens exhibited pectoral non-adherent to the head. They are female specimens, and one of them was a large specimen, an adult female measuring 1485 mm in disc width (DW) and 3130 in total length (TL), its total body weight (TBW) reached 150 kg, probably the largest and heaviest honeycomb stingray known to date. The second specimen was a juvenile female. The abnormality herein described is the most widespread in batoid species. This kind of abnormality is due to the fact that the pectoral fins failed to fuse during the embryonic development. This abnormality has a genetic origin but according to authors, it could be also the result of other factors, mainly environmental such as the role of pollutants

Get PDFItIl focus dell'articolo è l'analisi del Patto su Migrazione e Asilo dell'UE del 2024. Attraverso un rapido excursus dell'evoluzione della politica migratoria europea, soprattutto dalla crisi del 2015 in poi, si giunge ad una riflessione sulla risposta a tale crisi ossia sul Patto del 2020. Il contributo si concentra poi sulle principali innovazioni introdotte dal nuovo quadro normativo (Patto del 2024), tra cui procedure accelerate, solidarietà flessibile e rafforzamento dei controlli alle frontiere. Attraverso un confronto critico con il sistema precedente, si valutano l'efficacia e la sostenibilità delle misure proposte, evidenziando le criticità ancora presenti e le prospettive future per una gestione equa e solidale delle migrazioni nell'UE.EnThe focus of the article is the analysis of the EU's 2024 Pact on Migration and Asylum. Through a brief overview of the evolution of European migration policy, particularly since the 2015 crisis, the article reflects on the response to that crisis, namely the 2020 Pact. The paper then focuses on the main innovations introduced by the new regulatory framework (2024), including accelerated procedures, flexible solidarity, and strengthened border controls. Through a critical comparison with the previous system, the effectiveness and sustainability of the proposed measures are assessed, highlighting the remaining challenges and future prospects for fair and inclusive migration management within the EU
