Eticità e sostenibilità dello spazio urbano al tempo dell'urbanocene: giustizia intergenerazionale e nuove forme di governance = Ethics and sustainability of urban space in the age of the Urbanocene: Intergenerational justice and new forms of governance
In the contemporary context, smart cities are configured as an ever-evolving urban paradigm or, rather, as complex and evolving systems in which digital technologies, data analysis, and connected infrastructures are integrated to optimize the delivery of public services, reduce operational costs, and improve the quality of urban life. The smart approach, therefore, is not static: it adapts to continuous technological changes and emerging urban challenges, such as demographic growth, environmental sustainability, generational exchange, and new forms of governance. Numerous examples globally demonstrate that the adoption of smart city initiatives is still growing, confirming that the phenomenon has not exhausted its impact and represents one of the main directions of development of contemporary urban policies, supported by public and private investments and increasing academic and institutional attention. For this reason, it must be investigated in light of the evoked promise of sustainability and intergenerational justice
Per una fenomenologia dell'immaginazione. Una rilettura di Merleau-Ponty = For a phenomenology of imagination. A rereading of Merleau-Ponty
This work explores the role of the imaginary in shaping how the I orients itself in the world. Drawing on Merleau-Ponty, neuroscience (notably D.J. Siegel), and Lacanian psychology, it defines the imaginary as part of the Real-a woven structure of meaning and possibility. The I is formed within this space, returning to the world as both sensing and sensed, embodying a dynamic chiasm. The study frames life as presence and absence, rooted in a transcendent yet immanent alterity. The imaginary, likened to space-time curvature, expands the I's ontological creativity. Identity is no longer fixed, but emerges through choices, expressing a unique, ever-becoming self
Abitare la fitopolis: ontologia, ecologia e politica tra Stefano Mancuso, Miguel Benasayag e Michel Serres = Inhabiting the phytopolis: ontology, ecology and politics among Stefano Mancuso, Miguel Benasayag and Michel Serre
This essay explores Italian biologist Stefano Mancuso's proposal to reimagine urban systems as Fitopolis-an emblematic term that implies at least three transformative aspects. Fitopolis is, first and foremost, a city abundant in vegetation and biodiversity; it is structured around a sustainable urban organization; finally, it represents the operational recognition of the symbiotic relationships that indissolubly link social systems to natural ecosystems. To examine the political effects related to the metamorphosis of the subject within this urban paradigm shift, the essay engages with the thought of contemporary philosophers such as Miguel Benasayag and Michel Serres, whose epistemological and political reflections can provide a conceptual framework for understanding Fitopolis not merely as an ecological model, but as a radical reconfiguration of human and non-human cohabitation
Ridícula y malvada: La caracterización exasperada de la ideología de género en el blog de Padre Trevijano
Gender ideology represents a challenge for the Catholic Church, as it threatens not only the solidity of its moral principles but also its latent power in society. To defend itself against this threat, since the 1990s, religious sectors, in collaboration with neoconservatives, have been developing discourses aimed at delegitimising opponents by portraying them as malevolent and dangerous entities. Within this framework, the present article proposes a linguistic–discursive study of Father Trevijano’s blog, which is particularly interesting for the way the speaker manipulates opposing positions to ridicule them and/or exacerbate their supposed wickedness. The study is based on pragmatic linguistics (Fuentes Rodríguez 2017[2020]), critical discourse analysis (van Dijk 2006 and 2010) and argumentation theory (Anscombre and Ducrot 1994) with its grammar (Lo Cascio 1991 and 2009; Fuentes Rodríguez and Alcaide Lara 2002). From a theoretical standpoint, the analysis follows the work of Morán Faúndes (2023) on the dismissive construction of gender ideology and the characterisation of its supporters as “total enemies” in the original writings of neoconservatives and Catholics

Legum... omnes servi sumus ut liberi esse possimus: citazioni e 'non citazioni' umanistiche, liberali e 'neoromane' di una celebre massima ciceroniana
The paper traces three readings (respectively by Poggio Bracciolini, Friedrick August von Hayek and Maurizio Viroli) of the famous maxim of Cicero «Legum … omnes servi sumus ut liberi esse possimus» (Cic. Pro Cl. 53.146), highlighting the complex lines of influence that Cicero has had on modern political and legal thought
