A new hybrid of Salento (Southern Italy), Serapias xGussonei: Serapias xdemadesii (S. Bergonii x S. Lingua) x Serapias parviflora
During a periodic survey carried out in 2023 for the study of the orchidological component of the surrounding areas of Lecce, an entity belonging to the genus Serapias was found at the stagno di Acquatina (hamlet of Frigole in the municipality of Lecce, Province of Lecce), that has been identified as a new hybrid resulting from a cross between Serapias ×demadesii (hybrid between S. bergonii and S. lingua) and Serapias parviflora. The new hybrid was represented by a unique specimen in an environmental context represented by an atypical garrigue environment in a damp area, due to the presence of widespread small freshwater springs, with extensive outcrops of limestone rock and rich shrubby vegetation. The specimen showed characteristics of S. ×demadesii, mainly as regards the shape of the labellum and some other floral segments, with strong influence of S. bergonii and S. lingua; the special shape of the petals and other characters of taxonomic importance have made it possible to trace the second parent represented by S. parviflora. The presence of the new hybrid close to a small population of S. ×demadesii, the state of sympatry with this and with S. parviflora, as well as the overlap of their flowering periods favored the parental attribution; a detail that took on significant importance was represented by the bright yellow colour of the pollinodes, that in the new hybrid took on a dominant character due to the dual influence of S. lingua and S. parviflora, both characterized by bright yellow pollen masses. Finally, further correlation to S. parviflora derives from the state of the pollen grains which do not always appear well aggregated, resulting as a specific characteristic of S. parviflora. Overall, these clues take on great importance in this discovery which is the first case, to our knowledge, of a ternary hybrid in the genus. Serapias
Tra occultamento e trasparenza: l'antropocene in Kohei Saito e Byung Chul-Han = Between concealment and transparency: the anthropocene in Kohei Saito and Byung Chul-Han
The contribution analyzes the tension between concealment and transparency in the society of the Anthropocene through a comparison between Kohei Saito's ecosocialist thought and Byung-Chul Han's cultural critique. Drawing from different theoretical frameworks, the two authors converge in denouncing the contradictions of contemporary techno-capitalism: the concealment of material effects in the periphery (Saito) is positioned as the prerequisite for the spectacularized transparency of the center (Han). The article offers a complementary reading of the two approaches in order to outline new theoretical spaces for a critique of the Anthropocene oriented toward emancipatory ethical-political perspectives
La publicidad institucional del gobierno de España para el día internacional de la mujer. Estrategias comunicativas y construcción de valores inclusivos
This paper analyses some audiovisual advertisements promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Equality for International Women's Day with the aim of understanding the type of representation offered of women, the themes used and the aims pursued. The qualitative analysis will be carried out using a multidisciplinary approach, based on pragmalinguistic, multimodal and persuasive rhetoric analysis. After a brief explanation of what is meant by institutional advertising, the work will examine the audiovisual advertisements produced for this day between 2020 and 2024. The study will investigate what themes the current Ministry addresses to celebrate International Women's Day, how equality policies are communicated to citizens and through which communicative and discursive strategies. The general research question to be answered through the analysis is to what extent and through what kind of discourse the Spanish government uses the institutional publicity campaigns of 8M to present and construct a new sphere of social values about women that are accepted by society
El cuerpo de/en la escritura. Lengua, poder y resistencias en Las niñas del naranjel, de Gabriela Cabezón Cámara
Gabriela Cabezón Cámara’s writing presents an aesthetic proposal that highlights Latin American cultural heterogeneity. The Argentine author’s poetic may be included in the so-called “neobarroso”, in the genealogy of Néstor Perlongher, who in turn continues and transforms the baroque and neo-baroque tradition. In this work, based on theoretical categories from Michel Foucault, Judith Butler and Giorgio Agamben, I propose to deal with the latest novel by Cabezón Cámara, Las niñas del naranjel, to study the tensions with the hegemonic discourse, in relation to the discourse of confession, the construction of the other and the exercise of power, with respect to both the colonial past and the Latin American present and future
Gender Based Violence and LGBTQI+ Migrants: Assessing Visibility/Invisibility Tactics through the Italian Reception System
Persecutions and discrimination based on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics-diversity (SOGIESC-diversity) are recognized as reasons to claim asylum. Despite this, data on the impact of gender-based violence (GBV) on LGBTQIA+ migrants are limited, both from a quantitative and a qualitative point of view. This sustains an enduring invisibilization of LGBTQIA+ migrants, through migration paths and in reception centers. Using Collins' matrix of domination as a framework, this article provides a qualitative analysis of the experience of the project "MigrAzioni" organised by an Italian Association for the rights of LGBTQIA+ people in the South of Italy. A mixed method approach has been used, collecting both official documentation and the experience of SAI reception centers' operators, LGBTQIA+ right activists and migrants. The article highlights the articulation of visibility/invisibility in the LGBQTIA+ migrants' experience, underlining the different ways the latter is intersected by forms of GBV, institutional processes, cultural and social models, gender stereotypes, but also involving daily tactics enacted in liminal spaces between the subjects and the society
