    Get PDF
Traditional Finance theory presumed that equity market participants take decisions based on rationality. However, recent market incidents witnessed investor’s decision-making process is fueled with irrational behaviors like herding. Herd behavior is a dominated behavioral bias which depict investors take decisions based on imitating other investors’ behavior. Numerous studies can be identified in Herding based literacy in developed, emerging and frontier markets around the world. Thus, this study attempts to provide a review of theory and empirical evidence on market wide herding behavior in Asian region. As per the findings of the study, it can be observed that in India majority of studies have confirmed the non-existence of herding behavior. Half of the studies conducted in Pakistan confirm the existence of herding behavior while remainder confirm non-existence of herding behavior. Similar results were observed in Sri Lanka as well. However, majority of studies in Taiwan and Indonesia and all the studies of Vietnam have provided results for the existence of herding behavior. Thereby this study identifies several open issues for future research. Future studies that deal with time-series price data could employ empirical methodologies that allow for time-variation in parameter values. It is also important to know whether it is the same investors that herd over time, and why: are the reasons behind herding the same over time? Further qualitative research needs to be conducted to identify the reasons behind the investor herding behavior

The descriptive research design was used in the study. The researcher employed purposive sampling technique that was used in determining the respondents from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration elementary schools in Thailand. The research instrument that was used in gathering the data is a questionnaire distributed and retrieved thru Google Forms in the social media by the researcher. The data gathered were analyzed and interpreted using frequency counts, percentages, mean, and Spearman-rho correlation coefficient. Furthermore, the degree of manifestation of COVID-19 pandemic-related stress among BMA teachers is high. The findings of the investigation revealed that the level of influence of COVID-19 pandemic-related stress to the teaching performance among BMA teachers is average. Moreover, the findings revealed that the profile of BMA teachers in terms of civil status, number of seminars related to stress management, number of dependents and number of students handled were found to be significantly correlated with their degree of manifestation of COVID-19 pandemic - related stress.  Meanwhile, profile of respondents along age, sex, highest educational attainment, and monthly salary were all found to be not significantly correlated with their degree of manifestation of COVID-19 pandemic - related stress. Based on the findings, the following recommendations were presented. The BMA teachers in Thailand are encouraged to improve professional growth particularly in finishing graduate studies. In order to effectively manage COVID-19 related stress, both teachers and administrators must possess developed emotional skills like the ability to recognize emotions accurately, understand their causes and consequences, label them precisely by prioritizing the ones that are healthy, it can help to put mental wellness front and center

Gamebirds and cockfighting is a multi-billion industry in the Philippines and is a viable research area. This study explores the classification of gamebird images using color histogram intersection. The dataset of gamebird images were taken from Pangasinan Breeders’ Cup 2018 derby fights and are classified into dom, grey, red, and white classes. Color histograms were extracted from these images and experiments on the number of models and channels to be utilized were conducted, then the performance of the method was assessed. The results show that the classification of gamebird images using color histogram intersection performed best in the single model using all channels set-up with sensitivity of 89.75%, specificity of 96.58%, and accuracy of 94.88%

The study used a descriptive research design and a convenience sampling technique with a total of 100 survey participants from Senior Officials, Professors, Faculty, and Non-Faculty personnel. To collect responses, the researchers adapted a structured survey questionnaire used in this study and programmed it in Google Forms. Descriptive statistics such as frequency count, percentage, and weighted mean were used to analyze the extracted data. The spearman rho was used for data inferential analysis. Findings show that employees\u27 level of awareness to the function of ISO 9001:2015 are Fully Aware and Aware, particularly in terms of "ISO support of quality mission, vision, and objectives," with a weighted mean of 4.25 it demonstrates that LSPU employees are fully aware that ISO supports the university\u27s quality mission, vision, and objectives. Employees, on the other hand, “Disagree” with the various listed challenges in the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015. Furthermore, relationship between the profile of the respondents to the level of awareness and challenges in the implementation of ISO 9001: 2015 in LSPU resulted to “no significant relationship”. Researchers conclude that while LSPU employees are generally aware of the key tasks of the university\u27s quality management system, they disagree on the challenges of its implementation.
