A new image encryption and decryption approach based on chaotic analog signal generator
In the last one and half decade, chaos has occurred as a new favorable candidate for network security because many chaos important features such as very much sensitivity to initial conditions and ergodicity, are directly related with two basic properties of cipher texts: confusion and diffusion. In this paper a new image encryption and decryption method is proposed which is based on the chaotic signal generator and 2D baker maps. A 144 bit external secrete key acts as the input of the chaotic signal generator. Baker maps used for the confusion of the main input image after that XOR operation used in diffusion process. The proposed method is simulated using Matlab and the results are secure with all type of cryptanalytic tests and statistical analysis tests
Open, Flexible and Distributed e-Learning Environments
What generate an effective e-learning environment to course writers may differ to a developer but the major consideration is to the prospects because they are the receiver. An e-learning system is meaningful to learners when it is easily accessible,well-designed, learnercentred, affordable and efficient; flexible and has a facilitated learning environment. When learners display a high level of participation, involvement and tremendous output in meeting a course’sgoals and objectives, this can makee-learningmeaningful to instructors. Therefore, when learners enjoy all availablesupportservices provided in the course without any interruptions, it makes supportservices staff happyas they strive to provide easy-to-use, reliable and accessible services. This paper examines components and features that can make e-learning as competitive as face-to-face learning whereby students derive equal benefits as when undergoing face-to-face learning.
Neural Network Models: A Basic Statistical Tool for Data analysis and Forecasting
Neural network model is a model of brain’s cognitive process. Neural network originated as a model of how the brain works and has its beginnings in psychology. Today, neural network models are used to solve numerous problems associated with forecasting, pattern recognition, classification, manufacturing, medical diagnostic, signal processing, system control, checking, and modelling among others. This paper reveals the processes involved in using a neural network model in forecasting future events by effectively and efficiently utilizing extracted rules from trained neural networks and domain knowledge of the applied area. The structural method of operations and rules of extraction of neural networks were also discussed.
Wireless Heterogeneous Network
Heterogeneous network environment can be viewed as connecting computers and network devices such as switches, repeaters and routers with different protocols and different operating systems which varies in type, size, and topology; differences and how these networks can relate or interact with each other. Heterogeneous networks (HetNets) are an attractive means of expanding or increasing mobile network capacity thereby eradicating the problems to communicate between other networks when switching from one access technology to another. A heterogeneous network is typically composed of multiple radio access technologies, architectures, transmission solutions, and base stations of varying transmission power. Heterogeneous network integrate many up to date wireless technologies together to provide multimedia services by session initiation protocol (SIP) – based Internet protocol (IP) multimedia subsystems via mobile multiple mode devices
Strategies for Improving Quality of Education in Nigeria through the Use of Community Informatics Social E-Learning Network
Over the last few decades, the quality of education in Nigeria has declined leading to unacceptable low academic performance, high level of functional illiteracy, growing population of unemployable graduates. This paper presents Community Informatics Social E-learning Network (CISEN) strategies that use community-based approach to identify and address the challenges facing education in the various communities across Nigeria. The CISEN uses an online GeoHubNet Community Structure (GCS) to organize the geo-communities in the various states of Nigeria. The CISEN strategies focus on bringing together the stakeholders in each local community to create awareness, identify issues pertaining to education, develop appropriate educational program that will address the issues raised and improve the quality of education in the local communities. Furthermore, the CISEN provides a framework for evaluation of the academic performance of the pupils and students on a continuous basis. CISEN also has mechanism for impact assessment of the CISEN strategies on the quality of education in those local communities it supports.
Skin Tone Based Secret Data Hiding in Images Using Wavelet Transform
Biometric feature accustomed implement steganography is skin tone region of pictures. Here secret information is embedded inside skin region of image that may offer a wonderful secure location for information activity. For this skin tone detection is performed exploitation HSV (Hue, Saturation and Value) colour area to boot secret information embedding is performed exploitation frequency domain approach – DWT (Discrete rippling Transform), DWT outperforms than DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform). Secret data is hidden in one in all the high frequency sub-band of DWT by tracing skin pixels therein sub-band. Four bit secret key and cropping results into associate degree increased security than activity information without cropping i.e. in whole image therefore cropped region works as a key at secret writing aspect. This study shows that by adopting an object orienting steganography mechanism, in the sense that, we have a tendency to track skin tone objects in image, we get a higher security
The Hadoop Distributed File System
The Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) is designed to store very large data sets reliably, and to stream those data sets at high bandwidth to user applications. In a large cluster, thousands of servers both host directly attached storage and execute user application tasks. By distributing storage and computation across many servers, the resource can grow with demand while remaining economical at every size. We describe the architecture of HDFS and report on experience using HDFS to manage 25 petabytes of enterprise data at Yahoo.
Model-based Information Retrieval System
Information retrieval System (IRS) is often defined as the location and delivery of documents to a user to satisfy their information needs. IR is the area of study concerned with searching for documents, for information within documents, and for metadata about documents, as well as that of searching structured storage, relational databases, and the worldwide web. There is an overlap in the usage of the terms data retrieval, document retrieval, information retrieval, and text retrieval. IR is interdisciplinary; based on computer science, mathematics, library science, information science, information architecture, cognitive psychology, linguistics, statistics and law. Automated information retrieval systems are used to reduce what has been called information overload. Many universities and public libraries use IR system to provide access to books, journals and other documents. Web search engines are the most visible IR applications. This article is the design and implementation of information retrieval system that deals with this aspect of the institution’s administration by providing an easy to use computerized application to assist in retrieving information

The third part defines the results of the statistics analysis populations in the Subareas, specify the relation between water resources and the elevations of subareas, the data of the layers of roads, railroads existing in Saudi Arabia specially in the eastern area where most petroleum s wells are found. Using Google earth to show the elevation of the subareas and the relation with the water resources. Three groups of GIS forms was produced they are the geodatabase of the Saudi Arabia (area, subareas and main cities) ,water resources layers (water in land , water area and land cover ) , roads, railroads and elevations layers. The main contribution in the paper, discussed the infrastructure and the results of the statistics analysis populations in the subareas, specify the relation between water resources and the elevations of subareas of the data layers of roads, railroads existing in Saudi Arabia, especially in the eastern area where most petroleum\u27s wells are found production and exploration of petroleum including the geodatabase of wells of petroleum distributed in Saudi Arabia finding the locations using Google earth map, satellites to locate the areas of producing petroleum.
A Meta Search Engine Approach for Organizing Web Search Results using Ranking and Clustering
The web is expanding with each passing day along with technological advancement in search engine. This results in a long list of links to be retrieved for any user query. However it is not possible to verify each link of this returned list. Even the use of page ranking algorithms in searching does not provide the desired results. To address the solution to this problem a new meta search engine is introduced that uses the similarity measurement function to determine the relevancy of web page with the given query and document clustering technique to group the results into different clusters.
