Nalley becomes first to attend Liverpool Summer School

Nalley recently attended the University of Liverpool School of Law and Social Justice’s Summer School on Law of the Council of Europe thanks to support from UGA Law. This year’s theme was “Council of Europe at 75: Protecting Human Rights, Democracy, and the Rule of Law in A Rapidly Changing World.” Notably, she is the first UGA Law student to participate in the program.

Troup County pop-up legal clinic aids more than 40 locals
No full textFor the second consecutive year, the University of Georgia School of Law participated in a legal pop-up clinic in Troup County that offered free civil legal advice and referrals to residents. Veterans Legal Clinic Director Alexander W. “Alex” Scherr, third-year student Cameron F. Goodman and second-year student Supreme Unukegwo – both with the Public Interest Practicum – participated in the late-October event.
This year’s clinic – co-hosted by the School of Law, Troup County courts and the Georgia Legal Services Program – assisted more than 40 individuals seeking consultation, twice the number served at the 2023 clinic.
The law school’s participation in the Troup County clinic was supported by a Callaway Foundation grant.
