    Analisis Kemampuan Life Skills dan Literasi Lingkungan Berorientasi ESD Pada Siswa Sekolah Dasar

    This study is to identify the categories of life skills and environmental literacy abilities of fifth grade students of Mangkang Kulon 02 Elementary School, Semarang. This study is included in the type of development research, namely Research and Development (R&D) which refers to the ADDIE model. Data collection through google form, by providing a number of questions that include indicators of life skills abilities (WHO, 1997) and indicators of environmental literacy abilities (McBeth & Volk, 2009). The results of data analysis obtained the highest average percentage of students' life skills abilities in the personal skill indicator with a percentage of 43% in the sufficient category, while the lowest indicator in social skills was 28% in the weak category. In students' environmental literacy abilities, the highest percentage was 50% in the moderate category in the attitude indicator, while the lowest percentage was 32% in the low category in the behavior indicator. Based on the results of research and development, it is concluded that ESD-oriented learning devices are suitable for use in elementary school grade V science learning because they meet the criteria of validity, practicality and effectiveness. So that it can improve students' life skills and environmental literacy.Pembelajaran IPA dan IPS akan diberikan secara bersamaan dengan nama mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS). Dalam pembelajaran IPAS, diharapkan siswa mengalami perubahan sikap yang positif dan nantinya mampu memberikan dampak positif bagi lingkungan. Sikap peduli lingkungan juga sangat dibutuhkan oleh generasi milenial, agar memiliki kesadaran akan pelestarian sumber daya alam yang ada. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kategori kemampuan life skills dan literasi lingkungan siswa kelas V SD Negeri Mangkang Kulon 02 Semarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Pengambilan data menggunakan angket/ tes melalui google form, dengan memberikan sejumlah soal – soal yang mencakup komponen-komponen kemampuan life skills dan literasi lingkungan. Hasil analisis data diperoleh persentase rata-rata kemampuan life skills siswa sebesar 35 % dalam katergori lemah. Sedangkan, persentase rata-rata kemampuan literasi lingkungan siswa sebesar 40 % dalam kategori rendah

    Evaluation of General Bioactive Phytochemicals, Antioxidant Activity, and Organoleptic Properties of Ficus racemosa L. as Herbal Tea

    Ficus rasemosa L. (FR), commonly known as a fig tree in Asia, is traditionally consumed in Lombok and recognized for its medicinal due to its phenolic compounds, as general bioactive compounds FR contain, have benefits such as being antidiabetic properties. Despite its ethnobotanical significance, limited studies have explored the development of FR fruits as a functional herbal tea, particularly concerning processing variables such as drying temperatures. This study evaluated the effects of three drying temperatures—50 oC (T1), 60 oC (T2), and 70 oC (T3)—on the total flavonoid content (TFC), total phenolic content (TPC), antioxidant activity (DPPH free radical scavenging assay), and organoleptic properties of FR herbal tea. The TFC, TPC, and DPPH assay were quantified using UV-VIS spectrophotometry. The highest TFC (1.96 g QE/g) and TPC (0.36 g GAE/g) were observed at 50 oC, while the strongest antioxidant activity with the lowest IC50 of 192.27 ppm occurred at 60 oC. Sensory evaluation showed the teas dried at 60 and 70oC were more acceptable, particularly in terms of color and overall preference. These results suggest that drying at 60 oC offers an optimal balance between phytochemical, antioxidant activity, and sensory quality, highlighting the potential of RF fruit as functional herbal tea

    Peran Ekologis Serangga Terbang Diurnal untuk Pertanian dan Potensinya untuk Kolaborasi Pendidikan Biologi

    The quality of agriculture is affected by insects in agricultural areas. Both insects that have a negative impact such as pests, positive such as predators against pests, and those that are neutral or have no effect on agriculture, but can be an indicator of the ecosystem. Control of plant pest organisms (PPO) is often done by spraying pesticides, but also results in a decrease in the population of insect predators of pests. The diversity of flying insects in Haturak farm, Kupang Village, Tapin Regency has not been documented. This study aims to identify the types of flying insects on Haturak farm and analyze their ecological role. The research method used was a descriptive and observational approach. Data were collected through total roaming and direct documentation using macro photography in the insects’ natural habitat. Analysis was done descriptively and reinforced with literature studies. The results of the study found 18 species of flying insects from six orders. Eight species played a positive role, while ten species had a negative impact on agriculture. Among them, two species played both positive and negative roles, and two others had a neutral role. This condition is less favorable for agriculture because there are fewer predatory insect species than pests. For the sake of biological pest control, enriching pest predator species is recommended to reduce land damage due to high or frequent chemical use. Further studies on diversity and abundance indices are recommended to understand the territorial dominance of each species, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of biological control. Collaboration between Biology Education and farmers through ecological education builds synergy between science and sustainable farming. The five initiatives enhance ecological literacy and apply local wisdom. To maximize impact, it is recommended to integrate these programs into regular academic and community service activities, ensuring long-term engagement and measurable outcomes.Kualitas pertanian dipengaruhi oleh serangga yang ada di area pertanian. Baik serangga yang berdampak negatif seperti hama, positif seperti predator terhadap hama, maupun yang bersifat netral atau tidak berpengaruh terhadap pertanian, namun dapat menjadi indikator ekosistem. Pengendalian organisme pengganggu tanaman (OPT) yang sering dilakukan dengan penyemprotan pestisida, namun juga berakibat pada penurunan populasi serangga predator hama. Keanekaragaman serangga terbang di kebun Haturak, Desa Kupang, Kabupaten Tapin belum terdokumentasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis serangga terbang di kebun Haturak dan menganalisis peran ekologisnya. Pengumpulan jenis serangga dilakukan dengan metode jelajah total dan didokumentasikan langsung di habitatnya. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dan diperkuat dengan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menemukan 18 spesies serangga terbang dari enam ordo. Spesies yang berperan positif (8) lebih sedikit dibandingkan dengan yang berperan negatif (10) terhadap pertanian, namun di antaranya terdapat spesies yang berperan positif dan negatif (2), selebihnya berperan netral (2). Kondisi ini kurang menguntungkan bagi pertanian karena jumlah spesies serangga predator lebih sedikit dibandingkan hama. Untuk kepentingan pengendalian hama secara biologis, pengayaan spesies predator hama direkomendasikan untuk mengurangi kerusakan lahan akibat penggunaan bahan kimia yang tinggi atau sering. Penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai indeks keanekaragaman dan kelimpahan juga direkomendasikan untuk menunjukkan kontrol teritorial dari setiap spesies serangga terbang, serta penelitian mengenai efektivitas pengendalian hama secara hayati. Kolaborasi antara Pendidikan Biologi dan petani melalui pendidikan ekologi membangun sinergi antara ilmu pengetahuan dan pertanian berkelanjutan. Kelima inisiatif tersebut meningkatkan literasi ekologi dan menerapkan kearifan lokal. Untuk memaksimalkan dampak, disarankan untuk mengintegrasikan program-program ini ke dalam kegiatan akademik dan pengabdian masyarakat secara teratur, memastikan keterlibatan jangka panjang dan hasil yang terukur

    The Effect of Organic Fertilisers on Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Diversity in the Rizhosphere of Coffea arabica Plants on the Napu Highland, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia

    Coffea arabica plantations in Central Sulawesi are carried out on the Napu highland, where this area is dominated by ultisol or yellow red podzolic soils, which have problems of high soil acidity and low availability of macro nutrients. This study used a completely randomised design method consisting of four treatments namely; without organic fertilisers (control)/P0, Leucaena leucocephala leaf compost 3 Kg/tree (P1), Samanea saman leaf compost 3 Kg/tree (P2), Tithonia diversifolia leaf compost 3 Kg/tree (P3), Cow and goat manuire 3kg/tree (P4). The results showed that there were 10 species of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) associated with Coffea arabica plants namely Glomus sp1, Glomus sp2, Glomus sp3, Glomus sp4, Acaulospora sp1, Acaulospora sp2, Acaulospora sp3, Gigaspora sp1, Gigaspora sp2 and Gigaspora sp3. Furthermore, the higher density of FMA spores was found in the treatment without organic fertiliser application/control (P0) which was 31 spores/10 g soil, compared to the treatment of Tithonia diversifolia leaf compost treatment (P3) with 11 spores/10 g soil, cow and goat manure treatment (P4) with 3 spores/10 g soil, and Samanea saman leaf compost treatment (P2) with 2 spores/10 g soil.  And in the Leucaena leucocephala leaf compost treatment (P1), no AMF spores were found. The difference in AMF spore density in the various organic fertiliser treatments mentioned above is related to the effect of improving soil chemical properties on the soil. The results of this study contribute to the understanding of the importance of soil amendments with organic fertilisers for the improvement of organic and sustainable arabica coffee production in the future

    Flood Prone Area Analysis in the Wonosari Sub Watershed, Bondowoso Regency, East Java

    Bondowoso Regency is known as a region highly susceptible to flood disasters. Factors contributing to the increased flood risk include the hydrological and topographical conditions present in the study area. Therefore, it is essential to identify and map areas that are vulnerable to flooding. Flood vulnerability is influenced by several parameters, including rainfall, soil type, land use, slope gradient, surface runoff, and elevation. The data used in this study were obtained from UPT PSDA WS Sampean, covering the period from 2013 to 2023. These parameters were processed using a weighting and scoring method. The assignment of scores and weights was based on the influence of each parameter on flood vulnerability, with each parameter assigned an equal value ranging from 1 to 5. An overlay analysis was then performed to generate a flood vulnerability map. The resulting vulnerability levels were classified into five categories: very low, low, moderate, high, and very high. The results show that the majority of flood-prone areas fall within the "high" vulnerability category, covering approximately 250.18 km² or about 41% of the total area of the Wonosari Sub-watershed. This finding can be validated by historical events in 2023, during which several flash floods were recorded.Kabupaten Bondowoso dikenal sebagai wilayah yang sangat rentan terhadap bencana banjir. Banjir umumnya terjadi akibat akumulasi air di suatu area dalam jangka waktu tertentu. Salah satu faktor yang berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan risiko banjir adalah deforestasi, yang seringkali didorong oleh aktivitas masyarakat setempat di sekitar wilayah terdampak. Untuk mendukung upaya pengelolaan risiko banjir, sangat penting untuk mengidentifikasi dan memetakan daerah-daerah yang rawan banjir, khususnya di Sub DAS Wonosari, Kabupaten Bondowoso. Tingkat kerentanan banjir di suatu wilayah dipengaruhi oleh beberapa parameter, antara lain intensitas curah hujan, jenis tanah, tutupan lahan, kemiringan lereng, limpasan permukaan, dan elevasi. Parameter-parameter ini diolah menggunakan metode pembobotan dan penilaian, yang kemudian diintegrasikan melalui analisis overlay untuk menghasilkan peta kerentanan banjir. Tingkat kerentanan yang dihasilkan diklasifikasikan ke dalam lima kategori, yaitu sangat rendah, rendah, sedang, tinggi, dan sangat tinggi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar wilayah rawan banjir termasuk dalam kelas kerentanan “tinggi,” yang mencakup sekitar 245 km² atau sekitar 39% dari total wilayah Sub DAS Wonosari

    Application of Fermented Feed Technology to Improve Beef Cattle Business Efficiency and Student Agribusiness Learning

    Feed costs in beef cattle farming can reach more than 60-70% of total production costs. Therefore, feed technology innovation is crucial to improve the efficiency and sustainability of livestock businesses. The objective of this study was to determine the level of adoption of fermented feed technology and how this impacts the efficiency of beef cattle farming.  The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive method. The method of determining the research area using purposive method, so that Bontonompo Subdistrict, Gowa Regency was chosen. The method of determining the sample using purposive method, with a total sample of 40 farmers as respondents. Data collection methods used were observation, interview, and questionnaire.  The results showed that the level of adoption of fermented feed technology was in the medium to high category. The use of this technology is proven to improve business efficiency, with better livestock yields and lower feed costs. The results show that the adoption of fermented feed technology has a positive and significant effect on beef cattle business efficiency. Fermented feed technology can be an alternative option to increase the productivity of beef cattle farms. This study contributes significantly to improving business efficiency in beef cattle farming through cost-effective feed strategies, while also serving as a practical learning model that enhances the entrepreneurial competence of animal husbandry students. The integration of fermented feed technology into the curriculum supports experiential learning, preparing students to apply sustainable agribusiness innovations in real-world livestock industries

    Local Wisdom Gaming for Understanding and Interesting (Lossing Saddler) in Learning Magnet in Lentera Elementary School

    This study was motivated by students' low understanding of IPAS (Natural and Social Sciences) material and difficulties during group discussions. Most students only enjoyed the practical activities and felt burdened by the notes that had to be memorised. Based on interviews with 50 students, it was found that confusion and the burden of memorisation were the main obstacles. To overcome this, the researcher developed the ‘LOSSING SADDLER’ (Local wisdom gaming for understanding and interesting learning combine with guessing word) method to improve the understanding of magnetic concepts and interest in learning IPAS in Phase C students. The research subjects included Grade V students of SD Kristen Lentera Ambarawa as the experimental class and students from six learning community primary schools in Semarang Regency as the comparison. Data were collected through unstructured interviews, documentation, tests and observations, and analysed descriptively quantitatively. This study aims to determine the effect of the ‘LOSSING SADDLER’ method on the understanding of magnetic material and the increase in student learning motivation. The expected results show that this method is able to increase students' understanding and interest in IPAS learning through a fun and meaningful approach

    Local Wisdom-Based Science and Environmental Education Management: Perspectives from the Bunggu Indigenous Community

    Strengthening science and environmental education through local wisdom is a strategic approach to creating contextual, relevant, and sustainable learning, particularly within indigenous communities. This study aims to explore how the Bunggu Indigenous Community in Pasangkayu, Indonesia, integrates local wisdom values into the management of science and environmental education. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis involving traditional leaders, educators, and educational stakeholders. The findings reveal that scientific concepts such as ecology, environmental conservation, natural resource management, and traditional technology are taught through culturally inherited practices. The community's education management combines local wisdom with formal curricula, resulting in adaptive and contextual strategies for science and environmental learning. These findings emphasize that integrating local wisdom into science and environmental education not only enriches the learning process but also strengthens ecological awareness, cultural identity, and community participation in environmental preservation. This study contributes to the development of an education management model that is more responsive to local cultural contexts and highlights the need for educational policies that support local wisdom-based learning

    THE EFFECTIVENESS OF LEARNING USING COMIC MEDIA IN REDUCING BULLYING IN CLASS V ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

    Weak character education causes deviant behavior such as bullying behavior that often occurs in the school environment. Bullying behavior is one example of deviant and dangerous behavior characterized by the intention to hurt, power imbalance, mocking parents' names, making fun of physical conditions. Students do not fully understand the dangers of bullying behavior for mental health so that learning is needed using media in the form of comics. The objectives of this study are: to analyze bullying behavior experienced by students in the experimental group before and after implementing learning with comic media; to analyze the differences in bullying behavior experienced by students in the control group before and after implementing learning without comic media; to analyze the effectiveness of implementing learning using comic media between the experimental group and the control group without using comic media. The study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design method. The population was 45 fifth grade students of SD Negeri Gugus 1 Kec. Siulak Mukai. The sampling technique was cluster random sampling totaling 30 students. The research instrument used a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using parametric statistics, namely Paired T-Test (T-Test) and Independent Sample T-Test. The results of the study showed: there was a significant difference before and after learning using comic media was given to the experimental group; There was no difference before and after learning without using comic media was given to the control group; there was a significant difference in the effectiveness of learning using comic media in the experimental group with the control group learning without using comic media. Therefore, learning using comic media is effective in reducing student bullying behavior.Lemahnya pendidikan karakter menimbulkan perilaku menyimpang seperti perilaku bullying yang kerap kali terjadi dilingkungan sekolah. Perilaku bullying merupakan salah satu contoh dari perbuatan menyimpang dan membahayakan yang ditandai dengan adanya niat untuk menyakiti, power imbalance, mengejek nama orang tua, mengolokkan kondisi fisik. Peserta didik belum sepenuhnya memahami akan bahaya perilaku bullying bagi kesehatan mental sehingga perlu adanya pembelajaran dengan memanfaatkan media berupa komik. Tujuan penelitian ini berupa: (1) menganalisis perilaku bullying yang di alami peserta didik kelompok eksperimen sebelum dan setelah menerapkan pembelajaran dengan media komik; (2) menganalisis perbedaan perilaku bullying yang dialami peserta didik kelompok control sebelum dan setelah menerapkan pembelajaran tanpa media komik; (3) menganalisis efektivitas penerapan pembelajaran menggunakan media komik antara kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok control tanpa menggunakan media komik. Penelitian menggunakan metoda quasi eksperiment pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi berjumlah 45 orang siswa kelas V SD Negeri Gugus 1 Kec. Siulak Mukai. Teknik pengambilan sampel cluster random sampling yang berjumlah 30 orang siswa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan skala likert. Data di analisis dengan statistic parametrik yaitu Uji-T berpasangan(T-Test) dan Uji Independen sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebelum dan setelah diberikan pembelajaran menggunakan media komik terhadap kelompok eksperimen; (2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan sebelum dan setelah diberikan pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan media komik terhadap kelompok kontrol; (3) terdapat perbedaan efektivitas yang signifikan pembelajaran menggunakan media komik kelompok eksperimen dengan kelompok kontrol pembelajaran tanpa menggunakan media komik.     Agroforestry Practices and Community Resilience to The Impact of Climate Change in Sesaot Forest Area, Lombok, Indonesia

    Climate change affects agroforestry production and community resilience in forest areas. This study aims to: (1) identify vulnerabilities of forest products to climate change; (2) analyze community adaptation strategies; and (3) assess resilience levels of forest-adjacent communities. The research applied descriptive methods via field observations, interviews, and focus group discussions. From 74 residents, random sampling was used (Slovin method, 10% margin of error). Variables included economic, psychological, and social-institutional aspects. Resilience was assessed using a scoring system integrating Reivich & Shatté’s theory and a Likert scale, categorized into five levels: very high to very low. Results show that key vulnerabilities in the Sesaot forest area include harvest failures of major crops (e.g., durian, mangosteen, avocado, rambutan, cacao, coffee), with losses reaching 60–80%. Communities adapted through stratified agroforestry systems and strengthening local institutions. Resilience levels were high overall—economically moderate, but socially and psychologically strong. The study recommends improving economic resilience by reducing crop failure risks, including through the establishment of plant health clinicsPerubahan iklim memengaruhi produksi agroforestri dan tingkat resiliensi masyarakat di kawasan hutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi kerentanan hasil hutan terhadap perubahan iklim; (2) menganalisis strategi adaptasi masyarakat; dan (3) menilai tingkat resiliensi masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar hutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD). Dari 74 penduduk, pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak menggunakan metode Slovin dengan margin of error 10%. Variabel yang diteliti mencakup aspek ekonomi, psikologis, dan kelembagaan sosial. Tingkat resiliensi dianalisis menggunakan sistem penilaian yang mengintegrasikan teori Reivich & Shatté serta skala Likert, dengan kategori lima tingkat: sangat tinggi hingga sangat rendah. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kerentanan utama di kawasan hutan Sesaot adalah kegagalan panen komoditas unggulan (seperti durian, manggis, alpukat, rambutan, kakao, dan kopi), dengan tingkat kegagalan mencapai 60–80%. Masyarakat beradaptasi melalui sistem agroforestri berstrata dan penguatan kelembagaan lokal. Secara keseluruhan, tingkat resiliensi tergolong tinggi—secara ekonomi berada pada tingkat sedang, namun secara sosial dan psikologis tergolong kuat. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan resiliensi ekonomi dengan mengurangi risiko gagal panen, termasuk melalui pembentukan klinik kesehatan tanaman
