SNAP was dedicated to covering important news about the civil rights movement, police brutality, segregation, and other racially-motivated crimes. The publication also highlighted many sororities and churches each week, with updates on the social life within the community. The publication gave an insightful view into life in the 1950s and ‘60s, as well as into the ‘80s and mid-2000s.
