Oral History with Rose Arenas (Army 2001) originally from Del Rio, Texas. She is from a Mexican family background and she joined the Army and studied at UTSA. Her brother and sister also served in different branches, so she comes from a strong military background. She was a part of Operation Enduring Freedom in July of 2003 which would mark the beginning of a 13 year conflict with Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Afghanistan (Oct 7, 2001 - Dec 13, 2014).
