Get PDFAbstract Poetry is the oldest literary form. It emerges with the presence of man. The study of poetry focused on the physical structure and inner structures of poetry. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. Stylistic analysis approach: (1) systematic analysis of linguistic system of literary works, and continued to the interpretation of literary characteristics, interpretation directed to the total meaning; (2) studying a number of distinctive features that distinguish one system from another. The poem "Tuhan"Aku Cinta Padamu” sounds / a / who dominates, the atmosphere of longing, emotion, surrender, willingness and peace. Repetition of rhymes in words in poems, visual images, movements, feelings, metaphors, and repositories. The theme of God, the mandate for self-introspection in order to improve themselves for reaching the God’s willing.Keywords: literary, poetry, stylisti
Peningkatan Kemampuan Berbicara Mahasiswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Debat
Get PDFAbstractThis study aims to know students’ speaking ability through debate learning model. This study used classroom action research by using one class as a sample that consists of 30 students. The data were obtained based on the observation in each learning cycles. The result shows that debate can improve students’ ability with the significant increasing of average score in every cycle. The average score in the cycle I am 61.7 and in the cycle 2 is 70.8.Key Words: Speaking ability, debate, and motivation.
KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PEMAHAMAN DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE SURVEY, QUESTION, READ, RECITE, DAN REVIEW (SQ3R)
Get PDFThis study aims to know students’ reading comprehension using SQ3R Method for the third semester students of Indonesia Language and literature education major of STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu Lampung. The research sample was 40 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used triangulation tehcnique ( observation, interview, and documentation), and test technique. Validity test data used triangulation technique by checking the data in the same resource. In analysing the data, the researcher employed data triangulation (reducing the data, dicplaying the data, and verifying). The research procedure was implemented in four steps: plan, action, reflection,and evaluation. This study was done in two cycles. The result shows that SQ3R method can improve students’ reading comprehension. In the first cycle, 16 students or 40% students were not pass in reading comprehension. Then students’reading comprehension was improved 100% in the second cycle

Get PDFThe learning model which is applied by the teacher, so far, was assumed uneffective in increasing students’ learning achievement, especially, on the subject of counting wide trapezium and kite. One of effort to overcome this problem was using mind mapping learning model with teaching media. This learning model asked the students to make or create their own two dimentional figure. the objective of the research was to know the effectivity of mind mapping learning model using teaching media on the students of fifth grade SD Negeri 4 Watuagung. The population of the research was all of the students at fifth grade SD Negeri 4 Watuagung at the first semester in the academic year of 2015-2016. The number of the students were 30 students.Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that mind mapping learning model using teaching media was able to make the learning process be more effective and the students learning achievement which is involved the prosentage of teacher’s ability in the learning process 77.06%, students’ activity 78.81%, students’ response 76.25%, and if it was seen from students’ achievement based on KKM 80.00%
IMPROVING STUDENTS’ WRITING ABILITY THROUGH STORYBOARD
Get PDFThis study is a classroom action research which intended to improve students’ writing ability through Storyboard. The participants were the fourth semester students of English Department of STKIP Muhammadiyah Pringsewu in academic year 2014/ 2015. The instruments used in collecting data were observation, questionnaire, and documents. Observation is used to know what is really happening in the class and the condition when the class activity is taking place. Questionnaire is used to know the students’ perception towards Storyboard in improving their writing ability, and documents is used to get students’ written texts. Then, 1) assembling the data, 2) coding the data, 3) comparing the data, 4) building meanings and interpretations, and 5) reporting the outcomes, are the steps in analyzing the data. Having analyzed the data, it was found that there was improvement of the students’ activeness in writing activity and in writing ability
THE EFFECT OF A COOPERATIVE SCRIPT IN ENHANCING THE STUDENTS’ NARRATIVE WRITING
Get PDFAbstract The objective of this study is to find out and analyze empirically the effectsofcooperative script in enhancing the narrative writing of students The study used experimental method with a control and experimental group. The study of population was 80 students ‘electrical Engineering in the second semester at Muhammadiyah Lampung University 2016/2017. The subjects of the study were taken from the seven sections randomly elected by the fishbowl technique. The data collection method used pretest and posttest while data analysis used t-tests in SPSS 16.0 The study of results showed that the mean scores in the pre-test and post-test in both control and experimental groups significantly varied. First, the treatment or the cooperativescript significantly increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative text writing, from good to very good. Second, a significant difference existed in the post-test mean scores of the control and experimental groups. The treatment increased the performance of the second semester students in narrative writing. No full textOne of the mathematics material that elementary school teaches is multiplication. One of the problems in the Kunci village is that there are still many elementary school students who do not understand or can’t memorize multiplication, while in school it is not possible to always multiply because of time and curriculum issues, so additional learning guidance using card game is needed. The result of community service activities is the ability of children in multiplication to increase. As many as 35 of the 40 children or 81,4% children get a score above the average in multiplication tests.Keywords: Card game, multiplicatio

Get PDFAbstract: The language arising from interaction between individuals gives a meaning that the relationship of language and culture has its own influence for the habit of thinking and behaving individually. This is because language is a means of expressing the mind so that it reflects the individual's self-image of the behavior he is showing. Language is a means of thinking and communication for the individual, so communication skills can be defined as language skills. In the context of education, language is the medium of instruction, while in the realm of guidance and counseling, language is a reflection of the counselee's mind by reflecting from his world view, so that by understanding the language, the counselor will understand the counselee's perspective. Language is closely tied to individual feelings and activities or behaviors. In the context of guidance and counseling, the language used by counselors can be a weapon and should be used wisely. The language should be cohesive, coherent, accurate, and meaningful in the process of guidance and counseling services to enable effective communication between counselors and counselors. The direction of research that will be done more emphasis on the topic of language use by the counselor and the language response of the counselee as an effort to examine more in the use of language appropriate to the educational situation.Keywords: Language, Communication, Education, Guidance and Counselin
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INKUIRI DISERTAI MEDIA POWER POINT PADA MATERI POKOK STATISTIK
Get PDFAbstract : The objectives of the study were to find out the mean differences of the students' learning outcomes of the experimental class and the control class, and to find out which of the higher mathematics learning outcomes of the students in the experimental class and control class. The research population of the students of class VIII odd semester of SMP N 1 Kalirejo in the academic year 2015-2016. The sample of this research is taken by cluster random sampling technique. Learning results obtained through tests with 5 items about the essay. Data analysis was done by normality test, homogeneity test. The samples are normally distributed and homogeneous, followed by t-test. From the result of data analysis, it is obtained the average of learning result of math student of experimental class 77,52 and control class 70,64. Conclusion There is difference of mean of result of learning of student mathematics in experiment class and control class. And the average result of the students' learning of math experiment class is bigger than the average of mathematics learning result of the control class student. As the result of imbalance between Akidah, Shari'ah and morals, many of students violating the rules, norms and ethics both in society and religion. This study aimed to examine the verses of Al-Qur'an relating to the mathematical set and illustrated with Venn diagrams. The way to analyze is to describe the verses of the Qur'an relating to the set of values of Akidah, Shari'ah and morals. The results of this research were in the form description of the value of akidah with verses of Al-Qur’an Al-An'am verse 128, Al-Waqi'ah verses 7-14, the Al-Fatihah verse 7, Taha verse 6.
