    Hospital Administration as Factors Associated with Patient Satisfaction: A Meta-Analysis

    Background: Maintaining hospital quality is the most important thing to consider in hospital service indicators. Patient satisfaction is one of the important factors in maintaining hospital quality. This study aimed to analyzed the associated between hospital administration with patient satisfaction.Subjects and Method: This study is a meta-analysis with PICO, population: patients. Intervention: good hospital administration. Comparison: poor hospital administration. Outcome: patients’ satisfaction. The articles used in this study were obtained from three databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct. Keywords to search for articles are “Hospital Administration” OR “Good Administration” OR “Hospital Services” AND “Patient Satisfaction” OR “Satisfaction” AND “Multivariate”. Articles included are full-text English from 2009 to 2021. Articles were selected using a PRISMA flow diagram. Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: A total of 7 cross-sectional study articles from Asia (China), Europe (Germany), and Africa (Ethiophia) were reviewed in the meta-analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that good hospital administration has the possibility to increase patient satisfaction 3.58 times compared with poor hospital administration (aOR= 3.58; 95% CI= 2.36 to 5.42; p<0.001) and the results were statistically significant.Conclusion: Hospital administration associated with patients statisfaction.Keywords: hospital, hospital administration, patient statisfaction, inpatients.Correspondence: Siti Maesaroh.     Meta Analysis: The Relationship between Hospital Management on Work Motivation among Nurse

    Background: In terms of improving employee performance, hospitals must have efforts that aim to motivate employees to be disciplined and have a work spirit in doing their jobs, while the efforts that can be made are to implement good hospital management. Motivation will be formed if the management applied by the agency is good, so that self-improvement and service quality will run by itself. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between hospital management on work motivation among nurse.Subjects and Method: This study is a meta-analysis with PICO, population: nurse. Intervention: good hospital managemenet. Comparison: poor hospital management. Outcome: nurse work motivation. The articles used in this study were obtained from three databases, namely Google Scholar, Pubmed, and Science Direct. Articles were analyzed using the Review Manager 5.3 application.Results: A total of 8 cross-sectional study articles from Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, and Japan), Europe (Switzerland), Africa (Ghana), and North America (United States) were reviewed in the meta-analysis.     Association between Nursing Spiritual Managament on Quality of Life: Meta-Analysis

This study examined religiousness and spiritual support in patients of diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds and associations with quality of life (QOL), treatment preferences, and advance care planning. This study aimed to analyze the association between nursing spiritual managament on quality of life based on previous studies.Subjects and Method: This study is a meta-analysis with PICO, population: inpatient.     Management Analysis of the Implementation of Covid-19 Vaccination in Reducing Positivity Rate in Regency Health Office of Boyolali, Central Java

    Background: The results of a vaccine accept­ance survey conducted by the Ministry of Health together with the Indonesian Technical Advisory Group on Immunization (ITAGI) with the support of UNICEF and WHO in September 2020 showed that most people (74%) were aware of the government's plan to carry out COVID-19 vaccination. The government targets 181,500,000 Indonesians to receive the vaccine to achieve herd immunity. Through this vacci­nation effort, it is hoped that it will reduce the COVID-19 positivity rate. The positivity rate is the ratio between the number of positive cases of Covid-19 and the number of tests carried out. The purpose of this study was to qualitatively examine the management analysis of the imple­mentation of Covid-19 vaccination in reducing positivity rate in Boyolali Regency Health Office.Subjects and Method: This was a type of descriptive research using a qualitative approach. Determination of informants is done by purposive sampling. Data was collected through indepth interviews, document review and observation. The data is processed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing and triangulation of sources and methods.Results:  The implementation of vaccination in the coverage area of the Boyolali Health Service was able to reduce the positivity rate in Boyolali. The COVID-19 vaccination procedure is carried out based on the requirements for the vaccine recipient community. According to the coordinator of the vaccination implementation at one of the hospitals in Boyolali (informant 1), they screened the patient's condition before starting the vaccination. In addition to screen­ing medical history, vaccine participants must be confirmed to be in a negative condition or not suffering from COVID-19 disease. Data from the Boyolali Health Office shows that since the vaccine began (mid-February), the number of COVID-19 sufferers has decreased.Conclusion: The management of the Covid-19 vaccination implementation in the Boyolali Health Service coverage area was able to reduce the positivity rate in Boyolali Regency.     The Effect of Hand Puppet Game and Cold Compress on the Reduction of Pain and Anxiety Levels in Preschool Age Children Undergoing Infusion in the Pediatric Care Room at Sumbawa Hospital

    Background: The infusion procedure was the most traumatic experience and can cause anxiety and pain for more than 50% of pediatric patients during hospitalization. This study was to determine the effect of hand puppet game and cold compress on pain and anxiety of pre­school age children undergoing infusion.Subjects and Method: This study used a quasi-experimental research design with the type of non-equivalent control group posttest-only design. It was conducted in the Pediatric Care Room at Sumbawa Hospital in July-Sep­tember 2020. The total number of respondents who were hospitalized in the Pediatric Care Room at Sumbawa Hospital selected by con­se­cutive sampling. They were divided into two, 38 people in each intervention and control group. The intervention group was given cold com­press on the infusion area and the hand puppet game, while the control group was given treat­ment according to hospital standards. The dependent variables of the study were pain level and anxiety level, while the independent variables included hand puppet game and ice pack (cold compress). In addition, the instru­ments used were pain and anxiety instruments. Data analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test.Results: Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney test, there was a change of pain levels (p<0.001) and anxiety levels (p<0.001) after receiving hand puppet game and cold compress during infusion compared to children with normal treatment.Conclusion: Hand puppet game and cold compress administration can be applied to reduce pain and anxiety levels in preschool age children during the infusion procedure.Keywords: children, distraction, anxiety, pain, infusionCorrespondence: Alfia Safitri.     Meta Analysis on the Effect of the Quality of Health Services with the Level of Patient Satisfaction

    Background: patient-oriented health services are the primary strategy for health service organiza­tions. A good service is determined by the fact that the services provided can meet the patient's needs. Patient satisfac­tion is an integral part of the quality assurance of health service. This study aims to analyze the quality of tangible health ser­vices with patient satisfaction in receiving health services.Subjects and Method: Meta-analysis was performed by searching journals from direct databases such as Google Scholar, Science Direct, and PubMed using the key­words service quality, patient satisfaction, and heat service. The inclusion criteria in this study were full text from 2010-2021, with a cross-sectional study. The data analysis was carried out by RevMan 5.3.Results: Nine articles have been analyzed, showing that the quality of service had direct evidence of an effect on patient satis­faction in accessing health services (aOR= 4.17; 95% CI= 1.78 to 9.78; p <0.001).Conclusion: The quality of direct evidence (tangible) affects patient satisfaction in accessing health services.Keywords: tangible, service, patient satisfaction.Correspondence: Siti Mar'atul Mu­na­waroh.     Determinants of Job Performance among Medical Rehabilitation Health Personnel at Dr. Moewardi Hospital, Surakarta, Central Java: A Path Analysis Evidence

    Background: The quality of a health institution is determined by human resources (HR) and the quality of staff services. The quality of health human resources is measured by employee performance and productivity especially services that are directly related to patients, such as the Department of Medical Rehabilitation. This study aimed to analyze the psychosocial economic determinants of the performance of medical rehabilitation health personnel.Subjects and Method: This study used a cross-sectional method. This study was conducted from May 2020 to June 2020. The sample was selected by exhaustive sampling by 200 medical rehabilitation health personnel at Dr. Moewardi, Surakarta. The dependent variable was performance. The independent variables were motivation, skill, work atmosphere, facilities and infrastructure, work experience, training, education, leadership style, incentive, reinforcement, vicarious learning, and observational learning. The data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis with STATA version 13.Results: Medical rehabilitation health personnel had a likelihood of performing well with participative leaders (b=2.24; 95%CI=0.09 to 1.44; p=0.025), sufficient incentives (b=3.19; 95%CI=0.42 to 1.76; p<0.001), high motivation (b=3.38; 95%CI=0.51 to 1.93; p<0.001), by attenting training and education for medical rehabilitation (b=1.86; 95%CI=-0.03 to 1.27; p=0.064), good reinforcement (b=1.72; 95%CI=- 0.09 to 1.42; p=0.086), training and education through incentives (b=1.86; 95%CI=- 0.02 to 1.11; p=0.062), conducive work atmosphere through motivation (b=2.49; 95%CI=0.16 to 1.42; p=0.013).Conclusion: The performance of medical rehabilitation health personnel is affected by leadership style, incentives, motivation, training and education, work atmosphere, and reinforcement.Keywords: social cognitive, performance, path analysisCorrespondence: Sisybania, Masters Program in Public Health, Sebelas Maret University, Jl.     Determinants of Resistance to Changes in Hospital Program Implementation

    Background: Organizational change is the embodiment of changing organizational environ­ments, structures, cultures, technologies, or people. Changes are planned to make the organization more effective and efficient, but there is still resistance from members of the organization. Negative reactions arise because changes provide pressure, stress, and uncertainty for employees. The goal in the study was to analyze employees' perceptions of commitment, readiness, and resistance during times of change to the implementation of the "MARMER" program.Subjects and Method: The study was conducted at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. The selected hospital organization is a hospital that has a program preventing antimicrobial resistance through restriction efficiency (MARMER) for the control of antibiotic resistance. Research design uses quantitative research methods. The population in this study is all health workers at Dr. Iskak Tulungagung Hospital. Data collection through questionnaires. Multivariate data analysis using SEM with SmartPLS.Results: Commitment to change has a significant direct influence on the readiness for change (t-values= 9.95 > 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= 0.53). Commitment to change does not significantly affect change resistance (t-values = 1.22< 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= 0.13). Readiness for change has a negative effect on change resistance (t-values= -5.30 >1.96; Standard Coefficiency= -0.60). Commitment to change negatively and significantly affects resistance to change through readiness to change (t-values = -4.24 > 1.96; Standard Coefficiency= -0.36).Conclusion: Commitment directly affects the readiness of change. Commitment and readiness affect the resistance of change.     Determinants of Health Care Renunciation among Women in Ivory Coast: Case of the District of Abobo Anonkoi-3

    Background: Health care renunciation aims to identify unmet care needs that a health con­dition would have justified. This behavior appears to be more common in women than in men. The objective of this work was to analyze the determinants of the health care renuncia­tion among women in the city of Abidjan.Subjects and Method: We carried out a cross-sectional study from March to May 2019 in Anonkoi-3, a peri-urban district of the muni­cipality of Abobo, in the north of the city of Abidjan. Questionnaires served to collect infor­mations. Bivariate analyzes and a multiple logistic regression were used to measure the association between the different types of renunciation and the characteristics of women. Dependant variable was healthcare renuncia­tion. Independent variables were socio-demo­graphic, economic, health status characte­ristics and reasons for renouncing to health care.Results: The population sample consisted of 423 women (with mean age= 32; SD= 12 years). The renunciation on consultations with the general practitioner concerned, 72.34% of women. Regarding consultation with the spe­cialist, the ophthalmologist (25.05%), the dentist (21.99%), and the gynecologist (14.89%) were those mostly renounced by the women. After consultation, 31.2% of them renounced to pursuing other treatment. They most often renounced to buying drugs from conventional medicine (19.62%) and preferred to use street drugs and traditional drugs (87.71%). All things being equal, women aged 28 to 38 (OR= 2.45; 95% CI= 1.31 to 4.68; p= 0.013), artisans and traders (OR= 3.22; 95% CI= 1.48 to 7.38; p= 0.004) and those in trade learning (OR= 2.42; 95% CI= 1.12 to 5.49; p= 0.028) significantly renouncing more on health care.Conclusion: In addition to financial reasons, the renunciation on health care can be explained by individual and social behaviors specific to individuals.Keywords: women, healthcare renunciation, precariousness, social inequalities, ivory coastCorrespondence: Jérôme Kouame, Faculty of Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences, Department of Public Health, Hydrology and Toxicology, University Félix Houphouët Boigny, BPV 34 Abidjan 01, Ivory Coast.
