THEORETICAL ASPECTS OF EDUCATIONAL TOURISM
In today\u27s technological era, rural tourism with its unique and unusual offer, which carries the traditions, culture and culinary heritage of ancestors, becomes a proper and unique cultural capital, and it has opportunities to hybridize with other types of tourism, for example, with educational tourism. As a separate type of tourism - educational tourism, becomes an innovative opportunity to revive the usual rural tourism offer. In order to retain the interest of tourists, the tourism experience must have transformative potential. Consumer experiences can contribute to tourists\u27 cognitions and emotions, resulting in psychological, physical, social, or knowledge changes. Educational tourism combines the features of two fields: education and tourism, which at the intersection gives the actual educational tourism. In Latvia, educational tourism is not defined as a separate economic category. This type of tourism can become a successful platform for travelers\u27 self-growth, creating opportunities for them to learn, relax and improve spiritually. The aim of the study is to analyze the interpretations of the definition. The research uses the scientific literature research method. The research questions are (1) What research has been done on aspects of educational tourism? (2 ) Which scientists have focused on the study of this concept? (3) What are the prerequisites for the introduction of educational tourism in Latgale/regions? An exploratory study was implemented and described in this paper
ALCOHOL USE IN A GROUP OF ADOLESCENTS AS SOCIALLY DEFINED DEVIANT BEHAVIOR
Alcohol consumption among adolescents in social theories is considered a formally defined deviant behavior. There is no doubt about the negative health consequences of this behavior, however, several researchers point to its role in the process of growing up and socialization. Along with the development of theories of deviant behavior, the question – whether alcohol consumption among adolescents is still identified as deviant behavior, becomes relevant. To assess the aspect of alcohol consumption as a socially determined deviance, the results of a longitudinal cohort study among Latvian schoolchildren were analyzed. The analysis of the research data includes such indicators as the characteristics of the situation and age of the adolescent when they try to alcohol first and the attitude of parents towards adolescents alcohol use. The research data were compared in four stages from the start of 7th grade (T1) till the end of 9th grade (T4). The results indicate that adolescents are well informed about the legal ban on alcohol consumption (at the beginning of the study in the T1 period, 89.3% were aware of the ban on the use of alcohol by minors). Still, the contradictory behavior of the parents, allowing adolescents to consume alcohol (in the T4 period, 65.9% of students who have consumed alcohol, their parents have permitted to do so) creates an ambiguous perception of alcohol consumption as a deviant behavior among adolescents. In general, this contradiction can reduce the effectiveness of normative and communicative tools in the prevention of alcohol initiation among adolescents. The results of the study confirm - that to delay the initiation of alcohol consumption among adolescents - it is necessary to define alcohol consumption among adolescents as deviant behavior in society as a whole.

Qualitative research was chosen for the study by using the method of semi-structured interview. 10 social pedagogues, who work in school in different Lithuanian regions, participated in the study. The study revealed the experience of social pedagogues in empowering traumatised children in school. The study highlighted that in empowering children who have experienced psychological trauma, it is first of all important for the social pedagogue to show the child individual care and provide him with the necessary support. Ensuring that the child receives emotional support and counselling, if necessary using the services of a psychotherapist or psychologist. It is also important to work with the child\u27s family to understand the family\u27s needs and capacity to provide the necessary support. Provide the family with practical help and advice on how to cope with the child\u27s trauma and stress. In order to empower children, it is important to allow them to participate in decision-making because then children will feel in control of their own lives. Empowering psychologically traumatised children requires providing them with a safe and stable environment where they can feel calm and have their needs met. It is equally important that traumatised children become involved in classroom activities or social groups at school, to build relationships and receive support from the school community. Social educators emphasise the importance of educational activities in the school community to help children develop their skills and talents. Long-term collaboration to empower children and their families ensures sustainable well-being of society.
