Seeds of Knowledge: An Anthropologist’s Summer at Sprout Farm
This reflection describes my transformative summer internship at Sprout Farm, where I engaged in community-based agriculture, collaborated with a wonderful team of farmers, and explored the intersections of food justice, sustainability, and political activism. Through hands-on labor, community engagement, and partnerships with Fresh New London and the Mohegan and Eastern Pequot Tribal Nations, I deepened my understanding of food sovereignty, collective responsibility in land stewardship, and the production of knowledge outside traditional academic spaces. The experience demonstrated how community-based sustainable agriculture can inform both theoretical and applied approaches to social justice and community resilience

EMS Training Professionals - EMT Student
This reflection describes my summer completing my EMT certification in Connecticut. It includes both classroom, laboratory, and ambulatory experiences. I was able to complete both psychomotor (practical) and cognitive (written) examinations to become a certified EMT in Connecticut, as well as gain experience on an ambulance through ride-along work. This process made me eligible to take the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) exam and the completion of that allows for me to practice as an EMT in the state of Connecticut

Nomad Creators fashion Marketing Internship Reflection
This paper reflects on my internship experience with Nomad Creators, a company rooted in Central Asian fashion and culture. Initially motivated by an interest in exploring Central Asian dress, I ultimately gained broader insights into the influence of Western fashion and how brands navigate cross-cultural identities between Central Asia and the United States. Through this internship, I developed professional skills in social media management, creative branding, and cross-cultural marketing while working in multiple languages. I discovered that I thrive when given structured goals and deadlines, and I learned to adapt quickly to challenges, such as transitioning to work directly with the CEO after my supervisor’s departure. My liberal arts education supported this experience by enabling me to connect creative and analytical skills across disciplines. Overall, this internship confirmed my passion for the fashion business and marketing, strengthened my career direction, and provided me with clarity about my role within the fashion industry
Heidelberg University International Summer Course
This is a reflection on my experience as a student at Heidelberg University\u27s International Summer School. Heidelberg is an international city in the southwest of Germany, approximately an hour south of Frankfurt. Heidelberg University is well known for its excellence in education. While a lot of the students attending have a bit of German language knowledge, they also offer courses for students that have never spoken German before. Most other courses require you to know a little of the language first. If you are an architecture student, while there isn\u27t any specific architecture themes, Heidelberg is home to many old structures, including its castle, which has been blown up at least once but is still standing and beautiful. There are also opportunities to go on day trips to nearby historically significant cities, such as Nuremburg and Strasbourg(which is in France). You can also visit nearby cities such as Schwetzingen, whose castle is beautiful and hosts both Baroque and English gardens. The professors are quite nice and good at explaining things
