No full textLos casos de argumentos originariamente creados para el teatro que han sido trasladados al cine son ya cuantiosos. El objetivo de este estudio es analizar el funcionamiento de determinados elementos dramatúrgicos en obras teatrales y fílmicas relacionadas. El resultado posibilita la reflexión sobre las distintas formas de adaptación y propicia el aprendizaje de mecanismos que faciliten la aceptación de determinados recursos. El corpus elegido está formado por películas basadas en dos grandes clásicos teatrales: La Orestiada, de Esquilo, y Macbeth, de Shakespeare. Para la primera se analizará The Black Pirate (El pirata negro, 1926), The Last Wagon (La ley del talión, 1956) y Bravados (El vengador sin piedad, 1958). Para la segunda se atenderá a Scarface (1932), The Godfather (El padrino II -1974- y El padrino III -1990), Citizen Kane (Ciudadano Kane, 1941) y All about Eve (Eva al desnudo, 1950). En primer lugar, se hace un breve repaso sobre las distintas formas que ha seguido el cine para llevar a las pantallas contenidos teatrales. A partir de ahí se propone una clasificación que ayude a distinguir los distintos ejemplos que se presentarán a continuación. En segundo lugar, se presentan someramente las dos grandes obras teatrales escogidas. El análisis dramatúrgico que se hace de cada una de ellas sirve para comprender el funcionamiento interno y su influencia en la recepción a lo largo del tiempo. Entre los conceptos que serán objeto de análisis están el tema, el conflicto, los personajes y la estructura. La aproximación a cada una de las películas se hace a partir de los recursos teatrales que se han mencionado antes. De esta manera se pone toda la atención en la traslación de lo teatral a lo fílmico.
The cases of plots originally created for the theater that have been transferred to the cinema are already numerous. The objective of this study is to analyze the functioning of certain dramaturgical elements in related theatrical and film works. The result enables reflection on the different forms of adaptation and encourages the learning of mechanisms that facilitate the acceptance of certain resources. The chosen corpus is made up of films based on two great theatrical classics: The Oresteia, by Aeschylus, and Macbeth, by Shakespeare. For the first, The Black Pirate (1926), The Last Wagon (1956) and Bravados (1958) will be analyzed. For the second we will look at Scarface (1932), The Godfather II (1974) and The Godfather III (1990), Citizen Kane (1941) and All about Eve (1950). Firstly, a brief review is made of the different ways that cinema has followed to bring theatrical content to the screens. From there, a classification is proposed that helps distinguish the different examples that will be presented below. Secondly, the two major theatrical works chosen are briefly presented. The dramaturgical analysis of each of them serves to understand the internal functioning and its influence on reception over time. Among the concepts that will be analyzed are theme, conflict, characters and structure. The approach to each of the films is made from the theatrical resources that have been mentioned before. No full textUrban farming is becoming more common in the United States, although gardeners and urban growers remain poorly aware of the risks associated with heavy metal contamination and the best practices to manage them. Lead (Pb) contamination has increased with anthropogenic activities and can present important health risks in urban agriculture contexts, through contact with soil particles and crop Pb uptake. Phosphorus (P) amendments, as well as arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) can both participate to remediate Pb in contaminated soils. This study at a highly Pb-contaminated urban site tested how amendments with P in the form of bonemeal and the use of Pro-Mix potting soil containing the commercial AMF strain Rhizoglomus irregulare DAOM 197198 affect Pb accumulation in lettuce. Our results highlight that separately, these treatments can reduce Pb in lettuce leaves and provide Pb protection. However, using a combination of both treatments creates an interaction that raises Pb leaf concentration and creates concerns for crop safety. The study also highlighted soil organic matter and pH as important predictors of Pb phytoavailability. This work therefore provides evidence and insight on best management practices in elevated Pb soils for urban growers
