    Sports Performance Internship

    No full text
This paper reflects on my summer internship with Exos in Rapid City, where I worked closely with a team of experienced sports performance coaches. The reflection explores how I found and secured the internship, the learning objectives I set, and the professional skills I developed — particularly recognition, cueing, and program design. I discuss how my liberal arts education and previous coaching experience prepared me to contribute quickly, eventually leading training sessions by my second week. Key moments of growth included learning to adapt programs for younger athletes and receiving feedback that confirmed my natural strengths in client communication and coaching. Ultimately, this experience deepened my commitment to pursuing a career in sports rehabilitation, inspired me to pursue my CSCS certification, and shaped the next steps in my academic and professional journey

A&S Studios: Learning to Adapt as an Audio Engineer

    No full text
This essay presents my summer internship experience at A&S Studios, a music production studio, which forced me to adapt my career goals due to an unexpected lack of professional opportunities and direction. Initially, I sought hands-on audio engineering experience, but the studio struggled with low client volume and administrative issues. As a result, I made a critical decision to pivot my summer initiatives so that I could still create a successful experience. Through various projects focusing on the intersection of music and technology, I successfully provided a meaningful learning experience for myself. This involved independently developing skills in digital signal processing and loudspeaker restoration, and through a series of personal projects, I turned this unexpected situation into a productive one. While I did not anticipate this, the experience taught me invaluable career skills like patience, critical thinking, and adaptability

    No full text
During my time at TBSC Consulting and the European Business Association of Georgia, I co-managed a project titled “Georgia to Europe Business Connections”, where another intern and I were tasked with a project cataloging all available programs from Georgia and the European Union to provide financial and/or technical assistance to Georgian businesses wanting to begin exporting or operating in Europe. We then advised TBSC and EBA on best practices to support businesses through this process. Through this experience, I was able to build on my skills in areas including communication, cultural competency, and market research and analysis

Summer Science Botany Research with Dr. Rachel Spicer 2025

    No full text
I discuss my time at Connecticut College’s Summer Science Research Institute program studying botany with Professor Rachel Spicer. I explain what the program was like for me, my hesitations before entering, the academic connections I formed with science professors and students as well as social connections I formed with the New London community, and how this opportunity benefited me in terms of skills I gained and how they connect broader to my future. I also give an overview of what our research was about, studying the movement of the hormone auxin in Populus tremula x alba, and how our research acted as a fun culmination of botany, molecular biology, and chemistry. I end with commenting on what my future may hold and how this program paved the way for it

    No full text
This summer I completed an internship at RCI Theatricals, a established Broadway general management company. In my position, I learned about the day to day operations of commercial theater and theatrical management. I also received many perks from my internship, as I saw over a dozen shows this summer, many free of charge. This was a phenomenal experience and internship that I would recommend to anyone interested in how the business of theater operates
