The Mechanism behind the Heart Shaped Herb's Purple Glow
No full textThis paper will investigate the mechanism behind the purple glow produced by the heart shaped herb seen in the Black Panther movie. Auto-luminescent plants Nicotiana tabacum (tobacco plant) have been produced facilitated by the horizontal gene transfer of the lux operon gene from bacteria. There are many bioluminescent marine species which live deep in the sea; these include anglerfish and Watasenia scintillans, also known as a firefly squid. Their luminescent properties are due to bioluminescent bacteria and photophores. This paper will investigate whether these bacteria can be used to produce the glow in the heart shaped herb.

Students’ Misconceptions in Chemical Equilibria and Suggestions for Improved Instruction
Get PDFAn investigation was conducted into the common misconceptions in chemical equilibria, adopted by a sample of UK secondary school students. These included the characteristics of a dynamic equilibrium, the nature of the reactants and products at equilibrium, as well as the effect of conditions and catalyst on equilibrium. Suggestions for improved teaching were obtained from the students. These included ensuring a clear and comprehensive delivery of basic principles, more or better use of practical demonstrations where appropriate, and use of practice questions. Further research around these suggestions could investigate the value of consulting students’ views and ideas in addressing their misconceptions, to ultimately improve overall conceptual understanding in instruction

How the Black Panther Serum Works

The Black Panther serum is a heart shaped herb containing a metallic ore called Vibranium. This paper explores the possibility that this metallic ore may have been absorbed into the heart shaped herb, by the same mechanism as cadmium via the apoplast and symplast pathway. Through ionising radiation vibranium then mutated the herbs genome. These mutations in the heart shaped herb are transferred via Eukaryotic gene transfer into Black Panthers genes. These gained mutations which give Black Panther a range of enhanced abilities

The Museum Registrar as ‘Assembled Role’: A Productive Conceptualization of Collections Management Practice?
No full textRegistrars are an integral part of many contemporary museums, yet theirs is a role that can be difficult to grasp with any certainty. By examining the interconnected functions and duties that constitute registrar practice, this article seeks to determine its scope with greater clarity. To establish the context and rationale for this study, I explore the reasons for the development of competing perceptions surrounding the registrar profession. The article then surveys the definitions of the role present in the published literature to identify the functions most commonly identified with registrar practice. Using the principles of assemblage theory, it fashions a new interpretation of registrar practice from the individual processes that are most widely ascribed to it. The resulting ‘assembled role’ encompasses the fields of resource management, logistics, and risk management. This concept is harnessed to explore the complexities of contemporary registrar practice by considering their role in the acquisition of a born-digital meme. The article concludes by advocating further critical examination of museum registrars and anticipating their continuing importance to the work of museums
Military Women in Museum Exhibitions in Lviv (Ukraine): Past Experience and Modernity
No full textUkrainian women received military experience during the First and Second World Wars and in the contemporary Russian-Ukrainian War in services such as the Ukrainian Sich Riflemen (USS), the Ukrainian Galician Army (UGA), the Ukrainian Insurgent Army (UPA), the Soviet Army, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF). This paper analyzes the representations of Ukrainian women's military experiences during the twentieth and twenty-first centuries in museum exhibitions in Lviv (a city in Western Ukraine). The authors conclude that the experiences of women veterans of the First and Second World Wars frequently remain neglected, creating an incomplete picture of the past and continuing to shape representations of women’s roles in the current Russian-Ukrainian War
