Museums as Humanitarian and Spiritual Help for Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars
This article presents research on museums during the occupation and annexation of Crimea since 2014, as well as information relating to institutions in the Kyiv, Kherson, and Zhytomyr regions of Ukraine following Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The first part of the article analyzes the situation of the Museum of Crimean Tatar Heritage housed in the sixteenth-century Bakhchysarai Palace. In the second part, the article discusses museums dedicated to Joseph Conrad, Polina Rayko, and Maria Prymachenko, together with activist ‘open-air’ museums by Banksy in the de-occupied part of the Kyiv region. With these geographical emphases, this article complements others in this collection
Exhibition Projects of the Vinnytsya Regional Museum during the Critical Phase of Russia's War in Ukraine
The essay presents the exhibition activities of the Vinnytsia Regional Museum during the first year of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine (February – December 2022), conducted in the conditions of the closure of the main museum exposition, the influx of refugees from the Southern Regions of Ukraine, and the extreme concerns for safety of the staff, visitors, and art objects

We explore the journey to Alpha Centauri using 2 different spaceships, as in Netflix's series "Lost in Space". We find the Resolute has an average speed of 100c, while the Jupiter is much slower and has a journey time of 5.87 years. As a result of the high speed travel, the Jupiter experiences a time dilation of 3 years, a length contraction of 11.9 m, and is Doppler shifted into the ultraviolet spectrum
P4 6 Satellite Stomps- Harry's Power
We investigate the use of Kinetic Flooring during the "Satellite Stomps" in a performance of Harry Styles' "Love on Tour" as a way to produce the energy to power the entire show. We found that Harry alone would produce 2.63x10 kWh, while the entire show would use 15200 kWh, meaning a total of 57.8 million fans would be required to produce enough energy for the entire show
P5 5 Meteor Mash
In this paper we calculated the kinetic energy of one of the meteors described in the spell 'Meteor Swarm' from D\&D, and then estimated the crater that would be formed from it's impact. We found the kinetic energy to be 1.31x10J and the diameter and depth of the resulting crater to be 588m and 147 m respectively
P3 6 Extraterrestrial Wind Turbines - Which Planet Is Most Suitable
Wind power is a potentially essential form of sustainable energy, using the energy of wind to turn turbines and generate electricity. Wind turbines are usually found on the windiest places on Earth; however, there are windier places beyond Earth, in our own solar system. The winds of Neptune, for example, reach approximately 600 m/s, the fastest in the solar system. We find that the power generated by one turbine on Neptune is 235 GW, which means 13 Neptunian turbines are required to provide enough power for the worl
P1 2 Green Shell Launch Velocity In Mario Kart
This paper investigates the required launch velocity for a green shell to cause various characters’ karts to spin-out as shown in Mario Kart gameplay. By modelling the three karts as squares of different sizes and using their moment of inertia combined with the conservation of kinetic energy, the shell velocity could be calculated. To make two full rotations in one second for Toad, Yoshi, and Bowser this was found to be 24.2 ms−1 , 57.2 ms−1 , and 221.3 ms−1 respectively
Investigating barriers that prevent students attaining their full potential during their degree
Social and economic barriers that students face during their studies can impact severely on their attainment and can be due to many factors. This study investigated how different socio-economic factors, with a focus on digital poverty and workspace availability may have affected students' attainment (during October 2021 - March 2022) at university post-COVID-19. Quantitative data collected during the first teaching block of the 2021-2022 academic year using specific questions in a paper-based questionnaire indicated that a good proportion of life science students did not have access to a home internet source (35%) or proper workspace facilities (34%) and had the requirement to work alongside their degree in order to fund their studies. In contrast to the lack of internet students experienced, many of the surveyed students did have access to a personal computer within their household. Possible reasons for some of the findings, and the implications of the findings, are discussed here
A3 7 Seasonal Orbit
In this paper, we determined how the intensity of solar radiation incident on Leicester changes over the year and investigate what effect Earth's elliptical orbit may have on influencing the intensity. We discovered that there is only a 6% increase on the intensity of sunlight the Earth receives when the Earth is at perihelion compared to it at aphelion. This small difference is drastically outweighed by the approximately 70% difference caused by the Earth's tilt

In this paper we have explored the possibility of cooking the perfect steak using only solar radiation and have posed the question: How close to the sun would have to be to cook the perfect steak? We found that you would need to be approximately within 220000 km and that is far closer than any human could withstand. We concluded that using solar radiation was not a viable method of cooking a steak
