Antecedents of export performance among Chinese smartphone manufacturers in ASEAN: The moderating effect of competitive intensity
This study explores the antecedents that influence the export performance of Chinese smartphone manufacturers in ASEAN, while considering the moderating effect of competitive intensity. Data was collected from Chinese smartphone manufacturers using questionnaires that focused on their involvement in specific export activities. A non-probability sampling procedure was used to select the participating firms. Based on the theoretical framework, this study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) for data analysis. The findings reveal significant relationships between market-seeking and export performance, as well as between relational assets-seeking and export performance. Notably, technical capability exhibited a significant impact on export performance. However, the study found that the impact of innovation capability on export performance is not significant. The study also revealed that competitive intensity moderates the relationship between innovation capability and export performance, along with the relationship between technical capability and export performance. Conversely, competitive intensity did not impact the relationship between market-seeking and export performance, nor the relationship between relational assets-seeking and export performance. Hence, this study presents a holistic assessment of Chinese smartphone manufacturers' export performance by accounting for the overlooked antecedents through moderating competitive intensity. This study has far-reaching consequences for export academics and practitioners, particularly in terms of understanding the fundamental concept of internationalizing small-and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises
The effect of internal dynamic capabilities on export performance: the mediating role of innovation ambidexterity and strategic planning effectiveness
Dynamic capabilities are the main driving forces of business growth and firm performance, especially in an uncertain business environment. Firms that wish to expand their operations to worldwide markets must upgrade their skills to accommodate foreign market conditions. The theory of dynamic capabilities argues that reconfiguring and upgrading firms’ dynamic capabilities can sustain international business performance. Drawing upon dynamic capability and internationalization theories, this study aims to study the effect of internal dynamic capabilities (technological capabilities, marketing capabilities, absorptive capacity, and customer relationship management capabilities) on the export performance (EP) of Algerian manufacturers. In addition, the study assessed the mediator effect of innovation ambidexterity and strategic planning effectiveness. Using a cross-sectional survey with self-administered and online questionnaire approaches, data was collected from the managers of exporting SMEs in Algeria's manufacturing sector. For the purpose of testing the hypotheses, a total of 316 questionnaires were distributed and 248 returned questionnaires were considered as valid, with 78,48 percent valid response rate was obtained. The data were analyzed using SPSS and PLS-SEM using Smart-PLS 3.0, which was done to evaluate the study's hypotheses. According to the study findings, (e.g., technological, marketing, innovation ambidexterity, and strategic planning effectiveness) had a positive and significant impact on export performance. While absorptive capacity and customer relationship management recorded an insignificant impact on export performance. The study also found that innovation ambidexterity and strategic planning effectiveness were played a critical role as a mediators on internal dynamic capabilities and export performance link. The study added to the body of knowledge about dynamic capabilities by asserting the need for international dynamic capabilities to be levelled up in order to fit internationalization and join foreign ventures. The study, in addition, addressed several managerial and theoretical implications

Adoption of the shariah-compliant e-wallet among young muslims in Kedah
E-wallet was an innovative payment instrument that arose under financial technology. E-wallet helps ease the user’s daily life, in which users can make daily transactions without using notes or coins. Indirectly, E-wallet also helps to reduce the risk of cash being stolen. Undeniably, an E-wallet brings more benefits than disadvantages. The primary aim of this study is to examine the factors affecting the adoption of Shariah-compliant e-wallets among young Muslims in Kedah. The questionnaire consisted of 29 questions, was distributed to the respondents, and successfully collected 236 feedbacks. Firstly, this study applied factor analysis to construct all the variables. Also, Cronbach’s α coefficient was computed to determine internal consistency reliabilities. Then, this study used regression analysis to test the relationship between the variables. The regression analysis showed that users would adopt a Shariah-compliant e-wallet when they perceived it as easy to use and useful. In contrast, shariah compliance is insignificantly in adopting Shariah-compliant e-wallets. These results help the E-wallet service providers identify the significant factors influencing users to use E-wallet services. Lastly, this study recommended that e-wallet provider companies raise awareness and promote products that comply with Shariah principles. It is because a large number of users are still unable to differentiate between e-wallets that are permissible according to Shariah guidelines

The data obtained was analyzed using Pearson's correlation and Multiple Regression. The results of the study show that the independent variable is positively correlated with the benefits of cashless payment transactions except one independent variable which is perceived security. This study is considered a very useful finding for future researchers
Impact of Flexi Payment Digital Platform and Online Stimuli on Malaysia Gen Z’s Halal Consumption
This research study aimed to examine the impact of flexi payment, digital platforms, and online purchasing stimuli on halal consumption among Gen Z in Malaysia. The background of the research is based on the growing importance of online purchasing behaviour among Gen Z consumers and the significance of halal consumption in Malaysia. The study used a quantitative research approach and collected data through questionnaire survey. The sample population was students aged 18 to 25 years representative from private and public universities in Malaysia, using a nonprobability convenience sampling technique. The study found that impulsive buying tendencies with halal consumption have distinct components influencing the online shopping behaviour. The study revealed that certain online purchasing stimuli, such as limited time offers, low stock, free return offers, and free shipping offers, increase impulsive buying tendencies. The use of digital platforms and flexi payment options, such as credit card instalment plans and buy-now-pay-later facilities, was found to increase impulsive buying behaviour in Gen Z in Malaysia. The study suggests that Muslim consumers who wish to adhere to the principles of ethical consumption may need to develop strategies to resist impulsive buying tendencies, such as setting a budget, planning purchases in advance, and practising mindfulness when shopping online. Thus, the key findings of this study provide insights into the online purchasing behaviour of Gen Z in Malaysia and highlight the need for awareness and a responsible approach to halal consumption
Kegagalan kerjasama politik UMNO dan PAS dari 2018 hingga 2022
BN’s defeat in GE 14 had propelled the party to decide on its new direction. One important new direction of UMNO was to establish a cooperation with PAS. This study would identify relationship pattern between UMNO and PAS pre GE 14, investigate factors resulting in the need for UMNO and PAS cooperation to be established in the aftermath of GE 14 and investigate factors causing UMNO and PAS cooperation to crumble pre GE 15. This study was held using qualitative method through content analysis on reports of newspapers, speeches, interviews and newsportals. This study found that UMNO and PAS cooperation was easily established in the aftermath of GE 14 due to the closeness in the relationship between the two parties pre GE 14. UMNO and PAS cooperation in the aftermath of GE 14 was built on a very strong foundation, which is the realization that it will bring victory, sharing of a similar ideology between UMNO and PAS and the failure of PH Government to take care of the Malay Muslim interests. However, out of control factor arose causing in the fracture of UMNO and PAS cooperation in the aftermath of GE 14, which is the fall of PH Government from power that made the raison detre for cooperation between the two parties disappear. The cooperation then crumbled due to the “two faced” stand of PAS which was resulted by the appearance of BERSATU as an intruder to this cooperation. UMNO’s confidence on its good performance in the state elections of Melaka and Johor meanwhile made UMNO determined to sever its tie with BERSATU, while PAS was still loyal to BERSATU, hence bringing this cooperation to crumble
The mediating role of affective commitment in the relationship between the strategic planning process and the organizational effectiveness: case study of the Jordanian ministry of interior
Drawing upon the Resource-Based View, Harvard Policy Model, and the Synoptic planning theory, the primary goal of this study is to examine the mediating role of affective commitment in the relationships between strategic planning practices, (scanning intensity, planning flexibility, locus of planning, and planning horizon) and organizational effectiveness in Jordanian Ministry of Interior. 361 questionnaires were distributed to the respondents, of which, 243 responses were returned and used for the final analysis. The Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling technique was used to evaluate the hypotheses. The finding shows that the direct link between the three dimensions of strategic planning (scanning intensity, planning flexibility, locus of planning) and organizational effectiveness, were significant and hence supported. It also revealed that the four hypotheses suggested for the direct association between strategic planning practices and affective commitment were all supported. The results further suggested that there is a direct link between affective commitment and organizational effectiveness. Furthermore, the results offered empirical evidence that affective commitment mediated the link between strategic planning (scanning intensity, planning flexibility, locus of planning, and planning horizon) and organizational effectiveness. Based on these results, the study recommends enhancing strategic planning practices and fostering affective commitment to improve organizational effectiveness. It suggests policy revisions, focused training, and the development of engagement programs as practical measures. The study’s theoretical contribution lies in its empirical validation of the mediating role of affective commitment within strategic planning and its practical implications for public sector strategic management

Developing Zakat Kedah recipients index (ZaKRi)) and modelling the criteria of zakat applicants' eligibility
The increase in the number of zakat applicants has led to difficulties in identifying eligible recipients. The identification process is time-consuming as zakat institutions need to carefully assess applicants to ensure they meet the criteria according to Islamic principles. This study aims to determine the important criteria for evaluating the eligibility of zakat recipients in 12 districts in Kedah. Data and expert opinions were collected to assess the importance of criteria through weighted values using the Entropy and Best-Worst methods. Meanwhile, aggregate weighting was used to represent the overall relationship of each criterion in determining the priority of zakat recipients through the development of the Kedah Zakat Recipient Index (ZaKRi). Each district in Kedah has differences due to geography. This opens an opportunity to examine the significance of criteria based on the geography of the regions. Therefore, a Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) model was developed to understand the relationship between income and other zakat criteria. The results from the aggregate weighted values indicate that out of 17 criteria, per capita income, electronic devices, communication tools, and employment status are crucial in determining the eligibility of zakat recipients. Furthermore, ZaKRi results show that Langkawi has the highest number of zakat recipients compared to other districts, indicating a higher level of poverty in Langkawi. Meanwhile, the GWR model highlights the need for transportation in all districts, particularly in Langkawi, due to difficulties in accessing basic commodities in remote areas and island
