Dynamic duty cycle and backoff scheduling mechanism for wireless body area network
Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) is an emerging technology based on wireless sensors on, around, or in a human body to exchange information between sensors to a coordinator connected to remote stations for data analysis. The traditional WBAN uses IEEE 802.15.4 standard, where communication is based on Medium Access Control (MAC) layer. However, this type of communication has degraded the overall network performance. This study proposed a Dynamic Duty Cycle and Backoff Scheduling mechanism (DDCBS) in IEEE 802.15.4 MAC protocol to control the active period of the superframe structure for coordinating and controlling channel access between nodes that can enhance the network performance. DDCBS consists of a Dynamic Next Beacon Interval and Superframe Duration scheme for adapting the successive values of beacon order and superframe order and a Dynamic Backoff Period scheme for adapting the value of the backoff period. Through a simulation, a series of experimental studies were conducted to validate and evaluate the performance of DDCBS. The results were compared with existing schemes such as Traffic Class Prioritization based Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Avoidance, Class of Service Traffic Priority-based Medium Access Control, Auto Management of Energy, and IEEE 802.15.4 Standard. The findings reveal that DDCBS performs better than TCP-CSMA/CA, CSTP-MAC, AME and IEEE 802.15.4. The throughput and packet delivery ratio increased by 9% and 23%, respectively. Energy consumption has decreased by 2%, and DDCBS has shown a significant performance by reducing 23% of the packet loss ratio. Thus, the findings demonstrate that DDCBS has improved the network’s stability and fair access among all nodes. Due to the improvement in quality of service (QoS) that DDCBS has demonstrated, it can be used in a highly dynamic environment to improve WBAN performance. Implementing DDCBS in WBAN leads to decreasing packet collision, packet loss ratio and power demand. It also increases the throughput and packet delivery ratio.

The adequacy of the judicial immunity of the diplomatic envoy in public international law
This study dealt with the issue of the efficiency of the judicial immunity of the diplomatic envoy in international law. This study aimed to study the legal framework for the judicial immunity of diplomatic missions under international law and evaluate the sources of diplomatic immunity for diplomatic missions and their efficiency. The importance of the study is to know the means of resolving disputes arising from the actions of a diplomatic envoy who enjoys judicial immunity, as they have special procedures and protocols, they are held accountable and punished according to the laws of their countries, considering the advantages of immunity. The problem of the study was represented in the contradiction between the powers of the judiciary and what is required by the requirements of the state's diplomatic job, and the state's sovereignty in imposing the jurisdiction of its courts on all individuals who committed crimes on its territory. In addition, the judicial immunity granted to the diplomatic envoy leads to a conflict between the harmony and compatibility between the envoy’s right to cling to diplomatic immunities and privileges, and the right of the state to protect its security from abusing the immunity presented to him, especially if the diplomat commits a crime on the territory of the country he is delegated to. The study adopted the analytical method in addition to the experimental process by conducting interviews with specialists in the field of study. The study reached several results, the most important of which is that diplomatic immunity is a fundamental pillar of international relations, by securing the best to carry out diplomatic functions and facilitating their sensitive tasks. In addition to securing its objectives based on managing the foreign affairs of international parties and strengthening their relations based on the principles and principles of equality and maintaining international peace and security. The study recommended the need to reconsider the 1961 Vienna Convention, especially with diplomatic relations, because this agreement came in response to the aspirations of the great powers after World War II

Detecting and predicting amorphous and ambiguous anti-patterns of RESTful URI schema toward improving its discovery
REpresentational State Transfer (RESTful) technology exposes services as resource invocations, which are identified by Uniform Resource Identifiers (URI). The URI forms RESTful indexing schemas that match resources to their provided services, which makes the resources addressable and have a simple map format. Since the URI schema is the primary resource of RESTful service information, it should be readable by the service requesters. Unfortunately, many RESTful suffer from linguistic antipattern problems such as Amorphous (AMURI) and Ambiguous (AWS) anti-patterns, which make RESTful URI schemas difficult to read and understand. Therefore, their opportunity of being discovered is reduced. This research improved the readability of URI schemas to increase their discovery by devising two techniques: (1) a detection technique that detects AMURI and AWS anti-patterns in the original URI schema and (2) a prediction technique that suggests suitable patterns to replace the detected antipatterns in the rebuilt URI schema. This study used the design science research process to accomplish its objectives. Two expert review evaluations were used to validate the accuracy of the techniques. The first expert review manually detected such antipatterns from sample sets of original URI schemas, while the second detected such anti-patterns from rebuilt sample sets. The findings suggested an acceptable level of accuracy for both techniques, with 87.86% of AMURI and AWS anti-patterns detection and 98.1% of tidy and representative patterns prediction. Six readability metrics were used to evaluate the performance of both techniques by comparing the metrics values for the original and rebuilt URI schemas. The results demonstrate that the techniques improved the readability of URI schemas by 84.25%. Hence, the proposed techniques could improve the corresponding RESTful discovery
Pembangunan kerangka kerja program pendidikan teknikal dan latihan vokasional oleh institut kemahiran awam dalam industri pembinaan di Malaysia
Each country approaches the implementation of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) differently. Despite differences in implementation, all TVET programs have the same overarching objective, namely to build the country by providing the best human resource services to meet economic and social needs. In addition to preparing individuals with vocational skills, TVET also imparts a wide range of knowledge, shapes and trains individuals with a positive attitude as well as equips individuals with skills necessary in the workplace and life. Based on the significance of TVET, this study was conducted to identify TVET characteristics of skills and good practices that are more practical in its implementation, which may lead to a more comprehensive TVET management framework for Public Skills Training Institutes (ILKA). 376 respondents, consisting of students and professional practitioners were used in this study. This research employed two methods of data collection, namely by gathering primary data from distributed questionnaires that were developed using secondary data obtained from data banks in libraries and on the internet. The study found that theory and practical skills are the most significant TVET program skills for student and lecturers. In terms of TVET good practices, the study found that consistent regulations and processes in the industry received the highest ratings from both students and lecturers. The results of the study also showed that skill characteristics have a moderate level of relationship with TVET good practices. The characteristics of skills also have a relationship with the TVET Management Model but at a significantly weak level. Additionally, good practices influence and have a significant relationship with the TVET Management Model, in keeping with the needs of the current construction industry in Malaysia. This study supports the findings of previous research and it is hoped that the findings will serve as a reference for future research related to the development of a more comprehensive TVET management framework to ensure that the ILKA management system is more organized and efficient
