This study examines Shariah, social, environmental, and governance (SSEG) disclosures in Malaysian Islamic banks from 2019 to 2023. Employing a qualitative exploratory approach with content analysis methodology, the research systematically evaluates annual reports from four institutions: Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB), Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB), Malaysia Building Society Berhad (MBSB), and Hong Leong Islamic Bank (HLISB). The primary objectives are to evaluate the corporate social responsibility (CSR) disclosure performance of these banks and to compare the differences in the use of phrases and graphical content in their disclosures. The findings indicate a significant trend towards enhanced transparency and a stronger commitment to social initiatives, particularly in the realms of Shariah compliance and governance. Moreover, the research contribute to the body of the literature by identifying critical gaps in environmental sustainability disclosures, suggesting that these banks have not adequately addressed their strategies and actions relating to environmental protection. This deficiency poses a challenge in aligning with global sustainability demands and highlights the need for improved accountability in environmental matters. Overall, the study underscores the evolving landscape of CSR practices among Islamic banks in Malaysia, reflecting both progress and areas requiring further development
The impact of technology, organization, environment towards organizational performance for big data adoption in Malaysia digital status companies
The rapid advancement of technology, driven by digitalization and Industry 4.0, has significantly transformed the global business landscape. This transformation has created both opportunities and challenges in managing the exponential growth of data, often referred to as Big Data. Despite various initiatives launched since 2014, the adoption of Big Data technologies in Malaysia remains low, with a significant gap in data expertise. This study explores the moderating role of training in the relationship between data quality management, data security, ease of use, and top management support, particularly within Malaysia's Global Business Services (GBS) sector. Data were collected from companies with Malaysia Digital Status within the GBS cluster, utilizing the Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework and the Resource-Based View (RBV) as the theoretical foundation. An online questionnaire distributed to companies in the GBS cluster resulted in 272 responses through simple random sampling. Due to a low response rate, convenience sampling was subsequently employed to ensure a sufficient sample size. Hypothesis testing was conducted using Smart PLS 4.1.0.0. The findings indicate that data quality management, ease of use, and top management support significantly influence organizational performance, while data security did not show a significant impact. Furthermore, training was found to significantly moderate the relationship between ease of use and organizational performance, although it did not significantly moderate the relationships between other variables and organizational performance. Failure to adopt Big Data can result in inaccurate decisions, reduced customer satisfaction, and the loss of competitive advantage. This study contributes to both theoretical and practical understanding by addressing a critical gap in Big Data adoption, emphasizing training as a key factor in improving ease of use and enhancing adoption outcomes, particularly in the Malaysian GBS sector. It also offers actionable insights for organizations aiming to leverage Big Data to enhance performance and competitiveness

Factors determining the adoption of automation in the last-mile delivery in Penang
Customer satisfaction, operational effectiveness, and service quality are all significantly impacted by last-mile delivery, the last phase of the logistics chain where products are delivered to ultimate customers. The swift expansion of e-commerce and rising urbanization in Penang, Malaysia, has intensified the demand for new solutions to improve last-mile operations. Automation technologies, including route optimization systems, autonomous delivery vehicles, and robotic handling equipment, present considerable promise to enhance speed, precision, and scalability in last-mile delivery operations. Nevertheless, the integration of automation in Penang's logistics sector is varying, necessitating a study of the factors which influence its acceptance. This study aims to examine the major factors influencing the adoption of automation in last-mile delivery operations across in Penang. The study analyses four key independent variable which is perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, regulatory restrictions, and workforce readiness. A quantitative methodology was used, and data were gathered using standardised questionnaires given to 147 logistics professionals. Its reliability was tested by a pilot test, with Cronbach’s alpha values surpassing the acceptable threshold for all constructs. Pearson correlation, multiple regression analysis, and descriptive statistics are used in the methodology to carry out the analysis. The findings show that the most important factors influencing the adoption of automation are workforce readiness and regulatory constraints, whereas perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, despite having a positive correlation, did not reach statistical significance in the regression model. These results highlight how crucial regulatory constraint and workforce readiness are to the success of adoption of automation. For logistics companies, policymakers, and technology providers looking to improve operational efficiency while enabling digital transformation in Penang's logistics sector, this study provides useful insight

The effectiveness of person-centered expressive art therapy on college students in reducing depression, anxiety and stress
Within the context of growing challenges with mental health among college students worldwide, mental health service centres in Chinese colleges mostly rely on standardised Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based on verbal communication. However, there is a lack of innovation in non-verbal intervention approaches, such as Person-Centred Expressive Art Therapy (PCEAT). This study applied a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) design to evaluate the effectiveness of PCEAT in reducing depression, anxiety and stress among Chinese college students. 100 Chinese college students who were experiencing depression, anxiety or stress were recruited for the study. The participants were stratified and randomly assigned to either the PCEAT experimental group (n = 50) or the CBT control group (n = 50). The Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21) was used to measure the level of mental health at pre-intervention, mid-intervention and post-intervention. Data analyses were conducted using SPSS 26.0. The results demonstrated significantly greater reductions in levels of depression, anxiety and stress in the PCEAT group compared to the CBT group after the intervention. The findings of this study supported the effectiveness of PCEAT as a non-verbal approach to improve mental health among Chinese college students, providing an alternative to conventional verbal-centric interventions. From a theoretical perspective, this study strengthens the foundation of PCEAT theory with empirical evidence through a quantitative methodology and a rigorous experimental design. From a practical perspective, the PCEAT-based intervention protocol has the potential to enhance the quality of services at Mental Health Centres in Chinese colleges and to expand the diversity of psychological intervention models that can be applied in the context of higher education
