The role of job demand, work environment and social support of psychological stress among medical assistants in Mental Institution
Healthcare workers, especially those working in the mental institutions, experience significant levels of stress, which can have a negative impact on their mental and physical health. They often encounter problems such as high job demands, trauma exposure, and stigma, which can lead to poor mental health, including symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder. Therefore, this study is conducted with the intention to capture factors that might influence psychological stress among medical assistants in mental institution. The study tested three independent variables namely, job demand, work environment, and social support against psychological stress. A total of 140 questionnaire were distributed online using Google form with response rate of 100%. In this study, hypotheses for direct relationhsip were tested using multiple regression analyses. Results showed that only job demand was positively related to psychological stress. The findings indicate that psychological stress tend to increase when they are facing with high workload and given shorter time to complete given task. Though, both work environment and social support were found significant in this study, it was in the opposite direction indicating that both of these factors tend to increase the psychological stress experience by the medical assistants. These findings provide new insight where on issues of psychological stress among medical assistants in mental institution in Malaysia on issues of psychological stress. The question of why having positive work environment and providing social support do not reduce the psychological stress experienced by the medical assistants in mental institution provide opportunity for future research to reconcile these explanation

This study recommends awareness and promotion programs that attract different classes of community members and improve Shari’a compliance and service quality
An enhance embedding method using edge and textures detection for image steganography
Embedding a secret image in steganography without causing distortion or detection is challenging due to image size constraints, which require compression. This compression can lead to content loss and makes the hidden data vulnerable to steganalysis. Current methods often struggle to adequately balance between embedding capacity, content integrity, and detection robustness, highlighting the need for improved steganography techniques. Therefore, this study propose a method that can balance concealment, image size, compression, robustness, and security in order to handle these challenges. The study aims to enhance image steganography techniques by using reversible color transformations and optimal area selection within image mosaics to resist statistical attacks. This method seeks to ensure secure and effective data concealment by identifying and utilizing noisy zones in images, making it more difficult for steganalysis tools to detect the embedded information. The study utilized differential operators and filters to detect edges and textures in images, where data embedding is less perceptible. The least significant bit (LSB) matching method was applied to embed secret information. The effectiveness of this approach was measured through Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio, Root Mean Square Error, and Structural Similarity Index Measure, with histogram analysis used to evaluate embedding capacity and method effectiveness. The findings reveal that the proposed method significantly enhances the robustness and security of image steganography, achieving an average Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 18.839 dB and a Structural Similarity Index of 0.647. By embedding in noisy zones using edge and texture detection which complicates feature extraction, making hidden information more secure and statistically less detectable than basic LSB matching techniques. The study contributes both theoretically and practically to the field of steganography by developing an innovative algorithm that enhances the security and robustness of image hidden data. It has practical applications in various fields such as intellectual property protection, secure communication, and cybersecurity. Future research could focus on integrating diverse steganographic methods to create even more robust solution
Production and perception of English consonants by Yemeni EFL learners of English
Few previous studies on perception-production correlations employed acoustic measurements to assess production accuracy; most used transcriptions and native- English speaker evaluations. This study investigates Yemeni EFL learners’ production and perception of six English consonants using acoustic assessment. It aims to examine the extent to which (six) phonological processes occur in Yemeni EFL adult learners’ production of the target consonants, to investigate the extent to which word position and gender affect the production and perception of the examined consonants, and to assess the extent to which the production of each target consonant correlates with its perception. Data was collected quantitatively from Yemeni postgraduates at six Malaysian public universities. The speakers produced seventy-two words with the target consonants three times in isolation and three times in a carrier sentence. The researcher analysed the speakers’ productions via Praat after recording them with a smartphone. In the perception test, an AXB experiment was conducted. The results showed that the most frequent phonological process in the speakers’ production was devoicing, followed by stopping, voicing, deaffrication, velarisation, and then palatalisation. Moreover, word position significantly affected overall correct production/perception, the total correct production of /v/ and /dʒ/, and the total correct perception of /p/, /ð/, and /dʒ/. Furthermore, gender significantly affected the correct production/perception of all sounds, except /ʤ/, which reached significance. Lastly, the Pearson correlation test revealed that the correlation was moderate between overall production and perception, and between /p/ and /ð/ production and perception, strong between /v/ production and perception, and weak between /θ/, /ʧ/, and /ʤ/ production and perception. Briefly, many factors can affect the correlation between L2-sound production and perception, including word position and gender, besides the L1-L2 degree of similarity, which may cause several phonological processes that create miscommunication in L2 among speakers. The findings have implications for L2 speech and pronunciation instruction
Improving stego key using extended-1 and extended-2 techniques of feature coding method in text steganography
This study focuses on implementing steganography in the text domain called text steganography. Many previous researchers utilize a method in text steganography called the feature coding method to conceal the hidden message based on the uniqueness of the letter in the text. It highlights some feature coding methods that are applied alphabet A-Z letters. However, the existences of technique in feature coding method are easily to recognize due the obvious group of letter pattern text in chosen hidden message. Therefore, the objective is to propose the feature coding of text steganography using binary bit representation. It chose specific group letter for the stego key that begins with identifying the scheme of this technique. Subsequently, this study develops an extension technique that adapts the existing techniques of feature coding method. The proposed extended technique consists of Extended-1 and Extended-2 techniques of feature coding method. It compares the existing and extended techniques feature coding that is evaluated using some parameters to assess performance of technique. The experimental results show that the Extended-1 technique has the highest capacity ratio performance, with 100% recall rate, 46.15%
F-measure rate, and 30% precision and accuracy rates. Meanwhile, the Extended-2 technique exhibits the highest robustness and security performance, achieving 100% performance for precision, recall, accuracy, and F-measure rates. The output of this study generates the extended technique in feature coding that is expected to contribute to the improvement of text steganography. For future work, the technique's utilization of feature coding method in artificial intelligence tools to enhance information security and also as a current trend in the IT field
Risk management for poultry farming industry in Kedah
The poultry farming sector faces many complex challenges, emphasising the need for a comprehensive model to assess and mitigate production risks. This study introduces an integrated framework that merges the Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to effectively identify, prioritise, and manage key production risks in poultry farming. The framework focuses explicitly on nutritional and management risks. AHP categorises risks by leveraging expert opinions to gauge their significance. Subsequently, two primary risks, nutritional and management risks, are selected based on AHP outcomes and used as inputs for the DEA model. The DEA model, utilising the Variable Return Scale (VRS) methodology, assesses the efficiency of poultry farms in Kedah by considering inputs such as nutritional and management practices and outputs such as net profit and poultry weight. The findings indicate that poultry farms in Kedah exhibit varying levels of efficiency, with many farms operating below optimal efficiency due to inadequate nutritional management and suboptimal farm practices. The results suggest that improvements in these areas could enhance farm performance and profitability, contributing to greater resilience against production risks. This research addresses the detrimental impact of increasing production risks on poultry production, financial risk, and farmer profitability. Leveraging a Python-based DEA analysis, the goal is to offer actionable insights for farmers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders, focusing on fostering sustainable practices and bolstering resilience against the challenges posed by production risks in the poultry sector. The findings of this research aim to contribute not only to the academic discourse but also to practical applications, striving to elevate the overall performance and sustainability of poultry farming practices in the face of dynamic and multifaceted challenges. Furthermore, this research contributes to achieving Sustainable development goals (SDGs) related to food security and hunger eradicatio
The impact of organisational innovativeness, entrepreneurial competencies and external environment on export performance of SMEs in Malaysia
Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are crucial to Malaysia’s economy as they contribute to gross domestic product, employment opportunities, and export performance. However, the export performance of SMEs is below the target set by the government. This study investigates the influence of organisational innovativeness (OI), entrepreneurial competencies (EC), and external environment (EE) on the export performance (EP) of SMEs in Malaysia. Systematic random sampling was used to select and collect data from 1,101 respondents listed in the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation directory. 133 usable data were analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). The results show that OI and EC have a significant influence on EP of SMEs. OI should be embedded as part of the processes in SMEs, and owner-managers should continuously enhance their competencies to improve EP. Furthermore, EE significantly moderates the relationship between EC and EP of SMEs in a negative direction. This shows how important it is for SMEs to check and monitor EE in international business to act proactively. The results helped advance empirical research on SMEs EP in a developing country by using the resource-based view (RBV) theory and the contingency theory (CT) as theoretical bases. SME exporters should focus on EE to improve their EP. SMEs should conduct OI activities to improve EP, while owner-managers need to assess and improve their EC. Government agencies can use the dimensions of EC as a basis for developing training modules and financial institutions can use them to assess the competencies of borrowers to increase the likelihood of business succes
