Kajian pola perbandingan kepimpinan Tun Dr Mahathir sebagai Perdana Menteri di era Barisan Nasional (BN) dan Pakatan Harapan (PH)
Dr Mahathir Mohamad was twice appointed as Prime Minister of Malaysia, the first time in 1981 and 2018 for the second time. The post of Prime Minister he held represented two different party coalitions, namely Barisan Nasional (BN), 1981-2003 for 22 years and Pakatan Harapan (PH) in 2018 at the helm for 22 months. This study aimed to examine differences in terms of effective leadership patterns between the two eras. For the purpose of obtaining appropriate data, two methods are used, namely bibliographic studies by reference to writing materials, documents, articles, journals, articles, papers and academy books with the aim of creating conceptual images and issues that form the basis of the analysis of the study discussion. The second method through face-to-face interviews using unstructured questions involved twelve study participants comprising five politicians, five civil servants and two leaders of nongovernmental organizations. The purpose of this method is to obtain supporting data on the effective leadership practices expressed by Dr Mahathir in both eras. The summary and results of the study found that Dr Mahathir's leadership effectiveness was at a higher level in his era of leading the government under the auspices of BN than during the PH era. This is due to the encouragement and contribution of five core factors, namely the full support of BN members and leadership, the consistent absolute victory by BN in the series of elections from 1986-1999, the support of civil servants who were together in Dr Mahathir's leadership mission, the use of sanctions and containment elements on political enemies, industrialisation policies and major economic structural changes that benefited the people. The end of the study also concludes that the effective leadership of the PH era failed to be translated by Dr Mahathir due to the constraints of age, time and ideological differences and goals among PH's own component parties thus leaving Dr Mahathir without full control to determine, direct and dominate as when he was in charge of the government under the previous BN governance. The implications cause in the era of PH the country and society to suffer losses in various fields

The retrieved data was analyzed using the statistical package of social science SPSS, and thus, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were executed to examine the significant effect between the study variables. Also, this study used both descriptive and inferential statistics to analyze data. This study revealed that, from factor analysis results, spiritual leadership is represented by altruistic love and hope while organizational trust is encompassed with three dimensions namely leader reliance, leader behavior, and harmony. The proliferation of violence in the ungoverned spaces : A study of bandits in Zamfara State, Nigeria
Since 2011, banditry has posed a significant security challenge in Zamfara state, resulting in substantial loss of life, rampant kidnapping for ransom, extensive property damage, and dire humanitarian conditions. Previous literature has examined banditry through the lense of material and business conflicts, focusing on issues such as the farmers-herdsmen conflict, criminality, and poverty. However, there remains a notable gap in empirical research regarding the role of sociocultural factors in the emergence of banditry within Zamfara state’s ungoverned spaces. Consequently, this study aims to examine the role of bandits’ identity, interests, and collective shared understanding in the emergence and escalation of banditry in the state. Employing comprehensive qualitative methods, including interviews and focus group discussions, the research seeks to gain deeper insights into the roles played by identity, interests, and collective shared understanding in the emergence and escalation of banditry in the state. The study employs a constructionist thematic analysis approach. Drawing on constructivist principles, the findings indicate that the emergence and escalation of banditry in Zamfara state were due to the influence of bandits’ identities, interests, and collective shared understanding. Their recurrent attacks stem from feelings of frustration, alienation, exclusion, and marginalization from mainstream society. These factors have shaped the development of bandits’ identity, interests, and collective shared understanding. Consequently, the state has experienced significant casualties, rampant kidnapping, extensive property destruction of properties, appalling humanitarian conditions, and a substantial breakdown in the social relations structure in the state. The study recommends gradually fostering confidence through efficient security measures while simultaneously rehabilitating the social relations structure to mitigate bandits’ frustration, alienation, exclusion, and marginalization in the state. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the need for further research into the broader cultural influences on the emergence, escalation, and management of banditry not only in Zamfara state but also across northwestern Nigeria

The study reveals a significant relationship between intention to use, information quality and satisfaction, with satisfaction playing a mediating role in the relationship between information quality, intention to use and system adoption. Furthermore, the study highlights the moderating effect of computer self-efficacy on intention to use, satisfaction, and system adoption. These findings contribute both theoretically and practically to the understanding and implementation of healthcare information system
