A framework of test case prioritisation in regression testing using particle swarm-artificial bee colony algorithm
Software modifications necessitate regression testing to address defects and verify functionality. Regression test case prioritisation (TCP) is used to revalidate modified software, ensuring its quality before release on the digital market. The TCP process involves optimising test cases by rearranging them effectively to achieve a performance goal, such as early fault detection. However, existing TCP frameworks lack reliability and suffer from efficiency and effectiveness issues, highlighting the necessity for a new multi-objective framework. The research’s primary objective is to construct a framework for prioritising test cases in regression testing using swarm intelligence that enhances test efficiency and effectiveness. This research employed a modified version of the Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM), streamlined into five stages: problem identification, theoretical study, framework development, evaluation, and reporting. The developed framework, grounded in fault-based testing theory, comprises three key components: inputs, prioritization factors, and a prioritization algorithm. The framework was subsequently verified and validated through expert reviews and experimental testing. Ten knowledge and domain experts provided positive feedback on the framework's verification, affirming the framework's robustness. Validation was conducted through three experiments involving four Java programs. The results demonstrated high effectiveness, with scores ranging from 93.91% to 99.51% on the scaled weighted average percentage of faults detected (APFD) metric. For efficiency, the study found that the execution time metric was at 1.53757 seconds. The primary theoretical contribution is the TCP framework, which is applied in the software testing industry. TCP factors and a weighted fitness function are also used for test case optimisation. The contributions of this study straddle research perspectives of enhancing Regression Testing with Particle Swarm-Artificial Bee Colony Algorithm, and practical perspectives by providing software testing practitioners the TCP framework that can facilitate and accelerate the production of high-quality software products by revealing faults early and reducing time, cost, and human efforts through automation
The influence of technological, organisational, and environmental factors on GSCM adoption among SMEs in Nigeria: The moderating effect of innovation capability
The rise in global competition has led businesses to adopt a more methodical approach to supply chain management, prompting them to re-evaluate the importance of green practices. Furthermore, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in developing nations face intense pressure to adopt Green Supply Chain practices to enhance their environmental and economic performance, as global resources diminish and environmental issues escalate. Therefore, this study examines the influence of Technological, Organizational, and Environmental (TOE) factors on adopting green supply chain management among SMEs in Nigeria. This study introduces innovation capabilities as a moderating variable to the TOE model in adopting Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) among SMEs in Nigeria. Random sampling was used to select the sample size from the total population. Out of the 575 questionnaires distributed, 386 were included in the final analysis. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM assessment. Seven hypotheses were tested using the measurement model and structural model. However, only six hypotheses received empirical support. Specifically, the findings revealed that the TOE factor is a predictive element for the effective adoption of GSCM among SMEs in Nigeria. Also, introducing innovation capability as a moderating effect enhances the relationship between technology, environmental and GSCM adoption. However, an organisational factor is not moderated by innovation capability. Therefore, the influence of TOE factors is essential in positively impacting GSCM adoption among SMEs in Nigeria. The role of innovation capability is important in creating alignment between TOE factors and GSCM adoption in Nigerian SMEs. The study is useful for stakeholders in Nigeria to be more environmentally sustainable in their operations. The study also helps the wholesale and retail sectors to be more proactive in its business operations. Finally, this study contributes to the limited literature and theories on the subject while providing new areas for future research
Keberkesanan kelab Malaysiaku dalam memperkukuhkan semangat jati diri dikalangan pelajar sekolah
As a developing nation, Malaysia emphasizes the creation of 'good citizens' imbued with high values of patriotism, notably through the National Service Training Program (PLKN) and the National Civics Bureau (BTN). However, following the 14th General Election (GE-14), the government decided to shut down PLKN and BTN, shifting the responsibility of fostering patriotism among the youth to other organizations. One such organization is Kelab Malaysiaku, established by the Department of Information in collaboration with the Ministry of Education to instill a sense of patriotism among school students. This study aims to identify the direction of school students in planning their future, evaluate the sense of patriotism among them in ensuring national development, and examine the role of Kelab Malaysiaku in shaping students with a strong national identity, specifically in the state of Perlis. Customer perceived benefits and customer citizenship behaviour in Pakistan airline industry : Mediating role of relationship quality and moderating role of conspicuous consumption
Research on customer citizenship behavior has received less attention in the airline industry, and studies investigating the importance of customer citizenship behavior are lacking. This study investigates the influence of (i) relationship quality on customer citizenship behavior, and (ii) customer perceived benefits on relationship quality in the Pakistani airline industry. Furthermore, the mediating role of relationship quality and the moderating role of conspicuous consumption in this relationship are also examined. Data collected from 360 passengers of Pakistani airlines through systematic sampling were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 3.3. The results reveal that customer citizenship behavior in the Pakistani airline industry is determined by relationship quality and customer-perceived benefits, such as functional benefits and relational benefits. Moreover, relationship quality partially mediates the relationship between functional benefits and customer citizenship behavior while it fully mediates the relationship between relational benefits and customer citizenship behavior. Additionally, conspicuous consumption moderates the relationship between relationship quality and customer citizenship behavior. This study makes a valuable contribution to the existing knowledge by utilizing social exchange theory as the underlying framework and incorporating the theory of conspicuous consumption as a supporting theory to examine the direct impact of customer-perceived benefits, the mediating role of relationship quality, and the moderating role of conspicuous consumption in the Pakistan airline industry within a single framework. Managers and decision-makers in the airline industry should prioritize the enhancement of customer-perceived benefits by providing functional benefits and relational benefits to create a positive customer experience, foster customer loyalty, and nurture long-lasting relationships with customers. By understanding these dynamics, managers can make informed decisions to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, ultimately leading to business growth and succes
Factors influencing international tourists’ decision to revisit Jordan as a MICE destination
The failure of many developing countries such as Jordan in obtaining profit from the tourism industry, actually stems from the lack of understanding on the factors that influence the international tourists’ intention to revisit the country especially in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism segment. In order to narrow this knowledge gap, this study aims to examine the causal association between push factors, namely networking opportunities (NO) and educational opportunities (EO), and the pull factors which include destination image (DI), travel cost (TC), destination attraction (DA), and accessibility (AC) with revisit intention (RI) among international MICE tourists in Amman, Jordan. This study also examines the moderating effects of safety and security (S/S) and travel experience (TE) on these relationships. A quantitative research method with deductive approach was employed in this study. Data were collected through survey method where 600 survey questionnaires were distributed to international MICE tourists who have attended 12 international MICE events held in Amman, Jordan. 479 survey questionnaires were valid for further analysis. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLSSEM) was utilised to test the hypotheses. The results indicate a positive and significant relationship between push factors (NO and EO), and pull factors (DI, TC, DA, AC), with revisit intention. The analysis also reveals that safety and security (S/S) significantly moderates the relationship between NO, EO, TC, and revisit intention. In contrast, S/S does not moderate the relationship between DI, DA, AC and revisit intention. Meanwhile, TE significantly moderates the relationships between EO, DI, DA and revisit intention. In contrast, TE does not moderate the relationship between NO, TC, AC and revisit intention. The study's findings highlight the significance of push and pull factors, safety and security, and travel experience, with revisit intention within the MICE tourism context. This study suggests that understanding these essential factors and managing them effectively may help improve international MICE tourists’ decisions to revisit the destinations in the future. Furthermore, this study contributes new knowledge to the field of MICE tourism in Jordan and the Middle East at large. The determinants and consequences of tourist satisfaction with mobile travel apps
Travel-related apps are aimed at tourists, millennials, travelers, and travel companies. These apps allow travelers to book accommodations, tours, and flights, regardless of the time of day. Tourists use mobile travel apps to make decisions about their trips. The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has made mobile applications a part of everyday life. However, there is a dearth of research on the continued use of mobile apps in developing countries like Pakistan. This study investigates the influence of service quality, system quality, information quality, perceived trust, perceived usefulness, and expectation confirmation on tourists’ satisfaction with mobile travel apps in Pakistan. In addition, the moderating effect of compatibility on this relationship is also investigated. A quantitative research design with systematic probability sampling in a systematic intercept survey was employed. Data from 479 tourists visiting northern Pakistan were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) via Smart-PLS 3. The results reveal that system quality is the most important predictor of tourists’ satisfaction with mobile apps. System quality, service quality, information quality, perceived trust, expectation confirmation, and perceived usefulness directly increase tourist satisfaction, which leads to a continued use intention of mobile travel apps. Furthermore, compatibility significantly moderates the relationship between system quality, perceived usefulness, and tourists’ satisfaction with mobile travel apps. Travel app designers and travel managers should make decisions and design the app to take into account the aspects that tourists most value. In terms of theoretical implications, the present research applies the expectation confirmation theory and the information system success model in the proposed framework and discovers significant relationships between the variables. Another important discovery concerns the significant moderating effects ofcompatibility in these relationship
