Perbandingan pemilihan kata dan analisis semantik inkuisitif dalam lirik dan aspek muzikal antara lagu dangdut di Malaysia dan Indonesia
Music is a medium of approaching society through its composers who play the role of messengers so as to create certain responses in humans. This phenomenon can be felt through psychological responses and human behavior when listening to songs. This shows the manifestation of the songwriter's own thoughts to give birth to philosophical values, reason and wisdom through song art. Casual study research on song lyric data involving words is generally found to tend to be superficial and ignore the importance of the musical aspects that accompany it. To reach the true manifestation of the songwriter's thoughts inquisitively by exploring holistically the data conceptualized as 'song lyrics', a detailed and systematic study was conducted on a total of 872 pieces of dangdut songs in Malaysia and Indonesia throughout the era (60s-2000s). The choice of dangdut song genre in this study was driven by the strength of the song's presentation, which is correlated to the realities of people's lives. From the overall findings of the song lyrics data obtained, as many as 112,529 (tokens) and 13,591 types of word frequency (types) have been identified through the corpus database. All data information was categorized into three (3) types of words, namely Name Words (KN), Verbs (KK) and Adjectives (KA) using ATLAST ti application. The musical aspect data was also analyzed and clarified in terms of the type of instrument and the ability to stimulate the musical texture (tempo and tone scale) that underlies each dangdut song composition to the listener. The results of the analysis of word types led to the discovery of implicit/abstract words that collocated with them and were explored in depth using an Inquisitive Semantic approach by Nor Hashimah Jalaluddin (2014). Additional inquisitive information through the division of musical aspects has also helped to strengthen the analysis of song lyrics holistically. The overall result of the study through both aspects analyzed has been able to highlight the true manifestation of the thoughts of dangdut songwriters. This study is also expected to open up opportunities for scholars in the field of linguistics to explore every perspective of language use in the context of song lyrics so that it can be explained systematically, authentically and reliably
Impact of operational human resource management and artificial intelligence on retaining talented employees in the ministry of interior at Abu Dhabi-UAE
Over the past two decades, the study of human resource management and its impact on both organizations and individuals has garnered significant attention within academic research, particularly within the realm of management practices. The main objective of this research endeavour is to examine the impact of various operational functions of
Human Resource Management (HRM), including employee recruitment, training and development, compensation, employee integration, maintenance, and motivation, as well as the adoption of artificial intelligence, on employee retention within the Ministry of
Interior, Abu Dhabi. The proposed theoretical framework of this study encompasses an analysis of five independent variables, namely employee recruitment, training and development, compensation, employee integration, retention, and motivation, which are recognized as crucial operational functions of HRM. Additionally, this study incorporates one dependent variable, namely employee retention, and one moderating variable, which pertains to the adoption of technology and artificial intelligence. In total, the research presents 11 hypotheses, each focusing on a specific relationship within the conceptual framework. To accomplish the study's objective, a cross-sectional survey design was employed, targeting civil servants affiliated with the
Ministry of Interior in Abu Dhabi. The survey sample encompassed 366 employees, representing a fraction of the total workforce of 7,500 individuals employed at the ministry. Out of the 471 questionnaires distributed, the final analysis was based on the feedback received from 371 employees. The findings revealed that the combined influence of the five independent variables accounted for a substantial 74.4% of the variance observed in the employee retention. Based on the obtained results, all independent variables exhibit statistically significant
positive effects. The precedence of the five relationships, based on the path coefficient values, is as follows: compensation holds the highest value (0.195), followed by employee recruitment (0.191), maintenance and motivation (0.165), employee integration (0.163), and training and development (0.116). Regarding the moderating effect of the adoption of artificial intelligence, it was observed that there are two relationships deemed unacceptable for both employee recruitment and maintenance and motivation. Their impact ranking is as follows: training and development takes the first place (0.094), followed by employee integration (0.085), and compensation (0.070) holds the third position. These research findings hold valuable implications for public sector
management, highlighting the significance of recruitment beyond salary considerations. From a theoretical perspective, the study provides robust evidence supporting the applicability of the resource-based view theory in the public sector, while emphasizing the need to incorporate variables related to technology and AI adoption in management studies. Future research endeavours could replicate this study in diverse contexts to compare results and introduce additional variables, thereby enhancing the predictive capacity of the conceptual framework
Enhancing strategic planning in the UAE public sector: the impact of business intelligence and technological capabilities
The main objective of this study is to investigate the impact of business intelligence and technological competencies on strategic planning in the UAE public sector. The problem of the study was represented in the problems and obstacles faced by the UAE public sector within the framework of the process of benefiting from modern tools such as business intelligence, specifically business reports and inquiries, business perspectives, business performance management, and the development of technological competencies. This specifically focuses on the acquisition of technology and analytical skills, so that this sector becomes able to play the role that is required for the success of the strategic planning process in the UAE public sector institutions. The study adopted quantitative approach and made use of statistical evaluation based on detailed solutions and techniques of variance, covariance, correlation and regression. A questionnaire was created from previous literary works and modified to match the study conditions. The study population comes from the employees of the
various departments working in the UAE public sector, and this consists, according to the Federal Center for Competitiveness and Statistics, around (1500) employees. The target sample size is 306, but the valid data set for analysis was 329 questionnaires. The model can explain 70% of the change in the dependent variable, which is strategic
management planning (SMP) in public sector institutions, which reflects a clear impact size that answers the research questions about the extent of the impact of business intelligence (BI) and technological competencies (TC) through their different dimensions, namely, Business Reports and Inquiries (BRQ), Business Perspectives (BV), Business Performance Management (BPM), Technology Acquisition (TA), and Analytical Skills (AS) on Strategic Management Planning (SMP) in UAE public sector organizations. The study recommended conducting similar studies in other places such as other emirates or neighbouring countries. The study also recommended conducting
similar studies using different methodology such as qualitative approach, which may infer additional variables that may not have been included in the current research
Impact of procurement category management on supply chain performance
Fostering supply chain resilience and sustainability is crucial for India's industries, however, traditional procurement practices often impede efficiency. Although procurement category management (PCM) practices are effective, its impact on supply chain performance (SCP) in Indian companies remains uncertain. This study aims to investigate PCM practices and their influence on SCP in Indian companies. It proposes an empirical research model designed to enhance SCP in non-financial industrial sectors, with a focus on organization strategic capability (OSC). OSC acts as a mediator in the relationship between PCM and SCP. Furthermore, this study considered eight PCM practices, two OSC measures, and three SCP measures. Four main hypotheses were developed to test the interrelationships between PCM, OSC and SCP. The study was a cross-sectional study, employing the survey methodology, conducted in India. The data obtained from 389 returned questionnaires was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results of the SEM analyses indicated that measures of PCM were positively and highly correlated among themselves, thus suggesting that the measures were interdependent. Meanwhile, the relationship findings support that PCM has significant positive impacts on both OSC and SCP. In other words, PCM improves SCP both directly and indirectly through OSC as the mediator. In conclusion, this empirical study provides insights into the interrelationships between PCM, OSC, and SCP. The distinctiveness of this study is that the performance was higher when PCM mediated through OSC. Finally, this study recommends adoption of comprehensive PCM practices are essential to enhance the overall SCP, stressed the importance of OSC’s contribution to the supply chain professionals and policy makers across Indian industrial sectors

Work stress is a situation that puts pressure on the physical, mental and emotional as well as the health of employees, thus affecting the quality of work, especially in the health sector in Malaysia. Most workers in the health sector have work pressure throughout the day, especially involving many emergency cases that affect the mental and physical, thus well-being in interpersonal relationships at work. This study aims to measure the level of work stress factors, analyze the relationship between workload factors and work stress, analyze the relationship between role conflict factors and work stress and analyze the relationship between interpersonal relationship factors and work stress among Assistant Medical Officers. The approach of this study is quantitative by using the method of distributing questionnaires to 130 Assistant Medical Officers. The study data was analyzed with SPSS statistical system software (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 27.0. The analysis of this study focuses on descriptive tests and interpretation of research data (frequency, percentage, score value, standard deviation), correlation tests and regression tests. The results of the study found through the descriptive analysis test that the highest score value is on the Work load construct is N=l30, Mean M= 2.22, SD=.588, followed by Role conflict N=l30, mean value M=2.17, SD=. 606 at a low level. The findings of this study also found that the Interpersonal relationship item N=l30, mean M=3.21 , SD= .391 is moderate. On the whole it shows that Work Pressure has a value of N=l30, mean value M= 2.54, SD= .470. As for the correlation test, the analysis of this study found that the relationship between workload and role conflict has a correlation value ofr= .749**, Sig= .000, p > .005. While the relationship between conflict and interpersonal relationships shows a value of r= .478**, sig= .000. Next, the correlation value of the relationship between workload and interpersonal relationships has a correlation value ofr= .461 **, Sig= .000, p > .005. A regression test was performed and found a significant difference in the work stress factor score among Assistant Medical Officers was (F=68.537; p<0.05), sig .000b. The results of the study found the value of R= .978 a, , R Square = .957, and Std =.09858. Overall, work stress factors among Assistant Medical Officers are at a moderate level and have an influence between workload, role conflict and interpersonal relationships at a low level. The relationship between work stress and workload and role conflict shows to be at a good and significant level while work stress and interpersonal relationships are at a good and significant data level. The impact of this study also shows that the respondents can independently control the work pressure and are still in a moderately good condition, so they should be nurtured with positive and dynamic qualities in the environment of an organization. Therefore, cooperation from the government also refines the workload of assistant medical officers by ensuring that they have good rest and free time for their own well-being in order to motivate them to work
Antecedents of continuance intention among youth in utilising monorail service
The continued usage of monorail services among youth in promoting sustainable public transit presents significant challenges to transportation planners as their engagement remains inconsistent, potentially undermining long-term sustainability goals. This issue is particularly critical in urban areas where efficient public transit is essential for reducing traffic congestion, lowering carbon emissions, and promoting economic development. This study examines the interrelationships between brand trust, perceived usefulness, convenience usage, and youth's continuance intention to use monorail services. Additionally, it investigates the moderating effect of personal innovativeness on these relationships. A quantitative research design was employed in this study. Data collected from 388 Malaysian youth using monorail services was analyzed using multiple regression analysis via SPSS 29.0. The findings reveal a positive and statistically significant relationship between perceived usefulness, convenience usage, and the likelihood of youth continuing to use monorail services. Contrary to expectations, brand trust showed an insignificant relationship. Further investigation into the moderating effect of personal innovativeness on these relationships indicates that it does not exert significant moderating effects on youth's continuance intention to use monorail services. Transportation authorities and urban planners should develop effective, targeted strategies that enhance perceived value and convenience to foster youth's intention to continue using monorail services. They would gain valuable insights into increasing youth engagement with sustainable public transportation options. This study integrates the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) into a unified proposed research framework and examines the linkages between brand trust, perceived usefulness, convenience usage, and youth's continuance intention to use monorail services, including the moderating role of personal innovativeness in the Malaysian context. This research highlights the role of individual traits in youth's decisions to keep using monorail service

Pembentukan model pembangunan bandar pendidikan berasaskan konsep wakaf: Kajian di Padang Terap
Education waqf has been implemented in Malaysia through the waqf of land, buildings, cash, facilities, equipment, and intangible assets to educational institutions. However, this practice has not completely resolved the financial constraints of this institution, despite the critical importance of developing the education sector, particularly the Islamic education. Therefore, this study aims to achieve three main objectives: (i) identifying suitable concepts and practice of waqf for the education city development; (ii) identifying issues and challenges in the education city development in Padang Terap; and (iii) developing a model for the education city development based on the waqf concept. This study employs qualitative methods to collect data through document analysis and semi-structured interviews. Document analysis includes reviewing past studies, legal documents, and Sharia-related documents. Semi-structured interviews are conducted with waqf institution officials, Sharia and Islamic finance experts, implementing bodies, and corporate members. Data from the study was analysed using content analysis to identify themes relevant to the research objectives. The findings indicate that cash waqf, land or building waqf, dividends, and shares are suitable concepts and can be effectively implemented in the corporate sector. Challenges identified include funding availability for development, formulation of corporate waqf packages, local authority approval processes, and concentration of trust management under the Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Kedah (MAIK), land ownership restrictions, as well as perceptions and trust of waqf donors. A practical model for education city development has been formulated, considering legal, Sharia, sustainability, and field feasibility. The model guides policymakers and waqf institutions in planning education city development based on the waqf concept. Currently implemented in Padang Terap, this project aims to yield economic benefits for local communities, promoting sustainable development of the Islamic education sector and the Ummah
The relationship between cultural norms, interdependent self-construal, perceived cooperative communication, and interaction goals: A study of Malaysia-China international business negotiations
Since diplomatic relations between Malaysia and China began in 1974, China has been a trading partner to Malaysia, and starting in 2008, Malaysia has become China’s main trading partner. In this regard, the business collaborations between Malaysia and China have increased, and thus, there will be more frequent communication between the two parties. It is through communication that the two parties build relationships to gain trust, understand each other’s needs, and reach mutual agreements. Therefore, the main aim of this study is to examine the relationship between cultural norms, interdependent self-construal, perceived cooperative communication, and interaction goals in the context of Malaysia-China international business negotiations. The GLOBE model is the main model used in this study. It is supported by two theories, which are face-negotiation theory and similarity-attraction theory. This study was conducted based on the GLOBE model’s nine cultural dimensions. Respondents of this study were Malaysian and Chinese businesspeople that involved in Malaysia-China international business negotiations. The results show that cultural norms, interdependent self-construal, and perceived cooperative communication lead to positive interaction goals (negotiation outcome), confirming the use of the GLOBE model, face-negotiation theory, and similarity-attraction theory that are being used to explain the findings. This study also shows interdependent self-construal mediates the relationship between cultural norms and interaction goals. The findings also reveal that perceived cooperative communication mediates the relationship between interdependent self-construal and interaction goals, highlighting the crucial role of perceived cooperative communication as an essential factor in achieving interaction goals and negotiation outcomes. The outcomes of this study contribute to having effective communication and negotiation between Malaysia and China on the global stage. The model of this study can be referred to as a guideline for business people who are interested in business ventures in Malaysia and China
Driving factors for rice farmers productivity in Abia State, Nigeria
Crop production management is a critical global issue, particularly in developing countries like Nigeria where agriculture is the largest contributor to food, employment opportunities and foreign earning. While total rice productivity in Nigeria has increased over the years, rice farmers have struggled to meet the demand since 2016, as consumption has outpaced production, leading to a rise in rice imports. Several factors contributed to this productivity challenge. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between access to credit, new technology, government policy, and climate change as factors influencing the productivity of rice farmers. This study employs a quantitative research design, and it focuses on rice farmers in Abia State. Data were collected from 379 respondents through a structured questionnaire distributed via email using a simple random sampling technique. Hypotheses were analyzed using correlation coefficients with the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The findings indicate a positive but non-significant relationship between credit availability and rice productivity. Additionally, there is insignificant correlation between new technology and rice productivity. Furthermore, there is a positive but insignificant relationship between government policy and rice productivity. However, a negative relationship exists between climate change and rice productivity. The government may use the results of this study as a basis for implementing effective policies aimed at increasing the productivity of rice farmers and also understand more on easy credit accessibility options from financial institutions. Additionally, the demographic perspectives gained from this study will assist future researchers in understanding the credit options available to rice farmers and their productivity levels
