Pembinaan indeks jenayah curi kenderaan dengan pendekatan berbilang kriterium dalam persekitaran kabur

    Get PDF
An index is a measure of the performance of a situation that displays the value of the final score resulting from a combination of several criteria values mathematically. The existing index of vehicle theft is built on the assumption that all criteria are equally important and based on numerical data only without considering ambiguity aspect, particularly the causes of the crime. Moreover, there was no decision-makers involvement to assess the level of contribution of criminal criteria based on their knowledge and experience. Therefore, this study developed an improved InJeCK by considering the fuzziness. InJeCK also involves decision-makers in determining the degree of importance of vehicle theft crime criteria, in addition to numerical data analysis obtained from related agencies. The subjective weights in this study utilized Z-numbers through the level of contribution of the criteria evaluated in the representation of two triangular fuzzy numbers. Objective weights used the degree of uncertainty through entropy measurements. These two weights were aggregated to form an aggregated weight that balances the weaknesses of both subjective and objective weights. Next, InJeCK was computed based on the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) to rank 82 areas in Peninsular Malaysia. InJeCK values were visualized using color maps to be more informative. The results show that the criteria of car theft, higher education and unemployment are the three most influential criteria in vehicle theft crime based on the aggregated weights. The InJeCK values show that Kuala Lumpur is the riskiest area for vehicle theft cases. This study has contributed to the field of multi-criteria decision-making by considering fuzzy environment in the development of vehicle theft crime index. Besides, the findings of the study can also assist those involved in curbing vehicle theft in particular and property crime in general

Waqf education is a unique model and an innovation of the Islamic social finance system. It is considered a promising platform to overcome economic inequality and enhance the wellbeing of the people in many areas, including socio-economic, education, and health. Therefore, it is necessary to analyse the underlying factors that can influence waqf education contribution among the public. This research summarises the findings of a survey on the determinant’s factors of waqf education contribution intention from the perspective of Malaysian Polytechnic’s staff. The empirical factors found were attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioural control, knowledge, and religiosity. Malaysian Premier Polytechnic were chosen as research population namely Polytechnic Premier Ungku Omar, Polytechnic Premier Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah (PSA) and Polytechnic Premier Ibrahim Sultan (PIS). A survey was conducted and data from 180 respondents from various backgrounds received. An analysis was carried out to test the relationship in between independent variables as well as leaning variables. The analysis was conducted using non-parametric tests namely Mann Whitney U-Test and Kruskal Wallis H-Test. Based on the obtained results, it is suggested that all independent variables, namely attitude, subjective norms, perceived behaviour control, knowledge, and religiosity, have significant relationships with the intention to contribute waqf education. In the conclusion, the author suggests several ideas for progressing waqf education in Malaysia

The Ministry of Education (MOE) in Oman provides many in-service training opportunities to teachers in all subject areas. One of the educational institutions that provide teacher training programs in this country is the Specialised Institute for Professional Training of Teachers. This study investigates trainees’ perceptions of factors influencing the quality of mathematics teacher training programmes (context, administration, training design, training content, facilities, trainer’s competencies, trainees’ characteristics, delivery, trainer’s follow-up, and feedback, and perceived outcomes). This qualitative case study is guided by the CAIPO (Context, Administration, Input, Processes, and Outcomes) training evaluation model. Mathematics trainee teachers from public schools in the first and second cohorts at the SIPTT were recruited as research subjects. Twelve individual semi-structured interviews were conducted among 433 Mathematics trainee teachers from public schools in the first and second cohorts at the SIPTT who attended the programme. Data were analysed through coding and thematic analysis. The trustworthiness of the findings was enhanced by triangulation, quotes from participants, data recording, and member checking. The participants indicated that the Mathematics teachers training program was of quality in terms of supportive school environment and professional learning communities in the context theme, training design, training content, facilities, trainer’s competencies, trainees’ characteristics in the input theme, delivery, trainer’s follow-up and feedback in the process theme, and perceived positive outcomes. They also reported several policies and procedures challenges in the administration theme. This study advances existing research by determining key indicators of training programme quality using CAIPO’s training evaluation model. Practically, the findings provide decision-makers at the MOE in Oman with important insights on how to improve educational training programme quality, especially for mathematics teachers. Future research could consider the investigation of other factors in Omani school environment to identify its role in influencing SIPTT training quality

    Get PDF
The research is to study what is the Critical Success Factor (CSF) that makes a Multinational Company (MNC) in Malaysia successfully deploys Lean Six Sigma 4.0 (LSS 4.0) for its business excellence. The study examines the three major categories and their CSFs to assess what are the most important factors that succeed in the deployment. The CSFs are grouped into three major categories and apply the Fuzzy Analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to analyze the collected data from 30 internal practitioners and consultants. This research revealed that the management initiative category is important in the LSS deployment, followed by involvement and engagement, which involves various parties in the transformation process. In contrast, technology and knowledge are the least critical category. The important CSFs are customer focus, communication, and understanding of the tools and techniques. This research further explores the adoption of IR4.0 in the LSS framework, which is named LSS 4.0, though the result shows it is the least important factor. The study disclosed that CSF prioritization varies by job function; it might depend on the subject’s job requirements and working environment. This research guides managers in semiconductor industries on continuous improvement deployment and transformation by integrating LSS and IR4.0 to plan and design the framework with the important CSFs. It shares the deployment strategy of respective important CSFs in the company as a reference and proposed a guideline for the execution of different CSFs
