EFEKTIVITAS PENGGUNAAN MULTI CHAMBER ARRESTER (MCA) PADA PENYULANG SALEWANGAN ULP MAROS
n the care of PT PLN (Persero) ULP Maros, one of the repositories that often trips due to lightning is the Salewangan Feeder. It was recorded that in 2021 and 2022, lightning-induced disturbances occurred 12 times and 8 times, respectively, with 65% of the disturbances occurring in the Recloser Pemuda Section. Even though they already have lightning protection such as lightning arresters that channel fault currents to the ground, in reality, component damage due to lightning disturbances in the distribution system still often occurs, so PT PLN (Persero) ULP Maros installs more protection equipment in the section, namely the Multi Chamber Arrester (MCA) which uses new innovations by throwing fault currents into the air. The effectiveness of using MCA is simulated in Matlab Simulink 2016 using a metal oxide type arrester with consideration of the same characteristics in both types of protection equipment. The results of the simulation show that the effectiveness of the MCA in protecting the distribution system is influenced by 2 things, which are: the distance between the fault point and the location of the installed MCA and the impulse size of the lightning strike that strikes the network. The MCA on the Salewangan Feeder is only effective in protecting the same section as the location of the installed MCA with a percentage of the fault current discharged into the air of 88% of the MCA capability which is around 4090 A - 4439 A with a maximum lightning strike impulse of 40 kV
Nursing Students' Narrative Text Writing Improvement with Animation Video
The purpose of this study was to determine if the animation video can enhance students' narrative writing skills at Universitas Borneo Tarakan. This research employed Classroom Action Research as its methodology (CAR). In this study, there were 21 of the sample. An observation checklist, an interview, and a writing test were used in this study. In this study, there were two success criteria. First, students should get at least a 75.0 on their writing assignments. Second, class participation and instructor engagement must both total 80. In this study, the researcher did the analysis of the data using a combination of different methods. Quantitative data analysis was used to evaluate the results of the written tests, while qualitative data analysis was used to evaluate the results of the observation checklist and interviews. This study found that the use of animated videos led to a rise in students' writing scores between the first and second cycles of instruction. Attendance at the first meeting was 33%, and at the second it was at 57%. The attendance rates for the first and second meetings of the second cycle were 52% and 76%, respectively. The outcome of the observation checklist demonstrates the improvement, which can also be seen for itself. Based on the checklist of observable behaviors, it was clear that the training had been effective. From what we can gather from the interviews, using animation videos in the classroom is beneficial and makes both teachers and students happy. The results of this study suggest that having students practice their writing skills with the aid of animated videos can help them achieve better results
Monitoring the Condition of the 20 kV Switching Substation in the Tual Rayon Saumlaki Area
A 20 kV cubicle is a set of electrical equipment installed in a distribution substation as a distributor, circuit breaker, connector, controller, and protection system for the 20 kV voltage power distribution. The frequent issue in these cubicles is corona discharge on electrical equipment, which is a phenomenon occurring when the air around conductors or conductive materials becomes ionized, resulting in the release of charges that can lead to insulation failure in the equipment. The consequences are severe as it can damage the equipment inside the cubicle and cause power losses. This research analyzes the influence of humidity, temperature, sound, and light conditions inside the cubicle to identify the symptoms of corona discharge in the 20 kV cubicle and its accessories. Plucker Machine Design on Halal Mobile Poultry Slaughterhouse (MPSH) Prototype
Mobile Poultry Slaughterhouse Halal (MPSH) is a mobile facility designed to carry out the process of slaughtering chickens in accordance with halal principles in the Islamic religion. Making a prototype of this tool aims to test the functionality of a system or product. The machine development designed in this research uses a drive (transmission) as a combination of pulley and v-belt. The reason for using a drive system as a pulley and v-belt is that it feels easier and more efficient in the work process. This research aims to analyze the calculation of pulley and v-belt sizes suitable for the plucker machine that was developed. This research uses an experimental design method, namely carrying out measurements, observations, and calculations of the technical specifications of the machine, then analyzing the data to obtain an idea of the machine's performance, which ultimately can provide an idea of the suitability of the machine. The research results obtained: (1) pulley sizes 100 mm and 175 mm in diameter, made from ST37 steel. (2) Required v-belt length = 1,253.95 mm. (3) V-belt axis distance = 426.25 mm. (4) The circumferential speed of the driving pulley vP = 10.99 m/s. (5) The circumferential force that arises Frate = 111.37 N. (6) The number of belts used is 1 belt
Rekayasa Migitasi Kebocoran Gas LPG dengan Sistem Monitoring Telegram Bot Berbasis Internet of Things (IoT)
Implementasi gas LPG rumah tangga setelah program konversi pemerintah dari minyak tanah sukses dilaksanakan masih menyisakan permasalahan tinggi resiko penggunaan gas LPG ini melalui kasus-kasus kebocoran gas menimbulkan ledakan dan kebakaran dengan korban yang cukup besar. Mengingat mobilitas manusia semakin meningkat dan menuntut sistem keamanan yang terjamin maka dalam hal penggunaan gas LPG ini diperlukan suatu sistem keamanan sebagai migitasi dini pencegahan terjadinya kebocoran dan ledakan pada tabung gas LPG yang secara realtime dapat memberikan notifikasi tanda peringatan adanya kebocoran gas. Fokus penelitian ini adalah membuat sistem cerdas pendeteksian kebocoran gas LPG menggunakan sensor MQ-6 yang berbasis teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) terhubung dengan Telegram Bot sebagai pengirim notifikasi peringatan kepada pemilik, serta ditambahkan dengan sistem monitoring langsung melalui CCTV yang dapat digunakan sebagai monitoring keadaan dapur rumah tangga. Metode pengujian alat ini dilakukan melalui implementasi sensor MQ-6 pada blok operasi mikrokontoler ESP32 sehingga makin memudahkan pengiriman data berupa notifikasi pesan ke Telegram dan integrasi pemantauan langsung lewat CCTV. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem alat bekerja dengan optimal dan efisien dengan jarak uji deteksi hingga 30 cm dan hasil rata-rata waktu respon 12 detik. Keywords: Kebocoran Gas, Sensor MQ-6, NodeMCU ESP32, CCTV, Internet of Thing
Analisa Penempatan Distributed Generation (DG) dan Kapasitor Bank pada IEEE 118-Bus Sistem Distribusi Radial
Industri kelistrikan mengalami perkembangan pesat yang mendorong upaya peningkatan kualitas daya listrik untuk memastikan operasi sistem tenaga yang handal dan efisien. Namun, seringkali sistem distribusi menghadapi masalah yang menyebabkan rugi-rugi daya yang tinggi dan kualitas daya yang buruk bagi konsumen. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pengujian pada sistem distribusi radial dengan 118-Bus. Setiap bus mengalami peningkatan beban sebesar 20%, sementara bus 50, 74, dan 111 mengalami peningkatan beban tiga kali lipat. Selain itu, dilakukan perbaikan dengan menambahkan dua unit pembangkit 300 kW dan dua unit kapasitor 150 kVAr. Simulasi dilakukan menggunakan aplikasi ETAP untuk menganalisis dampak dari peningkatan beban dan perbaikan yang dilakukan. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan pada kasus A yaitu kondisi awal dengan pembebanan sesuai IEEE 118-Bus Sistem Distribusi Radial, total pembebanannya adalah 22.709,72 kW dan 17.041,068 kVAr dan terjadi rugi daya sebesar 55,3 kW dan 42,2 kVAr. Lalu pada kasus B yaitu kondisi beban ditingkatkan, total pembebanannya adalah 27.251,664 kW dan 20.449,282 kVAr serta rugi daya yang dihasilkan sebesar 193,2 kW dan 139.3 kVAr. Sedangkan pada kasus C yaitu kondisi perbaikan dimana pada kondisi ini dilakukan perbaikan sistem dengan total pembebanan sama dengan kasus B, setelah di lakukan perbaikan rugi daya yang dihasilkan turun menjadi 188,7 kW dan 136,2 kVA
Rancang Bangun Support and Roll Feeder Steel Plate pada Mesin Laser Cutting
Abstrak: Perusahaan fabrikasi merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak pada pembuatan komponen dengan menggunakan mesin laser cutting. Saat ini perusahaan fabrikasi mengalami kesulitan dalam memenuhi permintaan customer dikarenakan waktu produksi yang cukup lama. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada proses produksi tersebut dikarenakan saat ini proses memposisikan pelat dilakukan masih menggunakan metode yang manual, yaitu mengangkat lembaran pelat dan diletakkan pada mesin laser cutting sehingga dari segi waktu masih kurang efisien dan kurang optimal pada saat proses produksi secara massal, sedangkan produk yang dihasilkan juga memiliki tingkat kepresisian yang rendah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, dalam penelitian ini dilakukan rancang bangun mesin steel plate roll feeder pada mesin laser cutting. Proses pembuatan mesin akan menggunakan metode Ulrich dari mulai identifikasi kebutuhan mesin, pemilihan konsep sampai perwujudan desain. Berdasarkan hasil perancangan dengan metode Ulrich maka terpilihlah konsep desain 1. Pembuatan support and roll feeder menggunakan welding machine, mesin bubut, dan gerinda tangan. Kinerja support and roll feeder didapatkan dari hasil lima pengujian dinyatakan sesuai standar keberasilan mencapai 100%, dengan total waktu untuk memasukkan plate coilI yaitu 45 detik untuk proses cutting satu lembar plate. Kata kunci : Rancang Bangun, Laser Cutting, Support and Roll Feeder, Steel Plat
Controlling model of dispersed leachate in the landfill site of Tamangapa Makassar Indonesia
The Tamangapa landfill, the only operational landfill in Makassar City since 1995, is the subject of this study. The objective is to determine the direction of leachate flow generated by the waste in the Tamangapa landfill and simulate remediation management for the dispersed leachate, which has contaminated the groundwater flowing into community wells. Modflow + MT3DMS software was employed to model the groundwater flow direction, leachate dispersion, and pumping simulations. The concentrations of interest in this research were iron (Fe) and manganese (Mn). The modeling results revealed that the leachate from the Tamangapa landfill spreads from northwest to southeast, following the groundwater flow direction, and contaminates the community wells. Subsequently, a remediation management plan was developed using modeling techniques, specifically through pumping simulations with a pumping rate of 1500 m3/day. This pumping process was conducted until all the contaminated leachate in the community wells was removed, which was estimated to require a pumping duration of 15 months
Perancangan Konveyor Untuk Angkut Sampah pada Saluran Air Kapasitas 6 Ton/Jam
Sampah merupakan limbah buangan yang dihasilkan oleh manusia dan alam. Keberadaan sampah menjadi masalah bagi semua orang, karena dapat menyebabkan masalah serius pada lingkungan akibat dari penumpukan sampah yang terjadi dari waktu ke waktu.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat yang dapat melakukan tugas pengangkutan dan pemindahan sampah terkhusus pada daerah saluran air. Perancangan diawali dengan pengumpulan data, pembuatan konsep rancangan, perhitungan serta analisis untuk mengetahui tegangan pada poros serta pembuatan gambar rancangan dari alat dengan software autodesk autocad 2022. Hasil rancangan ini menggunakan konveyor rantai dengan kecepatan 0,25 m/s, chain Tsubaki RS 40-3 Single Strand, motor AC Houle Gear Production Motor dan bantalan misumi. Konveyor pengangkat sampah ini akan ditempatkan daerah saluran air dengan lebar 1 m dan kedalam 1 meter.
