Effects of Repeated Exercises of First-year Biology Education in the Faculty of Pharmacy
Get PDF医療系学部の高等教育において，初年次の基礎学力の習得は，重要な課題である．本学においても近年多様な学力の学生が入学するため，国家試験を意識した教育を早い段階から行うことにより，基礎学力を定着させ，スムーズに専門的な知識を定着させることが可能となるような教育の必要性が増している．我々は薬学部初年次学生の基礎学力向上と学習習慣の定着を目的として，薬学部生物系科目（生物学，基礎生理学，基礎生物学演習）においてGoogle formを用いた復習課題を実施し，入学時，定期試験の成績との関連を検討した．入学時のプレイスメントテストの成績と復習課題の提出率には相関は見られなかった．課題提出の定期試験への効果を検討するため，プレイスメントテストの成績とそれぞれの科目の定期試験の点数を用いて関連を調べたところ，それぞれの科目で相関がみられ，復習課題の提出がその後の定期試験の成績とつながることが示唆された．また，アンケート調査の結果，高校での履修がなかったなど学習の必要性を認識しており，そのため講義での課題に取り組むという回答が多かった．本結果により，講義で復習課題を課すことが，初年次学生の学習習慣と基礎学力をつけるために有用であることが示唆された．Acquisition of basic academic skills in the first year is an important issue in the higher education of medical faculties. In recent years, students with diverse academic abilities have been entering the university, so there is an increasing need for education that enables students to establish basic academic skills and smoothly acquire specialized knowledge by providing education from the early stages with an awareness of the national examinations. To improve the foundational skills and study habits of first-year pharmacy students, we implemented review assignments using Google Forms in biological science subjects. There was no significant difference between the placement test and the submission rate of review assignments. To examine the effect of assignment submission on regular exams, we investigated the correlation between placement test scores and exam scores in each subject. A correlation was observed in biological science subjects, suggesting that the submission of review assignments positively may affect subsequent exam performance. Furthermore, an questionnaire survey revealed that many students recognized the necessity of studying, for example, they had not taken any courses in high school, and therefore, they worked on the assignments in the lectures. The findings suggest that assigning review tasks in lectures may be useful for first-year students to develop study habits and basic academic skills.departmental bulletin pape
A Survey on Nursing Students and Nursing Professionals with Tendencies Toward Developmental Disorders
Get PDF目的：発達障害の傾向がある看護学生および看護職の実態を明らかにすることである。
方法：調査会社にモニター登録している全国の看護学生4,607名と看護職１２,337名の計１6,944名に対しインターネットを介して調査を実施した。調査項目は、対象者の属性（年齢、性別、学歴）に加え、自閉症スペクトラム障害（以下、ASD）と注意欠陥・多動性障害（以下、ADHD）の傾向の有無とした。統計解析ソフトを用いて記述統計を実施した後、属性と発達障害の傾向の関連をみた。
結果と考察：有効回答を得た看護学生２30名、看護職２,59２名、看護職以外の職業に就いていた者（以下、看護職以外の者）70名の計２,89２名を分析対象者とした。ASDの傾向は、看護学生１8.3％、看護職以外の者１4.3％、看護職１２.8％に、ADHDの傾向は、看護学生２8.3％、看護職以外の者１4.3％、看護職１１.8％にみられた。これらの結果から、ASDおよびADHDの傾向がある者の割合が低年齢層に多い可能性、もしくは、看護職の資格取得後、発達障害の傾向がある者は就業継続の難しさがある可能性が考えられた。また、看護学生・看護職において男性のほうがASDの傾向がある者の割合が多く、多くの先行研究の知見と一致した。ADHDの傾向がある者と基本属性の関連はみられなかった。Purpose: This study aims to clarify the reality of nursing students and professionals with tendencies toward developmental disorders.
Methods: An online survey was conducted with 16,944 participants, including 4,607 nursing students and 12,337 nursing professionals, registered with a nationwide panel. The survey assessed demographics and the presence of tendencies towards Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Descriptive statistics were performed to analyze the relationship between demographics and these tendencies.
Results and Discussion: The analysis included 2,892 participants: 230 nursing students, 2,592 nursing professionals, and 70 non-nursing professionals. ASD tendencies were observed in 18.3% of nursing students, 14.3% of non-nursing professionals, and 12.8% of nursing staff; ADHD tendencies were found in 28.3%, 14.3%, and 11.8%, respectively. These results suggest higher ASD and ADHD tendencies in younger individuals, potential challenges in maintaining employment post-qualification, and a greater proportion of males with ASD tendencies. No association was found between ADHD tendencies and basic attributes.departmental bulletin pape
Looking back on Naohiro Dogakinai (former governor)’s life: Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Health Sciences University of Hokkaido
Get PDF堂垣内尚弘氏（1914年6 月14日－2004年2 月2 日）は、北海道知事として、3 期（1971年－1983年）奉職された。そして同大学の始まりである東日本学園大学の名付け親でもある。後に理事長の要職も果たされた。2024年は、北海道医療大学の創立50周年を迎えたとともに堂垣内尚弘氏の生誕110年および没20年の特別な記念する年でもある。北海道の堂垣内家は、1887年頃福井県から尚弘の祖父・福松と新潟県からの祖母・トリから北海道に渡っている。堂垣内尚弘氏は、1938年3 月 北海道帝国大学工学部土木工学科卒。学生時代の、立候補演説がリーダーとしての始まりであると回想されている。学部では、柔道では工学部の代表および個人として審判をつとめた。その努力が、インターハイ全国優勝という結果として実った。当時北大柔道部の学生が狩り出され、当時最上級生だった堂垣内氏が最初の試走にハンドルを握ることになった。いわゆる、堂垣内尚弘氏は、「日本で最初にボブスレーに乗った男」として知られている。Mr.Naohiro Dogakinai served as Governor of Hokkaido for three terms (1971-1983). He is also named origin of the university. Later, he also held position of chairman of the University.
