The effect of creative activity to generic skills in dance lesson : Focus on the teamwork competency
Get PDFThe purpose of this study was to examine the effect of creative activity in dance classes, as a form of active learning, on interpersonal relationships and the generic skill of teamwork competency. The research subjects were 49 male first-year university students in dance classes that focused on creative activities, carried out as follows: once a take was assigned and understood, group were formed, and each group held discussion and created a dance. Each group then performed their dance for their classmates, and watched the dances created by the other groups. New group were formed each time a new activity was assigned. The result of this investigation indicate possible improvement in interpersonal relationship and communication ability, specifically encoding ability, suggesting that creative activities in dance classes assume an important role in first-year university education, because communication ability is the basis for teamwork competency. Significance of Communication between A Company President and His Employees : Focus on Analytical Study of " Company D " President's Communication Activities
Get PDFGrowing and managing a company requires the senior management to accurately grasp changes in the economic and political settings. Successfully navigating these economic and political changes requires the combined efforts of the company president and his employees. Successful communication between a president and the employees most closely associated with the on-the-ground business environment is essential to create positive change within an organization. Consequently, when employees are endowed with a sense of importance, or belonging, as a result of communication and support from their president, they are increasingly motivated to perform well. Foreign Investment, Tax Policies and Economic Development
Get PDFThis study examines optimal tax and tariff policies for a small, open economy that seeks to attract capital from foreign investors who receive a credit for taxes paid to the host country. We prove that the optimal tax and tariff rates are not a unique pair, but are instead plural pairs. Therefore, the host country can maintain the after-tax rate of return of the foreign capital when it increases its tax and tariff rates at a ratio. In other words, the host country attracts foreign investment and maintains the real income of the country while raising tariff rates. This result suggests that the host country simultaneously realizes maximum income and protection of infant industries. From Crowd to Collective Intelligence
Get PDFIn this paper, we aim to approach the following question: does the people's behavior in cyberspace remain as instinctive as it does in the crowd? First, we will consider the difference between the crowd and the natural condition as described by Hobbes. Then, against this, we will develop the example of mutual help that citizens are spontaneously capable of in disaster situations and also Tarde's concept of" public". Finally, since both Hobbes and Tarde seem to miss a dimension when thinking about the crowd, we try to demonstrate how "informational entity" could help us formulate a more willing and hence positive conception of collective intelligence.
