    Incorporating Individual Creative Thinking Skills into Leadership Development Programs( LDPs) to Enhance Organizational Innovation: With a Special focus on the Fourth Industrial Revolution( 4IR)

    This paper investigates the including of creative thinking skills into Leadership Development Programs (LDPs) to Enhance Organizational Innovation. It discusses the changes that happen to the global market due to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) and its technology. These changes can cause policy and procedures to change which can create new and unexpected challenges for companies. To overcome these new challenges companies and leaders need to develop their creativity and innovation capabilities. Although creativity and innovation can help leaders and companies to overcome challenges and create new opportunities, most of the research on LDPs focus mainly on leadership skills and communication skills. To fill the gap in the literature, this paper examines the incorporating of creative thinking skills into LDPs to Enhance Organizational Innovation. According to the results of this paper, I found that developing creative thinking skills for future leaders can help to enhance organizational innovation. Future research has also been discussed and the need for more focus on the relationship between creativity, innovation and LDPs has been shown.departmental bulletin pape

    Estimating Demand for Home Medical Care: Regional Medical Plan and Personal Framework

    The Japanese Government is promoting home medical care and targeting the year 2025 when the baby-boomer generation reaches 75 years old. So, it is not good to have established a method for estimating the number of recipients of home medical care, which is the basis for establishing the home medical care supply system.  The purpose of this paper is to clarify the estimation method and the number of recipients estimated on the number of home medical care recipients nationwide (eachprefecture).  Each prefecture estimates medical demand in formulating a health care plan, but its estimation method is carried out according to the estimation method indicated by the government. That is, we estimate the medical treatment performed on the patient using the receipt data by the value( medical resource input amount) obtained by converting it based on the volume of medical treatment fee. In this paper, we examine the validity of the method of medical demand estimation that the country is showing and consider the estimation method by human framework that does not rely on the reception data.departmental bulletin pape

    Cavitation Reduction of Butterfly Valve by Flexible Fibers and Sheet Materials

    Butterfly valves are most commonly used in all industrial plants because of their simple construction. This cavitation phenomenon, which cannot be avoided in butterfly valves, is known to be caused by the interference of the flow from the front and rear edges of the valve body, and its reduction can be suppressed by preventing the flow interference. Various types of valves have been proposed in the past, but this study proposes a simple method to suppress cavitation by adding a flexible fiber or flexible sheet fixed behind the valve body.  The intensity of cavitation was measured in terms of noise level, and the polyester sheet, which was the most flexible, had the greatest noise suppression effect. In the normal valve without the seat, the noise was reduced by approximately 5dB to 10dB at each valve opening position based on the mid valve opening position, where cavitation is most likely to occur, confirming the suppression effect of the polyester sheet. However, a detailed study will be required in the future to determine the length of sheets and the degree of flexibility required.departmental bulletin pape
