    Join fashion designer and musician Keanan Duffty and FIT Dean for the School of Graduate Studies Mary Davis for a talk on fashion, music, and everything in between. Davis holds a Ph.D. and A.M. degrees in musicology from Harvard University. While heading the music department at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland before arriving at FIT, she served as the university’s liaison to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum. Duffty is an award-winning British fashion designer, musician, and author of Rebel Rebel Anti-Style. He dressed the Sex Pistols for their 2003 American tour and in 2007 collaborated with David Bowie to create a fashion collection for Target.This event is part of the Graduate Studies Invites series, hosted by FIT’s School of Graduate Studies

    Misty Copeland is a soloist with American Ballet Theatre. In 2007 she made history by becoming their second African American Female Soloist and the first in two decades. In September 2014, she was the first black woman to perform the lead role of Odette/Odile in American Ballet Theatre’s production of Swan Lake during the company’s first ever tour to Australia. Stay with Me features some recent hotel brand strategies that integrate mission with material expression. Harvey will talk about her interest in branded experiences, design trends, and branding strategy of hotels in New York and abroad. She will also discuss sustainability within these branding campaigns.Harvey is a graphic designer with over ten years experience working in Asia, Europe, and Australia.
