In 2019 Evrnu debuted NuCycl, a technology that transforms garment waste into a resource by recovering the raw materials for reuse. FIT students have won the Biodesign Challenge and have started their own businesses using their sustainable designs to solve environmental industry challenges.FIT’s Sustainability Ambassador, Amber Valletta, will sit down with previous FIT Biodesign winners to discuss the significance of biotechnology in fashion design, how brands can incorporate these sustainable materials into their products and the overall impact it will make on the future of fashion and the environment.Sustainability is a key component of FIT’s mission and is embedded in the college’s curriculum and operations.
