Quality of Life in Informal Caregivers of Femoral Neck Fracture Patients: A scoping review
This scoping review explores the quality of life and burden experienced by informal caregivers of patients with femoral neck fractures. Analyzing eight studies from 2015–2025, it finds caregivers face considerable psychological, physical, and social stress, especially early in recovery, leading to reduced well-being and increased frailty. Tools like SF-36 and CarerQoL-7D effectively assess these burdens. Protective factors such as social support and self-efficacy mitigate stress, while counseling interventions enhance emotional resilience and coping. The findings underscore the need for healthcare systems to include caregiver assessments and support measures in recovery plans to improve outcomes for both caregivers and patients
Ostomy Self-Management Experiences of People with an Ostomy: A scoping review
This scoping review examines ostomy self-care as a multidimensional concept encompassing physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects, but lacking a consistent framework. Key facilitators include family support, culturally sensitive education, telehealth, and spiritual care, while barriers involve body image concerns, stigma, physical complications, and limited specialized care access. The review highlights inconsistent terminology and classification, emphasizing the need for standardized definitions and assessment tools. Holistic, individualized care strategies that address all dimensions of self-care are essential. Future research should focus on standardization and long-term support to enhance independence and quality of life for people living with an ostom
Oxytocin Levels and Postnatal Depression among Asian Postpartum Mothers: A scoping review
The depression among postpartum mothers has been discussed related to the changes in oxytocin level that would affect the mental health of mothers after childbirth. The review investigated the oxytocin level and postnatal depression among mothers to understand the relationship between oxytocin levels and postnatal depression among postpartum mothers in Asian countries from the existing literature. The selected literature followed the PRISMA framework for identifying, screening, and selecting relevant studies from three databases featuring PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science with 303 studies. A total of nine studies were assessed for eligibility and included in this final review after the literature.

Cultural Norm and Picky Eating: Food environment and purchases of the B40 in PPR Lembah Subang, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia
Addressing child malnutrition in Malaysian bottom 40 (B40) communities requires understanding the in-home dynamics. This qualitative case study explores how cultural norms and children's picky eating influence food environment and purchases among 29 residents in PPR Lembah Subang. Bridging a research gap, findings reveal that parents navigate a complex tension: while aspiring to cultural and nutritional ideals, financial constraints and children's refusal of certain foods often compel them to purchase less healthy, yet accepted, items. This illuminates the practical trade-offs families make, offering vital insights for designing culturally sensitive interventions to improve child nutrition in urban poor contexts
Influence of Self-Efficacy, Environmental Attitude, and Knowledge on Behaviour among University Students: Evidence from SEGi University, Malaysia
This study explores the direct effects of environmental self-efficacy, environmental attitude, and environmental knowledge on environmental behaviour among SEGi University undergraduates in Malaysia. Using a quantitative approach, 312 valid responses were analyzed through PLS-SEM. Results show all three factors significantly and positively influence students' pro-environmental behaviour. The study confirms the applicability of Social Cognitive Theory. It emphasizes the need for universities to enhance environmental education by promoting self-efficacy, positive attitudes, and sustainability values, thereby cultivating environmentally responsible individuals who contribute to long-term global sustainability goals
Predictors of Social Media Support for Drug Addiction Recovery in Malaysia: Preliminary mixed-methods findings
This study investigates predictors of social support in drug addiction recovery in Malaysia using a sequential mixed-methods design. Six interviews with recovering addicts, counsellors, and a psychologist revealed six recovery influences: addiction impact, psychological well-being, treatment initiation, self-care, social media, and support networks. Quantitative findings indicated that experiential, emotional, and informational support significantly mediated relationships between social interaction and recovery outcomes. Psychological health and self-care showed inconsistent moderating roles, suggesting weaker individual variability effects. These results offer practical implications for developing socially oriented recovery programs and provide a foundation for further research to validate and extend these findings
Erwin Panofsky’s Iconological Study of the Illustrations of Serat Selarasa (1804): A method of art conservation
Serat Selarasa (1804) is one of the essential manuscripts in the Javanese cultural heritage, containing noble values. It consists of 296 pages, 163 of which are coloured illustrations, the rest of which are texts in Javanese letters, and is the collection of the Yogyakarta Palace Scriptorium. The impetus is due to the threat of extinction and the lack of these studies. The aim is to reveal the history, culture, symbolic meaning, and philosophy behind the illustrations through Panofsky's approach.Research shows the importance of a comprehensive aesthetic historical method before the art conservators conduct material analysis and art preservation actions
Exploring the Product Role in Indonesian Folklore "Legenda Sangkuriang" through Narrative Analysis
This research examines the role of the product design object in the folklore of Legenda Sangkuriang through a narrative analysis approach, drawing on theories by Freytag and Propp. Five main product objects: loom, bow-arrow, ladle, pestle-mortar, and boat are identified as having essential contributions to the narrative structure and function of the story. The findings reveal that these objects not only serve practical functions but also support the narrative development. This study confirms that product design has a strategic role in folklore. It can serve as an inspiration for the further development of folklore-based product design
A Data Review of Batik Block Makers through the Focus Group Discussion
This study explores the decline of Batik block makers in Malaysia through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) approach. Using qualitative research methods, semi-structured group interviews were conducted to collect data on participants’ experiences, perceptions, and opinions within the Batik community. The FGD provided a two-way discussion platform that enabled participants to share valuable insights on the challenges and sustainability of Batik block making. This paper highlights the importance of preserving traditional craftsmanship and reviews the implications of the diminishing number of block makers based on rich qualitative data obtained from the Focus Group Discussion
