Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a new breakthrough in the educational paradigm in the 21st century learning era. This study examines the perception of in-service teachers towards the use of AI in the form of Chat GPT in the learning process at the private secondary school level and how its integration implications are for the curriculum applied. Participants in this study are in-service teachers at a private school at the secondary school level with a total of 16 teachers. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative design with questionnaire instruments based on Chan and Hu (2023) in Thararattanasuwan and Prachagool (2024) and interviews tailored to research needs. The data was analyzed using a Likert scale guide and simple statistical calculations. The results of the study show a positive perception of in-service teachers towards the use of AI, namely chat GPT which has good implications in the integration of the curriculum in the learning process in each subject by paying attention to its limitations. Therefore, it can be concluded that in-service teachers at the private secondary school level have a positive view of chat GPT and have been integrated in learning in accordance with the implementation of the curriculum

Bridging the Gap: Challenges Faced by Pre-service Teachers in Creating Interactive Video Assessments

This study explores the challenges that pre-service teachers face when developing interactive video assessments, with a focus on the technological, pedagogical and psychological aspects involved. While interactive videos have been shown to increase student engagement, some pre-service teachers struggle to create them. Three English education students from Mulawarman University were purposefully selected for the study. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions and analysed using thematic analysis. The findings revealed technical challenges like unstable internet and delayed AI.  Pedagogical challenges such as teachers relied heavily on AI, and limiting creativity. Psychological challenges when participants did not trust the accuracy of AI or the grammar of AI-generated questions, necessitating additional scrutiny. Despite these challenges, the study showed that participants transitioned from passively accepting the AI's output to actively adapting and refining it. This demonstrates that, when teachers take ownership of the contextualisation of materials, interactive video assessments can be effective, provided they are supported by thorough training in digital pedagogy and AI literacy

The Effect of Case-Based Learning on Students’ Writing Performance in EFL Contexts

This study examines the effect of Case-Based Learning (CBL) on students' writing skills in the context of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) through the Systematic Literature Review method of research published in the last ten years in Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar databases. The results show that CBL effectively improves writing skills, especially in the aspects of coherence, grammar, and paragraph organization. By engaging students in real-world scenarios, this method encourages logical and systematic organization of arguments and develops critical thinking skills, creativity, and analytical abilities. The integration of CBL with the Process Writing Approach (PWA) strengthens the text drafting and revision process, while peer review activities contribute to improving grammatical accuracy. In addition, the CBL method showed flexibility across different educational levels, improving negotiation text writing skills in vocational schools and analytical ability in higher education. Compared to traditional methods, CBL encourages deep engagement with the material and the application of theory into practice, although its success largely depends on the quality of the cases, the competence of the facilitators, and institutional support. Challenges encountered include the need for additional guidance for students who struggle to grasp abstract concepts and the provision of adequate infrastructure for technology integration. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of CBL on retention of writing skills, its effectiveness across different language proficiency levels, as well as the role of digital technology in supporting the learning process. With adequate institutional support and comprehensive implementation strategies, CBL can be an effective and sustainable method in improving writing skills in EFL contexts

The Effect Of Total Physical Response (TPR) Method On Students’ Speaking Skill at Elementary School. The main problem of this study is the lack of students' speaking ability, especially in English, so the researchers sought ways to improve students' pronunciation accuracy and vocabulary after applying the Total Psychal Response (TPR) method at Lab School SD Unismuh Makassar. This study used a quantitative quasi-experimental design by applying the TPR method to see its effect on students' speaking ability. The procedure of this research includes pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The samples in this study were second grade students of Lab School SD Unismuh Makassar consisting of two classes which became the population. This research used total sampling technique. The instruments of this research are speaking tests and recording devices. So in this study, speaking test was used as a test instrument to collect data. Based on the results of the study, the pre-test score in the experimental class in pronunciation accuracy was (22.72) and the post-test score was (65.90). and the pre-test score on vocabulary was (24.99) and the post-test score was (76.51). Meanwhile, the pre-test score in the control class in pronunciation accuracy was (24.99) and the post-test score was (33.33). and the score on vocabulary was (21.96) and the post-test score was (42.42). Based on hypothesis testing, it shows that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected based on hypothesis testing. The results showed that in the experimental class there was a significant increase from pre-test to post-test using the TPR method compared to the results of the control class using the TBLT method. So, it can be concluded that the use of TPR method can affect students' speaking ability in terms of accuracy of pronunciation and vocabulary at the laboratory school of SD Unismuh Makassar
