Study the Textile Motifs in Islamic Middle East (Case Study: Ottoman and Saudi Arabia)
Islamic textiles include the textile produced in Islamic countries and regions, as a reflection of art and poetry of this religion. When Islam came to power, the tax paid by the non-Islamic countries to the Islamic government included valuable fabrics and textiles. Their style and early designs of the fabrics were inspired by the traditions and art of the tribes. But gradually the method of texture and decoration on the fabrics was influenced by the Islamic art of that era. So that on some of the pieces one can observe the Quranic verses and religious ritual. In this article, the textile motifs have been studied in the Ottoman Empire and Saudi Arabia. The weavers in this region other than paying attention to the customs, tradition and Islamic poetry’s also looked for innovation so as to prevent textiles with religious application. The paper is based on descriptive-analytical method and data collection were from library studies
A Study on Walter Benjamin's Thoughts on Fashion Phenomenon
This study is focused on Walter Benjamin’s[i] thought about one of the modernity consequences: the phenomenon of fashion. After industrial revolution, which took place from the 18th to 19th centuries, fashion appeared in the second half of 19th century in Paris as could be seen in Impressionist paintings. In the beginning, it was considered as mere covering style but in the early of 20th century, especially after World War II, while women’s social and commercial activities decreased, it started to play an important role as an important kind of arts in all modern life fields as economy, power policies, sexism and even protestant movements.
Walter Benjamin, one of the most renowned philosophers, art theorists and literary cultural critics of the20th century, and famous thinkers of Frankfurt School, who called Paris capital of the 19th century and Charles Baudelaire[ii] a lyric poet in the era of high Capitalism in his unfinished luminous work: The Arcades Project. In some sections of this book, Benjamin criticized the modern period as the age of technological reproduction, and also studied the fashion issue. Moreover, regarding to the works of Surrealist painters, he studied the collection of The Devil in Paris of Grandville[iii] as an urban organism.
The purpose of this research is to study Benjamin's thoughts on the phenomenon of fashion and its relationship with the industrial communities in Europe. The main questions are: According to Benjamin, what factors caused the birth of fashion phenomenon? And how did it become one of the most important form of modern art. My approach in this study is a descriptive-analytic method to explain the ideas of Benjamin in the field of fashion.

The subject of his works was mostly the comic combination of animals and human with clothes at different time situations and people mainly welcomed the illustration of contemporary events and characters presented by Grandville
Design of Neighborhood Squares in the Old Neighborhoods of Isfahan City Regarding the Issue of Dryness
Cities as complex systems are highly vulnerable to nature threats, human activities and droughts. The characteristics of human activities make cities more desirable to live. It is a natural risk factor that could disrupt the activity of cities. Urban design could improve the quality of cities and has a major role in sustainability and identity. Neighborhood squares is one of the urban design structure's that makes Isfahan city one of the most important cites of Iran, as a classical identity.
The canals network gives Isfahan beautiful effect. Reducing air pollution, creating attractive environment are some of these effect. Today drying of these canals changes the appearance of old squares and some of them have been destroyed. The Zayanderod River, the cause of the life of the canals, is being destroyed and so canals become dry so these squares lose their boom. This study evaluates the effect of dryness on Neighborhood Squares as well as tracking urban projects for their reconstruction. In this study, using the combination of SWOT and student t tests, we first evaluate and identify the current situation and we recommend solutions for the reconstruction of neighborhood squares to achieve optimal implementation methods. Given the current state of the squares and using the AHP method, the execution priorities are specified and, three - dimensional model is presented. Here, the main approach is to find ideal method for the reconstruction and renovation of the neighboring square

Recognition of Lubrication Workshop in Native Architecture (Case Study: Lubrication Workshop of Najafabad, Isfahan)
One of the characteristics of a building in Iran is the diversity in the type of land use and its architecture which has a direct relationship with thinking, creativity and people's need. Lubrication workshop structure is part of the native heritage that meets the needs of people in the environmental condition of that time. However, a few studies have been conducted on the mode of operation and spatial structure recognition. The aim of the present research is to identify the characteristics, principles of the formation of spatial species and extraction of efficient elements which have been selected as a case study of Najafabad mines (i.e. lubrication workshop). Therefore, the spatial structure of the lubrication workshop was analyzed and compared, based on library studies and field observations via a descriptive-analytical method. The physical factors were analyzed by the existing maps, and the spatial structure of the case sample was extracted. It was found that the lubrication workshop has distinct and recognizable patterns, and according to space and organization of the functional space it follows a single pattern. Further research can provide a background for architectural design that like the past is responsive to the needs of people and can be implemented as a model for resuscitation of native architectural identity.

Study of the Symbolic Aspects of Animal Designs in Jiroft Civilization
Abstract:
So far, theoretical studies and little art reviews have been conducted on animal designs, and no such research has been done on Jiroft's civilization. The reason for choosing this civilization is its importance in pre-Iranian art, as well as the health and availability of the works of this civilization period. This study tried to study motifs, to recognize the origin and meaning of them, and to trace the cultural influences of their respective civilizations, and to analyze their symbolic aspects. The main question of this research is what kind of symbols and signs with the field of animal drawings are used in the works of Jiroft civilization, and what concepts and themes they represent. The purpose of this study is to achieve a more cognitive understanding of the symbolic aspects of animal designs of the works of Jiroft civilization. This study was conducted descriptively and analytically using library resources. In this study, ten of the works found in Jiroft civilization have been investigated and the results of this study show that in Jiroft containers, motifs represent a man of war with the hard nature of southeastern Iran. In these designs, the notion of duality, or dualism, and dual composition are very evident, which is a sign of dual similarities and an opposite duality. These two-dimensional repetitions with the same materials represent an emphasis on symbolic concepts such as power or importance to them.

Evaluation and Optimization of Acanthophyllum Extract in Washing of the Historical Textiles
Contamination is an unwanted threat, which affects the health and the artistic features of a piece of textile. One of the most important concerns in the area of protection of historical woven fabrics is the presentation and use of safe materials and methods for the historic works. So far, many researchers have been working on this field and have caused a lot of changes in this field. The purpose of this research is to apply Acanthophyllum extract to the cleaning and washing of historical cotton fabrics. For this purpose, after preparing the Acanthophyllum, using the Soxhlet method, the extract of hydro-alcoholic was obtained. The extract was applied, as a detergent, to the prepared contaminated samples in the washing step. In the washing process, all constant independent variables were concerned, and only three concentrations of extract, washing frequency and times were considered in the design of the test, using a Central Composite Design (CCD). The detection of delta DE* by spectrophotometer as a dependent variable expresses the effect of extract cleansing rate. The results show that extract concentrations, washing frequency and time are most effective in cleaning the contamination. However, the adopted washing process and the applied materials had the least impact on reducing the strength of the fabric
Evaluation of the Quality of Life in Urban Texture with Rural Core Case Study: Naimeabad Neighborhood, Yazd, Iran
In recent decades the unprecedented growth of urbanization, which has been the result of economic and industrial growth, has led to the expansion of cities. Some of the villages located away from the city, within the urban texture, the surrounding land which is considered more evolving as the urban development axes in the metropolitan plans. One of the most noticeable and disturbing issues in these areas is the mismatch problem between the new built environment around the countryside and the immediate urban fabric, which has a significant impact on the quality of urban living. This research aims at evaluating and ranking the quality of life indicators, based on the TOPSIS technique, by exploring the Naimeabad neighborhood of Yazd city, which has a rustic nucleus located in the heart of the city. The study implemented descriptive-analytical method for data collection and analysis. The library data were collected using questionnaires and field surveys. Sample population was selected using simple random sampling method. Cronbach’s alpha was used for 288 sample selections and confirmed the reliability of the questionnaire. In addition, the information obtained from the questionnaire was analyzed and ranked using the TOPSIS technique. The research results shows that the social dimension gained the best points and the economic dimension gained the lowest
