No full textIn this piece, Hu has placed lights on top of an open-face book and below it hands a chaotic jumble of cables. The pages of the book are densely filled with texts, but the pages appear serene and inviting especially in contrast with the mess of cables. The artist may be attempting to contrast the two methods of communication: literary and electronic. She appears to be calling into question the myth that modern-day technology is more efficient than books. The piece has been left untitled. In Hu\u27s artist statement she says, The daily use, of common products obscures the inner meaning of their existence, I am interested in the crystal-clear of the glass, the industrial hardness poses a challenge since I was working with things of soft sogginess before . When “Do No Harm” and “Child Protection” Conflict: Assessing Drug Screening and Reporting Practices Among Ohio Healthcare Providers
No full textThis study qualitatively examines Ohio reproductive care providers’ understanding of legal requirements, institutional protocols, and workplace norms surrounding informed consent, toxicology screening, and CPS reporting and assesses the extent to which these providers have interacted with law enforcement in their jobs. Our online data collection is currently in progress, which will be analyzed by three coders. Through this process, we will identify common themes in providers’ care regarding substance-using patients, experiences with law enforcement in their workplaces, and develop recommendations for safeguarding confidentiality and family well-being in Ohio
