No full textIn 1988, the Glendale Gauchos won the national football championship. Yet, even before they won, they were undefeated and an inspiration to the school and their community. There were so inspirational in fact, that the mayor of Glendale, Arizona George R. Renner declared November 22 - 24 "Valley of the Sun Bowl Days". This is the official proclamation celebrating the team's amazing season and wishing them luck in the national championships

No full textThis video contains an interview of veteran Tom Swank. Swank came from a patriotic military family and enlisted in the Army in 1987 and served until 1991. During his time in the military, Swank was stationed in Korea and Puerto Rico. He later joined the National Guard where he worked as a deputy sheriff for five years and a correctional officer for eighteen. He currently works for the Arizona Department of Public Safety and is a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for his service in Korea where he has a leadership role as the service officer charged with providing accommodations to fellow veterans and helping adjust to reentering civilian society
