    The Society Perception Toward Harmonization of Social Relationship Ethnic in Malaysia

    This research to describe society perceptions of the harmonization of ethnic social relations in Malaysia. Malaysia is a multi-ethnic, multi-cultural and multi-lingual society. This type of research is qualitative descriptive, using several informants to conduct interviews. Data sources used are primary sources, namely information that is sourced directly from the research location by means of interviews. Whereas secondary sources are data obtained from documentation or literature study to complete primary data, with sampling technique, accidental sampling. The results of the research show that social relations between ethnic groups in Malaysia have been well established by maintaining togetherness and mutual respect between individuals and community groups. However, both the community and the government still have to strive to keep working together in maintaining the harmony of social relations that have been well established, so that the creation of a sense of security and comfort despite being in an environment with ethnic diversity. &nbsp

The sample is defined by proportional techniques in the school-ag population at each level of education.     Policy Model of Physical Changes in The Environment of Mandeh Area from 2008-2018

    ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to see the physical changes in the environment of Mandeh area, South Pesisir Regency, from 2008-2018 and formulate an environmental policy model for the Mandeh area. The analysis technique was carried out by overlaying map of Mandeh area land use from 2008-2018, to determine the policy model of the physical changes in the environment of Mandeh area was analyzed by FGD and AHP. As for the results of the land use map overlay shows many physical changes. Based on the results of the analysis and discussions that have been done previously, it can be concluded that Physical Changes in Enviroment of Mandeh area from 2008-2018 have their own impact on the environment For this reason, it is necessary to have an environmentally sound policy model. Based on the results of the analysis, there are five alternative policy priorities are: (1) it is expected that the government to analyze the utilization of natural resources does not exceed the environmental carrying capacity value of 0.752,  (2) zoning of land use and marine waters of mandeh area value 0.791 (3) cultivating the main functions of natural resources potential, human resources and artificial resources value 0.794 (4) conservation for mangroves and coral reefs that have been damaged value 0.732 (5) analysis of the system plan and road network of sea and land transportation value 0.726.     Model of Slum Settlement Policy in East Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara

    This research is purposed to formulate model of slum settlement policy in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province. Method used in this study is mixed method with data collection method is Purposive Sampling and Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Study discussion is resulting in alternative policy of settlement policy in Nusa Tenggara Barat  Province, Indonesia that is: (1) demolition of slum area; (2) opening job vacancy; (3) providing low-cost housing; (4) providing loans from banks; and (5) flats. From these alternative policies, it is aimed to raise standard of living in Nusa Tenggara Barat province, especially in the area of ​​study and eliminating slums area to achieve the correct urban planning

    The purpose of this research was to find out how the perception of Malaysian society towards Indonesian Workers (TKI) in Malaysia. This  research is descriptive intended to describe carefully the particular social phenomena that are being studied by developing concepts and gathering facts by using observation, interview and documentation studies in data collection. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data obtained from Indonesian workers in Malaysia.     The Study of Welfare Level of Migrants in Malaysia

    The purpose of this study was to determine the level of understanding of migrant communities in Malaysia. This research used descriptive qualitative technique by using interviews and documentation  of the data. The type of data is primary data and secondary data. Primary data is collected by interviewed of resourcers and observation or open observations related to the welfare of migrants while Secondary data is obtained by searching through the internet in relation to information about the welfare situation of newcomers and documents that have been published by the relevant agencies. The results are obtained as follows: 1. For the income of migrants, they felt that their income is sufficient to fulfill their needs, some migrants could send money to their home countries 2. The Malaysian government paid attention to the education of immigrant children by allowing them to attend public schools except foreigners without permit. Malaysia also gave permission to foreign countries to establish expatriate schools for residents who live in Malaysia so that they can obtain education in accordance with the curriculum and language of the country of origin. 3. In general, the place of residence of migrants is in a place far from the center of the crowd, because they want a cheaper rental price. In term fulfilling food or consumption needs, the migrants claimed to have no problems, because the consumption costs were quite cheap 5. Health services for migrants were relatively cheap at around RM15 for those who became Unlicensed Foreigner

    Participation of Educational Institutions in Supporting Halal Tourism Destination Program through Development of Local Culture in East Lombok Regency

    The purpose of this study is to obtain information about the participation of educational institutions in supporting Halal Tourism destination through development of local culture. This study uses qualitative descriptive approach by using observation, interview and questionnaire in data collection. Subjects to be studied in this study are head of education department, principal (SMAN 1 Rujukan Selong) and random people in the community. Sample is determined by purposive sampling technique to select school and proportional random sampling technique to select respondent. Study finding obtained from formal institutions: 1) good example from teacher as a model in character education, 2) curriculum that contain Halal Tourism, 3) contribution in improvement and maintenance of tourism facilities and infrastructures in location of tourism attractions, 4) held a parade on Islam holiday (PHBI) and Islamic art contest. Meanwhile, non-formal participations are: 1) construction of religious facilities, 2) selling halal food products in area of ​​tourist attraction, 3) selling Islamic souvenirs

    Policy Directions of Geothermal Potential at Sembalun District of East Lombok Regency in Nusa Tenggara Barat Province, Indonesia

    This research attempted to study physical characteristics of geothermal and formulate policy directions of geothermal potential through the process of ISM (Interpretative Structural Modelling) analysis in Sembalun District of East Lombok Regency. This descriptive qualitative research design used observation, interview, and documentation for collecting the data. Two types of data were collected, namely primary and secondary data. The result of ISM analysis on the data found that the geology of Sembalun area is the remains of an old volcano which has gone through destruction process with today’s remains’ characteristics of rough, rocky and steep ground surface and 550-2250 masl height. The geomorphology of Sembalun is classified into three units, namely morphology of steep volcano, morphology of sloping volcanic hills, and morphology of denudational plains.  Sloping volcanic hills stretch from the northwestern to the southwestern areas and some in the southeastern area as a part of protected forest and national park of Mount Rinjani.  The slope is between 30-70 degrees and arranged by volcanic rocks. Policy directions of geothermal potential are 1) as geothermal power plants for power sources, 2) geothermal energy for crop drying, 3) geothermal energy for sterilization of planting media in the future, and 4) geothermal energy for tourism sector

    The Social Interaction Between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous Community in Malaysia

    This study aims to collect, process, analyze and describe social interactions between indigenous and non-indigenous communities in Malaysia. This research is a descriptive study using qualitative data. Data collected using techniques, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in the study was carried out using data reduction techniques, data interpretation and reduction of conclusions. The results showed that the Malay or indigenous community consisting of native Malaysians and Islamic and non-indigenous majority consisted of Chinese, Indians, Arabs and Thais, where they interacted with indigenous and non-indigenous populations who had an influence on the growth of life the community. The form of interaction varies based on motivation and interaction. 1) Interaction is carried out for business transactions, becausemany tourists go to Malaysia as a consumer and businessman as a means of the necessary facilities.2) Interaction activities when indigenous and non-indigenous communities meet at work, tourist attractions, schools, hospitals, highways. The meeting was like in school with motivation for friendship, finance, and romance. 3) Interactions that occur when both parties explore informationsuch as culture, language, and personal data. Interaction is more common when both parties go to a place and make a meeting. Interaction can be distinguished between indigenous and non-indigenous communities from language and physical form differences.
