Concept of Independent Character Based on Pathfinder (Cross Case Study)
This research aims to analyze the concept of independent character by looking at it from a scouting perspective. This research explains how scouting and Hisbul Wathan explain the idea of independent character. A qualitative approach was used to describe this study by taking a cross-case study type with the study locus in two different institutions that implement the character of independence through scouting education. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data condensation, data presentation, and conclusions. This research reveals that the concept of independent character based on scouting grows together with the education and routine training of Hizbul Wathan and Scouts. The thoughts of KH. Ahmad Dahlan inspired the idea of independence in Hizbul Wathan. Ahmad Dahlan is a responsible, skilled, independent and disciplined human being. The concept of independence in Scouting follows up on the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Regulation Number 23 of 2015 concerning the Development of Character. The limitation of this research is that it focuses on scouting to explain the concept of independence. Meanwhile, originality lies in the scouting movement as an independent character education concept
Constructing Education in Sustaining Islamic Values Based on Local Culture Among the Fisherfolk Community
This research aims to explore and develop Islamic education rooted in local culture among the fishing community on the North Coast of Gresik. The research method used is a qualitative approach with an ethnographic type. The data collection techniques include participant observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. This study adopts the taxonomic analysis developed by Spradley, which provides for taxonomic, semantic, componential, and cultural theme analyses. The data validation technique uses triangulation. Research findings show that constructing Islamic values ??with local traditions in education among fishing communities can strengthen their religious and cultural identity and enrich their educational experience. This research also found that active participation and awareness of the fishing community regarding the urgency of Islamic education can increase their involvement in the learning process. This research argues that an Islamic education approach based on local culture will be able to encourage strengthening the relationship between the younger generation and the traditions and values ??inherited from their ancestors. The limitation of this research is that it does not yet explain the challenges of the digital revolution in the local cultural context. The main contribution of this research is to provide a theoretical and practical basis for the development of Islamic education that is more inclusive and relevant to the local social and cultural context by emphasizing local wisdom as a source of strength and sustainability of Islamic education
This research aims to implement Islamic religious education learning by integrating religious lesson material with other lessons and extracurricular school activities to build character. This research is field research using a qualitative approach. Data collection uses interview, observation and documentation methods. Data analysis begins with data retrieval, data reduction, and evaluation stages. The results of this research cover four aspects of integrating Islamic religious education. First, the educational process is carried out by presenting material by combining Islamic religious education with subject material in other subjects combined into one theme and sub-theme taught simultaneously in one learning activity. Second, to integrate the learning process with students' learning experiences, teachers and schools visit certain places, such as markets and residential areas, to build students' social spirit. Third, integration between teachers and parents, such as electronic communication and home visits. Fourth, integration of education with extracurricular programs such as Imtaq activities every Friday, tahsin and tahfidz al-Qur'an programs, Student Personality Development and commemoration of Islamic holidays. This integration pattern is an alternative that schools can use as a form of character-building for students. This research is limited to the character cultivation model so other research is needed to complement the study of character education. The findings of this research provide a scientific contribution to the character education model by integrating religious education with general education

Islamic Education in Cyberspace: An Analysis of Intellectual Humility in Gus Baha' Lectures on the Youtube Platform
The flow of information on the internet, including religious narratives, is currently impossible to avoid. This article discusses understanding Islam with intellectual humility for virtual society to live up to religious teachings with tolerance, moderation, and mutual respect. This study gathered data from documentation of Gus Baha's recitation, which is widely distributed on the YouTube social media platform. This study used a qualitative-descriptive research method and a netnographic analysis model. This method uses a particular analytical technique offered, AMS (Siber Media Analysis), which goes through 4 levels: Media room level, media document level, media object level, and experience level. This study was successful in determining that Gus Baha's intellectual humility is built on two things: first, a thorough understanding of Islamic teachings (khatam), and second, the belief that humans cannot act like God by enforcing laws against humans in the context of reality, which can change at any time. Furthermore, online media-based Islamic education can be accessed in real-time, stipulating that those presenting Islamic teachings in online media be mature figures, both intellectually and emotionally, as well as socially sensitive in a multicultural society

Trimurti Leadership as Central Figure in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor
Indonesia is a pluralistic country because of its diversity of tribes, cultures, languages and customs, so it has various forms of Educational Institutions. Islamic boarding schools are the 'Father' of education in Indonesia and an indigenous institution born from Nusantara's local wisdom in a somewhat existential period. The characteristic of pesantren lies in its leadership in the hands of a Kiai. One of the pesantren that still exists today is Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor (PMDG). So, this study aims to provide a discourse about the leadership of 'Trimurti' as the central figure in Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor. The study is included in the library research. To facilitate data analysis, researchers used descriptive and content analysis techniques. Based on the results of the data analysis, the uniqueness of kiai's leadership lies in the charismatic character that creates a 'patron-client' pattern in the internal and external spheres. Trimurti of PMDG as a boarding school leader whose task is to educate the santri, applied two main methods: central figure (uswahhasanah) and formatting milieu or conducive environment. The whole life of the pesantren, both on a micro and macro scale, has been designed to transfer knowledge and value naturally in every daily activity
