Development of Children's Moral Intelligence According to al-Ghozali
This research aims to explain the moral development of children according to al-Ghozali. Al-Ghozali as a Muslim philosopher has his views. This research is vital because child delinquency that is currently occurring, such as committing abuse and murder, can be categorized as a criminal act. One of the causes of delinquency is the weak distinction between goodness (al-khair) and evil (al-syar) as a fundamental moral principle. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research. The data consists of the writings of al-Ghozali as the figure studied, books that study al-Ghozali's moral thinking, and scientific journals that discuss moral intelligence. The collected data was then analyzed using the content analysis method. The research results explain that motivation for intelligent morals is based on the spirit of religion, namely happiness in this world and the hereafter, and the measure of good and evil is not only the mind and heart but also the Shari'a. All children have the potential to be morally intelligent with the determining factors being education and family, not genetics. There are four virtues (fadhilah) which are the main aspects in developing children's intelligence through the concept of a "middle way" between excessive badness (al-ifrath) and negligence (tafrith), namely: al-hikmah (hikmah), as-syaja'ah (courage), al-iffah (self-preservation), and al-adl (justice). This research is limited to the moral aspects of child development. This research strengthens the concept of moral intelligence in children, which al-Ghazali has discussed, and provides differences in the idea put forward by al-Ghozali and Western thinkers
Moderation Islamic Spiritual Values in Social Entrepreneurship Learning Models
This research tests the dependent variable of business longevity among social micro-business actors, influenced by three independent variables: attitudinal values, self-efficacy, and cognitive dissonance, with the moderating variable of Islamic spiritual values. The goal is to develop a social entrepreneurship learning model for students based on local wisdom and values. The research model modifies the theory of planned behavior by enhancing the attitude concept and adding moderating variables, including Islamic spiritual values. Quantitative survey research employing purposive sampling was conducted with 200 adult Muslim social micro-business actors in the Klaten area. Structural Equation Model tests reveal direct influences of attitude values, self-efficacy, and cognitive dissonance on business longevity. The moderation test for Islamic spiritual values strengthens attitude and self-efficacy while weakening cognitive dissonance. Managerial implications suggest strategies to enhance the Islamic spiritual value ethos. Future sustainable activities include developing learning model textbooks for students based on local wisdom values to reinforce attitude values and self-efficacy and mitigate cognitive dissonance concerning business sustainability. The findings indicate a moderate level of religiosity in the Klaten Regency area, hindering the moderating role of Islamic spiritual values
Multifaceted Instructional Leadership of School Principals to Improve Student Character in The Digital Era
This research explores the multifaceted role of principals' instructional leadership in fostering student character development. This research was conducted at the Junior High School (SMP) Muhammadiyah Boarding School in Masbagik, East Lombok, using a qualitative and case study approach. The researcher collects data through interviews, observation, and document analysis. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman data reduction model, data presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification distils the main dimensions of leadership and their influence on character education. The informants for this research were the school principal, teachers and school committee. These findings reveal eight distinct leadership roles: strategic visionary, educational innovator, adaptive problem solver, evaluator, community builder, cultural architect, responsive adapter, and long-term strategist. Each role makes a unique contribution to student character development. These roles collectively contribute to the character-centred ethos of education and are corroborated by current instructional leadership research. This study offers valuable insights and implications for improving character education through adaptive and nuanced leadership practices, making significant contributions to the broader discourse on instructional leadership and character development in education
Islamic Character Education in the Era of Industry 5.0: Navigating Challenges and Embracing Opportunities
This research examines the challenges and opportunities of Islamic character education in the context of the digital world in the era of Industrial Revolution 5.0. This era has changed the landscape of Islamic character education, with digital technology increasingly penetrating everyday life. This research uses a mixed methods approach by combining qualitative and quantitative methods. A qualitative approach was used through interviews and observations. A quantitative approach was carried out through a survey with an online questionnaire. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis methods and descriptive statistics. The research results show several challenges in implementing Islamic character education in the digital world. These include a lack of public understanding of the character of Islam, unequal access to technology, and the potential for conflict between traditional values and the impact of digital technology. However, this research also identifies significant opportunities, such as greater access to Islamic character education resources via the Internet, innovative educational applications, and the possibility of global collaboration to develop Islamic character. In conclusion, Islamic character education in the digital world in the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 offers significant challenges but also great opportunities. The originality of these findings lies in a holistic understanding of the impact of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 on Islamic character and efforts to educate it
Metacognitive Strategies to Improve Critical Thinking and Learner Autonomy in Writing Argumentative Texts in Islamic Boarding Schools
This study examines the effects of metacognitive strategies on critical thinking skills and learner autonomy in argumentative writing among students in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools (Mambaus Sholihin Gresik, Amanatul Ummah Mojokerto, Al-Amin Prenduan Madura, and Al-Rosyid Bojonegoro). This study uses mixed methods; the research integrated quantitative data from pre-tests and post-tests with qualitative insights from interviews, questionnaires, and observations to evaluate the strategies' effectiveness. Qualitative findings revealed that applying metacognitive strategies in a four-week argumentative writing module involving goal setting, monitoring, and reflection effectively improved students' critical thinking skills, independence, and writing abilities in Indonesian Islamic boarding schools. Quantitative results indicated that metacognitive strategies significantly enhanced students' abilities to construct coherent arguments and manage the writing process independently (F = 1.540, Sig. = 0.014). However, the overall impact on critical thinking skills and learner autonomy was not statistically significant. Theoretically, the findings confirm that metacognitive strategies enhance analytical and evaluation skills, emphasise the need for contextual adjustments, support the role of peer feedback in boosting metacognitive awareness, and underscore the value of integrating local values to enhance student motivation and independence. Future research should explore the long-term effects, involve more boarding schools, and consider contextual factors such as teacher roles and integration into the Islamic boarding school environment
Evaluation of the Independent Curriculum in Special Schools to Enhance Participation of Children with Special Needs
The independent curriculum aims to create an inclusive learning environment in special schools, where children with special needs are fully integrated into the learning process with their friends without barriers or discrimination. This research aims to evaluate the achievements of the independent curriculum in particular schools in increasing the participation of children with special needs in learning. This research uses an evaluation method using the CIPPO model developed by Stufflebeam and Shinkfield. The research instrument was shown to school principals, vice principals, and teachers as a questionnaire. Using random sampling techniques, 32 respondents were chosen, consisting of 3 principals, 7 vice principals, and 25 teachers. The findings of this research identify the lowest measurement of evaluation results, namely in the input aspect, namely the involvement of parents in decision making, support for facilities and infrastructure, and social support from friends need to be improved. So, the recommendation that needs to be improved is that schools and teachers must develop partnerships with community organizations and government institutions to support inclusion efforts, including providing additional services and social support for children with special needs. In addition, particular schools must prioritize providing information and training to parents, teachers, students, and the community about the importance of inclusion, the rights of children with special needs, and the best ways to support their participation in the learning process
Strengthening Islamic Education Values through Kaili Da'a Local Ethnic Cultural Symbol
This research aims to examine the meaning of Kaili ethnic cultural symbols to strengthen the values of Islamic education among the Kaili ethnic community. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach. The data collection technique in this research uses observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis in this research uses single data analysis (individual case analysis), with the data analysis model from Miles and Huberman, through three paths of activities that occur simultaneously. This research found that there are sambulugana symbols and sintuvu symbols in organizing their daily life systems. These symbols are interpreted deeply because they have fundamental values. The sambulugana symbol teaches the concept of gratitude and resignation to God Almighty. Meanwhile, the sintuvu concept teaches the values of ukhuwah or cooperation between people. The sintuvu symbol reminds the Kaili ethnic community of how they live in interdependence with one another. The sintuvu symbol also teaches us not to create distance between relatives. So, as much as possible, maintain kinship relations even in buying and selling (exchanging goods)
Development of Multicultural Education Through Sufism's Value of Satlogi Santri in Pesantren
This research explores the development of multicultural education through sufism values ??in Islamic boarding schools. Santri satlogy refers to the philosophical values ??in Islamic boarding schools, consisting of sufism values that emphasize the importance of tolerance, inclusiveness and respect for diversity, which are crucial components in this educational approach. This research uses a qualitative case study design using interviews, observation and document analysis to collect data at the Zainul Hasan Genggong Islamic Boarding School. Then, Miles and Huberman were used to analyze the data. Research findings reveal that the value of sufism and the santri satlogy as a catalyst for the development of multicultural education plays a vital role in advancing multicultural education. Santri satlogy can incorporate Sufi thoughts to foster a more comprehensive and spiritually oriented education. By emphasising the values ??of courtesy, steadfastness or istiqomah or perseverance, advice, taqwallah, ridhallah, and sincerity lillahi ta'ala can help students develop the critical skills necessary for success in this life and the next. These principles can foster empathy and tolerance towards others, essential for promoting harmony and peace in multicultural communities. Limitations are shown on the site regarding how the sufism values ??contained in the santri satlogy can develop multicultural education in Islamic boarding schools. The injection of sufism values ??into the santri satlogy enables the students to develop a deeper understanding of Islamic teachings and local culture while promoting tolerance and respect for diversity. Sufism values ??have been integrated into Islamic boarding school educational practices, resulting in a more inclusive and just learning environment. The study concluded that santri satlogy as a sufism value has the potential to contribute to the development of multicultural education in other Islamic educational institutions
Multiple Intelligences-Based Learning Strategies for Islamic Religious Education in Private Elementary Schools
This research examines the application of multiple intelligences-based learning strategies in Islamic religious education learning in several elementary schools in Medan, including planning, implementation, and evaluation, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors, to assess the effectiveness and challenges in supporting diverse learning. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach to examine multiple intelligences-based learning strategies in Islamic religious education in four Elementary Schools (SD) in Medan, namely Panca Budi Private Elementary School, Anbata Plus Elementary School, Shafiyyatul Amaliyah Elementary School, and Brigjend Katamso Private Elementary School, through observation, interviews and documentation, with data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model and testing the validity of the data through triangulation. The research results show that teachers plan to prepare syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments based on multiple intelligence strategies. A multiple intelligences approach to religious learning recognizes each student's unique intelligence, increases their engagement, and expands the development of numerous relevant aspects of intelligence. This strategy encourages students' learning motivation and creates an inclusive environment while teachers adapt the centre's syllabus and use multiple learning methods. Evaluation is based on the student's learning process and intelligence, with the school and parents actively supporting this process. Although supporting factors include teachers' mastery of the material and student's interest in learning, some obstacles include limited perceptions about Islamic religious education, a limited evaluation system, and a lack of supervision of teaching by school principals and school supervisors. The implications of this research contribute to educational literature on integrating multiple intelligence strategies in religious learning, which opens up space for further research development
Influence Organisational Culture, Leadership Style, and Discipline Toward Performance Lecturer with Motivation as Mediation
Understanding the influence of organizational culture, leadership style, and discipline on lecturer performance can provide deeper insight into improving lecturer performance and the quality of education at regional private universities. This research aims to analyze the impact of organizational culture, leadership style and discipline on the performance of lecturers at private universities in South Sulawesi while identifying motivation as a mediator between the independent and dependent variables. This study applies a survey approach and regression analysis in quantitative research methodology, using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to analyze the connections between independent variables, intervening variables, and dependent variables. The SEM analysis results reveal that culture organization has a positive impact on lecturer motivation. However, there is no significant influence on their performance. Additionally, leadership style temporarily has a negative and significant influence on lecturer motivation without a substantial effect on performance. While discipline has no direct impact on performance, it contributes optimistically to motivation. Motivation plays a crucial role as a mediator between independent and dependent variables, indicating that enhancing culture organization, leadership style, and discipline can increase motivation and lecturer performance in the region. The limitations of this research focus are limited to private educational institutions in South Sulawesi, as well as the limitations of the SEM model and data, emphasizing the necessity of advanced studies with broader coverage and diverse data collection methods. Understanding the relationship between the influence of organizational culture, leadership style and discipline on lecturer performance is expected to provide deeper insight into improving lecturer performance and the quality of education offered at private universities in the region
