    Peningkatan Kapasitas Petani melalui Pelatihan dan Demplot Padi Inpago Unram I untuk Ketahanan Pangan di Desa Suranadi Kabupaten Lombok Barat

    Superior varieties of Inpago Unram I along with cultivation technology and empowering farmer groups in rural areas are needed in order to maintain national rice self-sufficiency. The problem encountered in Gapoktan Mata Air 2 Suranadi Village is that they are not yet familiar with the Inpago Unram I variety. The purpose of the activity is to increase participants' knowledge and skills about Inpago Unram I rice cultivation applications. The method used is the training method followed by practical work in the field and participatory action research in the field from preparation to harvest. The stages of the activity include counseling and field laboratory practice (Demplot) on 4:1 legowo planting, use of optimum seedling age on a land area of 10 ares. Evaluation to measure the success of this activity is carried out through pre-tests and post-tests of participants and participant responses to the implementation of field practice. The training activity began with the delivery of material by the community service team about Inpago Unram I Red Rice as Functional Rice and the application of its cultivation technology, which was continued with discussion. During the counseling activity, participants were actively involved. This was shown by various questions asked by participants during the discussion. The activity was continued with practical work in the field from preparation to harvest. Based on the results of the activity, it was concluded that there was an increase in the capacity of training participants through increased knowledge and skills of participants about Padi Inpago Unram I as a functional rice quality seed based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, namely from 58.5% to 88.5% and the activeness of participants during the extension. The increase in the skills of training participants was shown by the active involvement of participants in the demonstration plot by practicing rice cultivation techniques with the 4:1 legowo row system at a seedling age of 18 days

    The implementation of E-evaluation based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in private high schools remains limited. Observations from the Community Service Team revealed several issues, including the minimal use of E-evaluation in Muhammadiyah High Schools. Interviews with the principal and several teachers indicated that evaluations are still predominantly paper-based. In 4.0 era, it is essential for both teachers and students to adapt the technological advancements, especially in the evaluation process. E-evaluation serves as an effective tool for assessment at the high school level. The goals of this initiative are to: 1) enhance the technological skills of teachers at partner private schools, 2) improve teachers' understanding of E-evaluation, 3) develop HOTS-based E-evaluation products, and 4) increase teachers’ knowledge about crafting questions that promote Higher Order Thinking Skills. The methods used include presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. The proposed steps for working with teachers are: 1) FDG, 2) training and mentoring, 3) monitoring, and 4) evaluation. The outcomes of this activity include: (1) 90% teacher participation, (2) 80% teachers grasping how to formulate HOTS-based questions, (3) 90% understanding the use of E-evaluation, (4) 90% of students gaining familiarity with courses in Human and Computer Interaction, Teaching Strategies, and Learning Evaluation, (5) the creation of an E-evaluation module/guidebook, (6) certificates for teachers who develop E-evaluation questions, (7) visual materials such as posters, (8) published articles in the Abdi Insani journal, (9) media coverage of activities in online platforms, and (10) activity videos uploaded to the STKIP Taman Siswa YouTube channel.     In Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, major earthquakes triggered by transform margin or plate shift often arise, leading to casualties, not only claiming lives but also affecting the livelihood of locals. Karang Bayan Village is a region division of Segerongan Village, these areas are often affected by major earthquakes, the last one took place not too long ago, in 2018. Due to its area located on the mountain slope of Rinjani, Karang Bayan has captivating scenery with a rather mild temperature, making it a perfect tourist destination. Karang Bayan offers various tourist attractions, starting from tours of traditional houses, durian orchards, horse riding, rafting, waterfalls, and many more to explore around the village. To boost tourism, Karang Bayan needs to establish proper accommodations along with other tourist facilities like restaurants. Ferrocement-coated buildings are suitable options considering their strength to withstand an earthquake. Mesh wire application on a ferrocement is more economical and practical compared to applying reinforced columns, reinforced beams, or beam-column joints reinforcement detailing. Both planning and construction are integral parts of founding strong buildings, miscalculations will pose threats to the inhabitants of the building. Karang Bayan community has limited knowledge of mesh-wired ferrocement walls for earthquake-resistant buildings, this community service is carried out in the hope people of Karang Bayan will be capable of constructing earthquake-resistant buildings with mesh-wired ferrocement walls. Positive feedback is shown by enthusiastic discussion between the Karang Bayan community with the community service team

    Data for 2022, Bogor district waste reaches 2,800 tons per day. The Waste Bank is one of the solutions to environmental problems that occur in Bogor Regency, besides that the Waste Bank is a forum for the community to remain empowered to generate profits from the waste sorting process. This concept is in line with sociopreneurship (social entrepreneurship) which focuses primarily on social missions and goals to the commercial side. Departing from social goals, youth Indonesians must be empowered to achieve big social missions. So, the subject of community service activities carried out in Pamijahan Village is youth development who can be involved in village programs. Video is one of the closest and easily accessible media for generation Z (17-26 years). Therefore, we designed communication media by making video media as a source of information for youth development in Pamijahan Village, Bogor Regency. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, it showed that there was an increase in knowledge of them. Changing cognition is expected to build awareness of the importance of the Waste Bank and bring out the spirit of sociopreneurship (social entrepreneurship) in youth development for a sustainable village program

    Kabupaten Lombok Utara (KLU) merupakan kabupaten termuda dari 8 kabupaten yang berada di wilayah Nusa Tenggara Barat. KLU sendiri terus berbenah untuk terus dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan penduduknya, hal ini dapat dilihat dari data BPS, terjadi penurunan kemiskinan yang signifikan dari tahun 2019 berada pada angka 29% dan pada tahun 2023 sudah turun menjadi 25,8%. Capaian ini akan terus ditingkatkan agar penduduk miskin dapat ditekan serendah-rendahnya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah meningkatkan peran serta petani milenial yang berada di KLU untuk menggarap lahan pertanian dengan konsep modern. Pengabdian ini berfokus pada budidaya tanaman dengan metode hidroponik sebagai salah satu bentuk pertanian modern. Hal pertama yang dilakukan dalam pelatihan adalah melakukan observasi tingkat pemahaman atau pengetahuan mengenai pertanian modern dengan sistem hidroponik, setelah itu penyampaian materi oleh beberapa narasumber dari akademisi, praktisi dan koperasi, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan bertanam sayuran hidroponik, dan yang terakhir adalah evaluasi hasil. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian di Kayangan, KLU berjalan dengan lancar, masyarakat petani milenial dengan sangat antusias. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari peran serta dan keaktifan mereka selama mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan hidroponik.     Community service is an integral part of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, playing a crucial role in the development of knowledge and the improvement of societal well-being. As a tangible manifestation of this responsibility, the faculty members of the Chemistry Department at FMIPA, Universitas Pattimura, conducted a community service program titled "Introduction to Basic Chemistry" at SMA Negeri 42 Maluku Tengah. This program aimed to enhance students' interest and understanding of chemistry through interactive and educational approaches. The methods employed included the dissemination of information about the Chemistry Department, the introduction of basic chemistry concepts, interactive discussions, and a survey of students' interest before and after the program. The results showed a significant increase in students' interest in chemistry, with the most substantial growth observed in their interest in further exploring and pursuing studies in the field. Positive feedback from students and accompanying teachers affirmed the effectiveness of the approach used. In conclusion, this community service program successfully achieved its primary objectives and contributed positively to strengthening scientific literacy among students. To achieve national energy security, it is necessary to regulate the development of renewable energy to all groups including students, must work together to encourage energy conservation and diversification programs. Based on this, training on the planning of new and renewable energy potential measurement methods was conducted to improve student skills in theory and implementation in the field of new and renewable energy. The methodology in this activity will involve a structured series of steps to measure renewable energy potential while improving students' practical skills and interpersonal skills.     The Sustainable Food Home Area Program (KRPL) is an activity that encourages residents to develop a small-scale food crops, animal husbandry and fisheries by utilizing their home gardens. Since community activity are restricted during Covid-19, the economy become unstable and decrease the ability to meet food needs. This activity aims to re-empower the community by introducing a verticulture technique utilizing bamboo and used bowl that are easily found in the village and supporting the KRPL program. The verticulture technique is suitable for application to vegetable plants, including mustard greens, kale, chilies, eggplants and onions. This activity was carried out in Gapura Village, Pujut District, Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. The method used is direct counseling and training in making verticulture media from bamboo. Through this activity, the Gapura village community has additional knowledge and stimulation in creativity to maximize the use of existing land potential to create food resilience especially vegetables and support welfare

    Renewable energy knowledge continues to be implemented by the University of Mataram. Community service activities, especially segmentation of the younger generation, are concentrated in Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs). This activity plays an important role in increasing the awareness of the younger generation about sustainable energy and environmentally friendly technology. The community service carried out at MTs Negeri 1 Mataram aims to increase students' understanding of renewable energy, especially solar energy, through interactive socialization and education activities. The evaluation of the results of the activity using pre-test and post-test showed a significant increase in student knowledge. The average pre-test score of 68.20 increased to 85.75 after participating in the education program, reflecting the effectiveness of the approach used. These results confirm the importance of integrating materials on renewable energy in the school curriculum, so that students can understand and actively contribute to maintaining environmental sustainability in the future

    Meningkatkan Partisipasi Mahasiswa pada Program MBKM Mandiri-Asistensi Mengajar melalui Pelatihan Mandiri Terintegrasi

    Integrated Independent Training aims to increase the participation of students, supervising lecturers, and mentor teachers in MBKM, especially the Independent-Teaching Assistance (MBKM Mandiri-AM) activity at the FKIP, University of Mataram. This program includes preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up to support teaching and mentoring. The results are (1) MBKM effectively supports IKU achievements through direct experience-based activities, such as AM-Mandiri and Kampus Mengajar, compared to independent study and (2) Integrated Independent Training improves the understanding of Supervising Lecturers, Mentor Teachers, and Students. Follow-up after the training includes semester preparation, information dissemination, and reinforcement through support, monitoring, and follow-up programs. Recommendations for development in the form of program expansion are suggested through social media, public lectures, and training. From this entire process, it can be concluded that this program has great potential to increase the involvement and quality of MBKM implementation at the FKIP, University of Matara
