Utilization of Agricultural Waste Substrates with Inorganic Salt Medium as Nutrient Enhancer for Biosurfactant Production by MEOR-Oriented Bacterial Consortia
The decline in oil recovery during secondary processes has led to the exploration of tertiary methods such as Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR). This study investigates biosurfactant production by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Bacillus subtilis in a co-culture system, optimizing fermentation media and evaluating effectiveness in oil recovery. Seven media were tested based on optical density (OD600), emulsification index (E24), oil displacement area (ODA), and yield of wet crude biosurfactant, observed over five days. The highest E24 value, 89.66% was recorded on day two using used lubricant as the water-immiscible phase. The best ODA values were 44.49 cm² for supernatant (ODA SNT) and 55.86 cm² for wet crude biosurfactant (ODA CBS). The optimized production medium contained 2% (v/v) waste cooking oil, 1% (w/v) molasses, and 1% (v/v) tofu wastewater. Partial purification of the culture broth through acid precipitation and solvent extraction yielded the highest wet crude biosurfactant on day three, reaching 155 g/L. The co-culture system at a 1:1 P/B ratio effectively reduced oil-water interfacial tension, as demonstrated by the high ODA values, particularly in the purified crude biosurfactant. This highlights the eco-friendly potential of biosurfactants for MEOR applications.

Dampak Financial Technology (Fintech) terhadap Pengangguran di Beberapa Negara Berkembang
This study aims to analyze the effect of financial technology (fintech) adoption on unemployment rates in 77 developing countries with observation periods in 2014, 2017, and 2021. Fintech is represented by four main indicators, namely bank account ownership (BA), internet use for payments (IU), digital transactions (DP), and mobile money account ownership (MMA). The research data were sourced from the Global Findex Database and the World Bank, analyzed using panel data regression with a Random Effect Model (REM) approach through the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method. The results of the study show that economic growth (GDP growth) has a significant negative effect on unemployment rates, in accordance with Okun\u27s law. In terms of fintech, bank account ownership (BA) has a significant negative effect on unemployment, confirming the role of formal financial access in increasing employment opportunities. Conversely, internet use for payments (IU) has a significant positive effect on unemployment, indicating that passive utilization has not been able to encourage the creation of new jobs. Meanwhile, the variables of digital transactions (DP) and mobile money account ownership (MMA) did not show a significant effect on unemployment. Overall, the results of the study confirm that fintech has the potential to reduce unemployment rates in developing countries, but its impact is highly dependent on the form of adoption and the level of active use. The results have significant implications for financial inclusion policies and the role of financial technology in creating job opportunities
Does Digital Transformation Improve Business Resilience? The Role of Organizational Adaptation with Innovation, Digitalization, and Marketing Strategies
This study explores the impact of digital transformation on business resilience among Indonesian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), with organizational adaptation serving as a mediator. Using a quantitative approach and Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), this research investigates 180 MSME respondents\u27 data. The results show that digital transformation, operational digitalization, product innovation, and digital marketing strategies impact business resilience both directly and indirectly through organizational adaptation. Organizational adaptation, per se, is discovered to be a key contributor to resilience, implying MSMEs\u27 ability to respond effectively, innovate, and reorganize activities when faced with external shocks. The evidence also confirms that adaptive capability mediates digital transformation and business resilience. These findings enhance the theory of dynamic capabilities in the context of digital disruption and provide practical implications for the digital strategies and policy development of MSMEs in emerging economies
Upaya Pengendalian Kualitas pada Proses Produksi Roti Tawar dengan Statistic Process Control (SPC) dan Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) (Studi Kasus Pabrik Roti RV)
RV Bakery faces challenges in maintaining product quality due to fluctuating defect rates, particularly in white bread production. This issue has the potential to undermine customer trust and result in market losses. This study aims to analyse defect levels, identify the root causes of defects, and develop corrective solutions to reduce product defects. The methods employed include Statistical Process Control (SPC) to statistically monitor production process variations and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to prioritize corrective actions based on Risk Priority Number (RPN) values. The 5W+1H approach was used to formulate improvement steps. The analysis results revealed that burnt defects dominated at 78% compared to collapsed defects at 22%. Through control charts, it was found that burnt defects exceeded the Upper Control Limit (UCL) at two points, specifically on October 15 and 17, 2024. The root causes of defects were identified using a cause-and-effect diagram, encompassing human, material, machine, and method factors. Corrective measures included adjusting baking time using timers, utilizing thermometers to ensure stable oven temperatures, and implementing stricter Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The implementation of these improvements significantly reduced the number of defective products, with defect rates consistently remaining within control limits
