Penser la résistance au néant. Tensions et refus du silence chez Mallarmé et Beckett
How to think the resistance to nothingness ? Tension and refusal of silence with Mallarmé and Beckett The notion of nothingless crosses a huge part of the Mallarmé's and Beckett's works. Source of transcendence or source of a manifest depression, the nothingless proves to be a decisive line of research in order to broach those artists. We have to intersect the nothingless to the conditions of the text in order to reveal the existence of an ontological resistance. If with Beckett, the resignation appears as a fundamental element, we will detect in this litterature a vital force. Mallarmé proceeds that way when he wants to reconnect to poetry's orality, putting the voice at the center of the poet's preoccupations. Nevertheless, to think the notion of resistance for those two autors, we have to resolve a paradox. Indeed, we have to reconcile a logic of events with a physical's universe intensely homogeneous. With this aim in mind, we will lean on Leibniz's and Deleuze's thoughts to describe the mechanisms of this resistance
Étude de la narration de l’absurde dans une perspective textuelle
This paper will examine a set of linguistic parameters which contribute to explaining the absurd creation by focusing on some possibilities of textual organization. It will be shown that the absurd narration is inspired by the concepts of connexity, sequantility and cohesion, namely by discontinuous and incongruent language use, elliptical narrative structure or the lack of sufficient information. Our combined literary and linguistic analysis is outlined on absurdist fictions like Camus’s L’Étranger, Michaux’s prose poems (La jetée and Un homme perdu) and Ionesco’s micro-fictions taken out of La cantatrice chauve

Problems and traps of the eligibility of expenditure in projects co-financed by ERDF and CF in the field of cultureThe structural and cohesion funds play a very significant role in financing investments in the cultural sector in Poland. The eligibility of expenditure under the European Structural and Investment Funds is determined on the basis of national legislation, with the exception of cases in which specific provisions were laid down in the EU Regulations or under them. This means that the detailed requirements and rules for incurring costs, documenting them, as well as settling them are practically determined on the level of the EU Member States. Therefore, the national regulations largely determine the degree of difficulty in correctly settling the costs of a project, which in turn affects the absorption capacity of EU funds. Most frequent errors in spending the EU money concern the eligibility of expenditures. To attract a structural fund support, expenditure by projects must be eligible in terms of the Operational Programme, the relevant EC Regulations and the national eligibility rules. Based on the author’s practical experience and the content analysis of formal documents as regards the European cohesion policy, this paper presents problems of determining the eligibility of expenditure in the case of cultural projects. Irregularities in the disbursement of funds may lead to the imposition of financial corrections onto beneficiaries, or to deeming the whole or part of the expenditure as non-eligible. The author suggests how to avoid irregularities as regards personnel costs and public procurement rules on the national and European Union level in projects co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Cohesion Fund
The polymer-micellar aggregates as an efficient reducer of the energy losses in pipe flow
The paper presents polymer-micellar aggregates as efficient drag reducers of the energy losses in straight pipe flow. A small amount of high molecular polymers: Polyethylene Oxide, Cetyltrimetyl Ammonium Bromide surfactant and Sodium Salicylate salt additives, are applied to obtain polymer-micellar aggregates formation. An analysis of how polymermicellar additives influence the shape and character of flow resistance curves has been performed. It is documented that for polymer-micellar solutions the stable transitional zone between, the laminar and the turbulent flows are extended toward higher values of the Reynolds number. Occurrence of the third turbulent zone of drag reduction is also observed

Bishop Antanas Baranauskas is a prominent personality in the history of the Lithuanian culture. He is well known not only as a profound theologian, a talented musician creating hymns, a literary classicist and an initiator of Lithuanian dialectology, but also as a distinguished figure in the science of mathematics. The author of this article turns his attention to the mathematical legacy of this prominent Lithuanian character and aspires to reveal the circumstances that encouraged bishop Antanas Baranauskas to undertake research in mathematics, to describe the influence of his achievements in the science of mathematics, to show the incentives that encouraged him to pursue mathematical research in Lithuania as well as to emphasize his search for a connection between mathematics and theology
The influence of major cities architecture (Paris, Rennes, Vienna, Graz) on form of Krakow town houses from the turn of the 20th century
Krakow town houses from the turn of the 20th century have mainly distinct character, in spite of many similarities and analogies to architecture of Paris, Rennes, Vienna and Graz among (among others applying similar materials and decorative motives). Their elevations have mid- level forms between sobriety and moderation of French houses, and mainly decorative of Vienna ones (and some of Paris). Town houses described in the paper were connected with the history of cities, set in the tradition of local images and techniques

The special case of G audi’s architecture is examined in detail and subjected to analysis; this architecture can be defined as “game and play” conducted in a masterly manner in the world of elementary solids
Investigations of strength and leak tightness of wave-ring gasket
The paper deals with stress-strain analysis and estimation of leak tightness of wave-ring gaskets. The investigations are carried out using the simplified analytical approach. A cylindrical shell of constant mean thickness is introduced to simulate the gasket. It is assumed that the shell is simply supported at the inner surface of the seat. The influence of certain geometric and assembly parameters on the strength and leak tightness of the closure is analytically investigated. The results are presented in dimensionless variables in order to generalise the conclusions. The analytical solution is verified by FEM calculations and compared with the experimental results

To meet these requirements, a vacuum void and its adjacent diagnostic systems are exposed to elevated temperatures (baking) after assembly to outgas all volatile surface contaminants. The baking temperature peaks as high as 250°C for up to 24 hours

From the digital designer’s perspective programming geometry can be seen as creative play with form and a process of generation/exploration, as well as the possibility of applying computing power as a co-designer in the process of finding solutions for complicated architectural design tasks
