The metabolism process of humanoids is well designed for emitting the heat constantly. But no heat transfer phenomena occur from the spinal side of the body in sitting posture. The proper heat transfer is arrested in the sitting posture; this makes the human to feel discomfort. The bus drivers are the main victims who face this problem every day and cause of the disease called “hemorrhoid”. This project mainly focused to modify and construct a convenient chilled cushion chair with jam-backed Phase Change Material (PCM) to overcome such problems. This chair absorbs body heat when occupied and discharges while vacant. The stages when liquid change to solid and solid change to liquid occurs nearly by a constant temperature. The chair provides a cooling effect and also a cushioning effect to the occupier. The PCMs are having large latent heat and provide a cooling effect by maintaining nearly by constant temperature to the human body.  The jam-backed chilled cushion chair is invented for improved thermal comfort for the driver for some extended time by the proper temperature that acceptable level of the human. The performance tests are carried out to evaluate the working of the pad

Microwave link aligning is an important operation in communication systems. Misalignment in line of sight link due to rain, wind etc considered the basic problem that faced the microwave system. This problem caused a direct terminating of the microwave link. Automatic antenna alignment will guarantee best communication at the link’s ends without any risks of human interface. This paper presented a low cost design of an automatic antenna alignment system based on arduino and using Xbee wireless technology. The design in the paper is automatically adjusting the horizontal and vertical angles in the transmitter and receiver sides of the microwave link. The controller compared the measured values of these two angles with a reference values. The correction of the error in the angles is done by moving the antenna towards the correct position. The design was tested in different angles positions and the results were reported in the paper. The simulation results ensure that the system works successfully

The percentage of blinds according to the world health organization is 0.4% of the population in industrialized countries and it rises to 1% in the developing countries. This paper aimed to help these categories of people to overcome their problems to move towards any location independently. The design in this paper specified three paths in the University of Gezira to help the visually impaired students to reach different places in the university campus easily. These paths were monitored and controlled using GPS and raspberry pi technology. Three switches were used to help the blind to select his path. An important feature was provided by this system, in which when the blind gets out of the selected path, the system automatically determined how far he is away from the path and a voice massage alerted him and guided him through headphone to return in the path. Ultrasonic sensors are used to alert for any detected obstacle along the path. Moreover, the system automatically calculated the distance between the blind and obstacle, which allows the blind to avoid it easily. This system informs the blind the distance that remains to reach to the required destination. The design has been experimentally tested and the results showed that the guiding system works correctly, which proved the ability to generalize this system in other places

    No full text
The content distribution and retrieval efficiency are needed to have a business process flow. Several conditions are often a problem in a communication network, so an effort is required to provide architectural models that meet the required needed, especially in the Aerocity area. Therefore, content distribution and retrieval architecture are needed through communication networks that match the characteristics of the Aerocity area, which are generally divided into clusters, ranging from airport clusters, housing, commercial businesses, and others. Research that deals explicitly with this field is still not widely available. This paper aims to discuss the distribution and retrieval model of content that can be developed using a distributed system approach. Besides, this paper will provide a review of previous studies and propose architectural models

    No full text
DBMS Scheduler Package is one of Oracle DBMS Packages that has the ability to perform automatic execution of data management at a predefined time. Oracle DBMS Scheduler is able to be integrated with Oracle Application Express on a web-based application. Web-based application can be accessed by a huge number of concurrent users that uses the same data on the database. On some conditions, users will not be allowed to change their data until the state of the current data is closed to maintain the data integrity, for example the scheduling data on university scheduling guidance between lecturers and students, where the student must not create another schedule until the existing schedule is closed. Data Integrity test is done by implementing web testing. This research found that the Oracle DBMS Scheduler Package is able to maintain data integrity on Web Based Application by closing the reservation schedule slot automatically

Hygrothermal Effect on MWCNT-Filled Epoxy Electrically Conductive Adhesives

To-date, limited studies are found in the literature on the reliability performance of electrically conductive adhesive (ECA) using multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) fillers. Hence, this study aims to provide an understanding on the performance of the ECA with the objectives (i) to study the electrical conductivity and (ii) joint strength of ECA with varying conductive filler’s aspect ratio and environmental conditions. Here, epoxy with MWCNT aspect ratio of 55.5 and 1666.5 were subjected to 85°C and 85% RH for up to 96 hours. The test specimens were prepared in accordance with ASTM F390-11 using a four-point probe for electrical conductivity measurement while the lap shear test was conducted with reference to ASTM D1002-10 using a universal testing machine. For the thermal aging study, the ECA samples were conditioned in a humidity chamber at 85 °C and 85 % of relative humidity to assess the reliability performance of the ECA. Overall, it was found that ECA filled with higher aspect ratio of MWCNT exhibit better electrical and mechanical stability when subjected to hygrothermal aging. Moreover, the presence of moisture attack has yield in an increase in the electrical conductivity of the ECA with thermal aging period. Meanwhile, lap shear test results revealed a contradicting trend. Regardless of the amount of MWCNT filler loading, voids are created in the epoxy matrix of the ECA, which results in a decrease in the shear strength of the ECA, when the samples were subjected to thermal aging
