“La humildad de un ingenio femenino”. Aproximación a la escritura lírica de Sor Violante del Cielo
Get PDFSister Violante del Cielo was a 17th-century nun, writer, and poet. Born in Lisbon, with a bilingual output, though predominantly in Spanish, she is a female authorial voice that enjoyed a certain relevance in her time, but not in later life. Within the framework of an emerging investigation that seeks to revisit the construction of the Golden Canon from a critical and gender perspective, in this presentation we will outline the starting points to approach the construction of Violante's authorial voice in some of her Hispanic poems. In the selected corpus, the authorial voice uses her own name, first-person feminine pronouns, and reformulates topics and structures of Baroque poetry from a differentiated and feminine perspective. Unlike other contemporary poets who eliminated gender markers to construct their lyrical voice, Violante took her place as a woman and a nun to establish her own perspective that fostered lines of escape from the notions of love, femininity, and masculinity crystallized in the hegemonic discourses of the time.Sor Violante del Cielo fue una monja, escritora y poeta del siglo XVII. Nacida en Lisboa, con una producción bilingüe, aunque predominantemente en español, es una voz autoral femenina que tuvo cierta vigencia en su época, aunque no así en la posteridad. En el marco de una investigación incipiente que busca revisitar la construcción del canon áureo desde una perspectiva crítica y de género, en esta ponencia delinearemos ejes de los cuales partir para aproximarnos a la construcción de la voz autoral de Violante en algunos de sus poemas hispánicos. En el corpus seleccionado la voz autoral hace uso de su nombre propio, de pronombres en primera persona femeninos y reformula tópicos y estructuras de la poesía barroca desde una perspectiva diferenciada y femenina. Frente a otras poetas de la época que llevan a cabo una anulación de las marcas de género para construir su voz lírica, Violante toma su lugar como mujer y monja para establecer una mirada propia que promueve líneas de fuga respecto de las nociones de amor, femineidad y masculinidad cristalizadas en los discursos hegemónicos epocales
Dispositivos para leer y escribir en el umbral académico: Pasajes autobiográficos y metadiscursivos
Get PDFEste artículo se adentra en un territorio educativo, discursivo y semiótico, situado entre la escuela secundaria y los estudios superiores. Se parte de la categoría del umbral –instalada en el campo de la Biosemiótica– para dar cuenta de las tensiones y reacomodamientos que experimentan los/as estudiantes con relación a las prácticas de lectura y escritura en el paso hacia la esfera académica quienes, generalmente, se enfrentan a códigos, cánones y normativas distintos a los practicados en la etapa educativa anterior. Asimismo, se pone en diálogo las potencialidades teórico-metodológicas del umbral con otras categorías –pertenecientes, especialmente, a la Didáctica y Pedagogía de la lectura y la escritura y el Análisis del Discurso– y se reflexiona sobre aquellos dispositivos –prácticas, herramientas y estrategias– que favorecen y potencian el paso, dinámico y recursivo, de la escuela secundaria a los estudios superiores; entre ellos, se profundiza en el trabajo con las prácticas escriturales autobiográficas y metadiscursivas/reflexivas. Las indagaciones serán confrontadas y ejemplificadas a través de un corpus de análisis conformado por relatos y ensayos producidos por estudiantes ingresantes a la esfera académica, en los cuales emergen experiencias y testimonios que hacen anclajes en las distintas etapas de sus procesos alfabetizadores –entre los que se destacan, como punto de partida, el mundo familiar y la escuela primaria. Get PDFIn this article, I will address the role played by lesbian existence and experiences in shaping Gloria Anzaldúa's thought. I will argue that lesbianism constitutes a path of knowledge, where sexual, erotic, epistemological and spiritual dimensions are intertwined. For this, I will interpret the “Coatlicue state” as a description of the consequences of internalized lesbophobia. I will show how Anzaldúa provides clues to understanding the workings of shame as well as the articulation between shame and internalization of dominant ideals. Finally, I will ask how we can change, as we are invited to consider that change is the way.En este artículo, abordaré el papel que juega la existencia y las experiencias lesbianas en la conformación del pensamiento de Gloria Anzaldúa. Sostendré que el lesbianismo constituye un camino de conocimiento, donde las dimensiones sexuales, eróticas, epistemológicas y espirituales se entrelazan. Para ello, interpretaré el “estado Coatlicue” como una descripción de las consecuencias de la lesbofobia interiorizada. Mostraré que Anzaldúa proporciona claves para comprender el funcionamiento de la vergüenza, así como la articulación entre vergüenza e interiorización de los ideales dominantes. Por último, me preguntaré cómo podemos cambiar, ya que nos invita a considerar que el cambio es el camino

Get PDFThis article presents a situational overview of carnival in Mendoza through an approach that combines recent history, group surveys, and critical analysis of public policies regarding street use. Based on the Carnaval en Perspectiva project (2021–2022), it explores tensions between self-management and the State, restrictive regulations, and feminist and dissident interventions. Drawing on frameworks from performance studies and the anthropology of festivity, it analyzes carnival as a contested field where meanings of community, collective joy, and the political dimensions of public space are at stake.Este artículo presenta un estado de situación del carnaval en Mendoza a partir de un enfoque que articula historia reciente, relevamientos a agrupaciones y análisis crítico de políticas públicas sobre el espacio callejero. Basado en el proyecto Carnaval en Perspectiva (2021–2022), explora tensiones entre autogestión y Estado, normativas restrictivas e interpelaciones feministas y disidentes. Desde marcos teóricos sobre performance y antropología de la fiesta, se analiza al carnaval como un campo en disputa donde se ponen en juego sentidos sobre comunidad, alegría colectiva y lo político en el espacio público contemporáneo

Get PDFThis paper deals with the idea of borderlands proposed by Chicana feminist Gloria Anzaldúa in Borderlands/La frontera. The New Mestiza (1987). In contrast to the geopolitical notion of the border as a defensive space, G. Anzaldúa suggests that borderlands is a dwelling place. The paper focusses on the elements that explain why borderlands implies a framework of understanding the experience of living between two worlds, and it is a social and political condition that enables the process of the collective identity political formation of Chicanos and Chicano feminism. In sum, the text wants to show how Anzaldúa's idea of borderlands poses a framework for understanding intersectionality in the process to create a new political voice.El objeto de este texto es aproximarse a la idea de frontera que planteó la feminista chicana Gloria Anzaldúa en Borderlands/La frontera. The New Mestiza (1987). En contraste con la noción geopolítica de frontera como un espacio defensivo, G. Anzaldúa presenta una lectura de este espacio como morada. El texto reconstruye los elementos que explican de qué modo hablar de frontera remite a un marco de comprensión sobre la experiencia de habitar entre dos mundos y la cual da lugar al proceso de formación de la identidad política colectiva de los chicanos y del feminismo chicano. En suma, el texto espera demostrar de qué modo la idea de frontera en Anzaldúa plantea un marco de comprensión para abordar la interseccionalidad en los procesos de constitución de una nueva voz política
Sociocrítica de la ciencia ficción en los años kirchneristas
Get PDFDue to certain inconsistencies in its analysis, it has become imperative to describe the ambiguity of the dystopian diagnosis that emerges from the deferred evaluation of history, carried out by the recording apparatus of Argentine science fiction of the last decade as developed in stories by Pola Oloixarac, Hernán Vanoli, Juan I. Pisano, and others. The following study will focus on dismantling the formulas inherent to the cognitive estrangement of the science fiction of our recent past, dependent on the "social discourse" (Angenot, 2010 and 2015) of the progressive cycle in Argentina. The invention of narrative ideologemes capable of textualizing a specific cultural paradigm, the Kirchnerist hegemonic moment, will be the goal of the hermeneutical work in the following sections.A causa de ciertas inconsistencias en su análisis, se ha vuelto perentorio describir la ambigüedad del diagnóstico distópico que emerge de la evaluación diferida de la historia, a cargo del aparato registrador de la ciencia ficción argentina de la década pasada, tal como acontece en relatos de Pola Oloixarac, Hernán Vanoli, Juan I. Pisano y otros. El siguiente artículo se centrará en el desmontaje de las fórmulas comunes al extrañamiento cognoscitivo de la ciencia ficción de nuestro pasado reciente, dependientes del “discurso social” (Angenot, 2010 y 2015) del ciclo progresista en Argentina. Humanismo y humanismo cristiano en Étienne Gilson
Get PDFIn some articles, Gilson discusses the historiographic categories of Renaissance and humanism, noting the ambiguity and insufficiency of these labels. He describes the “literary humanism” of the Renaissance, but warns that there is a more deeply anthropological sense of “humanism” founded on the dignity and value of human nature, very far from the postulates of “atheistic humanism.” However, already in his first writings, he introduced the new expression “Christian humanism”, where human dignity is brought to its fullness by its openness to the supernatural. Otherwise perhaps Gilson is the first thinker to introduce the expression “Christian humanism” picked up years later by other authors and, finally, by the Magisterium of the Church.Gilson trata en diversos artículos las categorías historiográficas de Renacimiento y humanismo, constatando la ambigüedad e insuficiencia de esas etiquetas. Describe el “humanismo literario” del Renacimiento, pero advierte que hay un sentido más profundamente antropológico del “humanismo” fundado en la dignidad y valor de la naturaleza humana, muy lejos de los postulados del “humanismo ateo”. El cuento de los dos poetas: Cadmo y Tifón en el Libro I de las Dionisíacas
Get PDFAs its own title implies, Nonnus of Panopolis’ Dionysiaca sings the deeds of Dionysus. However, the narrative begins much earlier, with the adventures of one of his ancestors: Cadmus. In Book 1, Nonnus mixes the Phoenician hero’s journey with the battle between the gods and Typhon (the Typhonomachy). This mixture works as a means to praise Dionysus and his grandfather and to amplify the poem. On the other hand, it has metapoetic implications. Nonnus portraits Cadmus and Typhon as atypical poets. The very composition of the scene, based on a blend of Homer, Pindar and Theocritus, indicates the similarities and differences between Nonnus and his models. The characters’ vocabulary and style, on their turn, establish poetical approaches that reflect the poetics Nonnus states in his proem.Aunque las Dionisíacas de Nono de Panópolis canten, como señala su título, los hechos del dios Dioniso, la narración comienza mucho antes, con las aventuras de su ancestro Cadmo. En el libro 1 de la obra, el poeta mezcla la saga del héroe fenicio con la batalla entre los dioses y Tifón (la Tifonomaquia). Por un lado, esta mezcla sirve al elogio de Dioniso y su abuelo y a la amplificación del poema; por otro, a la metapoesía. Nono presenta a Cadmo y a Tifón como poetas atípicos. La misma composición de la escena, basada en una mezcla de Homero, Píndaro y Teócrito, señala las semejanzas y diferencias entre Nono y sus modelos. El vocabulario de los personajes y el estilo de sus discursos, a su vez, establecen poéticas que, de alguna manera, reflejan la poética que el propio Nono explicita en su proemio
Effects of Gibberellic Acid on Flowering Reduction, Fruit Quality and Yield of ‘d’Agen’ Plum (Prunus domestica L.) in Mendoza, Argentina
Get PDFIn Mendoza, the primary industrial plum-producing region in Argentina, the ‘d’Agen’ cultivar represents approximately 90% of the cultivated area. The limited implementation of fruit thinning has a detrimental effect on final fruit size. The objective of this study was to determine the timing of flower induction in ’d’Agen’ plum and to evaluate the response to gibberellic acid (GA) application to reduce flower density and improve fruit size. Over three growing seasons in San Rafael (Mendoza), experiments were conducted on plants grafted onto ‘Marianna 2624’, spaced at 5x3 m and drip irrigated. GA (100 ppm) was applied at four distinct phenological stages: fruit set, young fruit, fruit near final size, postharvest, and a control with no GA application. In the first two seasons, the H phenological stage (fruit set, Baggiolini scale) was identified as the optimum time for reducing flowering via GA application. In the third season, increasing GA concentrations (0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 ppm) were evaluated. All concentrations reduced floral density compared to the control. However, fruit set was negatively affected by the 75 and 100 ppm treatments. The decline in flowering (between 60% and 90%) was incompatible with commercial yields. It was concluded that the optimal time for GA application to reduce floral density in ‘d’Agen’ plum was during phenological stage H. Further research is required to determine the most effective dose below 25 ppm.
